"What?! Why aren't you saying anything huh?! Are you guilty?!"
"Or are you hiding something from us?!"
His interrogating tone instantly became suspicious when he saw that Yani didn't say anything and remained silent.
Usually, she would've had retorted already when he questioned her. To see his daughter so silent today, there was definitely something wrong.
Yani's eyes became misty looking at her father like this, almost unable to hold back her emotions.
Seeing his daughter about to cry, he instantly became a worried parent, wondering if he was asking too harsh just now, making his daughter afraid.
Feeling guilty, her father approached her carefully and wiped her misty eyes. His dark expression subconsciously softened facing his daughter, coaxing Yani to not cry and making her happy.
"What's wrong?! Did someone actually bully you or something?"
"Tell Father and I'll immediately go and beat them up for you!"
Yani's mother, watching all this, felt speechless.
How stupid!
"Alright, stop talking already!"
"You're loud voice could be heard from outside", her mother said reproachfully, annoyed at her husband's nagging appearance.
Hearing his wife's words, her father guiltily shut up, moving closer to Yani and hugging their daughter together.
Yani embraced her parents tightly, somewhat afraid.
She burrowed her head in their arms, whispering her parents name in her mind.
Hearing their lively interaction with each other, worrying and caring about her; she silently looked at them, she missed them so much!
"It's your 8th... Anniversary."... 8th Death Anniversary'
Yani whispered softly in their embrace, leaving the true meaning of the words she uttered in her thoughts.
Her eyes a mixture of sadness, longing and other complicated emotions that was on the verge of collapse. Barely able to control her surging emotions.
The husband and wife were surprised by the sudden mention of their anniversary, unable to react.
The next moment, warmth surge in their hearts. Their expressions showing how pleased they were as their faces became warmer and brighter looking at their only daughter.
"Oh, you're so sweet! As expected, our daughter is still the best!"
"You're indeed my daughter!"
Her father nodded in agreement, happy that his beloved daughter remembered this important occasion.
The end result was that Yani had to endure their kisses and hugs for a long time before she was finally let go. If this happened in the past, Yani would've ran away in an instant.
Surprisingly this time, Yani did not hide from her parents and welcomed their sincerity and love.
"Okay, that's enough. Our daughter must be tired now. Let her rest first."
Yani's mother said after hugging her daughter, noticing the tired look on her face.
"Just rest, Yani. We'll wake you up when dinner is ready.", her worried father agreed hurriedly, seeing her complexion.
Hearing that, Yani reluctantly let go and went to her room.

Inside the bathroom,
A girl can be seen standing before the mirror with only her undergarments left. She flicked her hair to the back of her head, showing her pitch-black eyes deeply staring at her own reflection, studying herself.
The once long black wavy hair was made short due to the injury and traces of wounds and scars from the incident remained on her body.
A glint flash in her eyes, making it darker and gloomy. After a while, her expression returned to normal.
While washing her body, Yani thought back to the girl in ancient clothes when the car accident happened. It wasn't her hallucination, Yani was sure of that.
Her eyes turned habitually, a sign that she was thinking seriously.
If it was really true, then it was worth pondering over.
A girl who looked exactly the same as her and appearing at the time of her accident. Just what could it possibly mean?!
Plus, the memories left in her subconscious. Yani felt that it was the girl's memories.
Having no clue of the identity of the person, Yani could only rationalized blindly.
Yani finish her bath and came out wearing an oversized black shirt.
Lying directly in her old bed, even though she was tired, Yani didn't feel sleepy at all.
After all, there were a lot of the many things that she experienced which required a bit of time digesting.
Without knowing it, it was soon midnight, and Yani was still staring blankly at the white ceiling.
Her blank eyes were glancing at the clock on the wall as it moved, hypnotizing herself until she fell asleep.
Morning came, and Yani was woken up by the sunlight that fell on her face. She stretched her tired body and stood up from the bed as she subconsciously looked up to the clock on the wall.
'It's 7:30 am already', She changed her oversized shirt and a found another spare of her white school uniform, picking up the necessary items for school and leaving the bedroom when she's done.
The once warm living room was unusually quiet; the curtains were pulled shut, making the room gloomy and dim, the sunlight unable to penetrate through the thick curtains.
It was so different from the usual liveliness with her parents at home.By now, they had probably gone to work.
At 8:10 am, a slender and lithe figure unhurriedly ran toward the gates of the Salvation high school carrying a backpack.
