Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Anne

Just when the bus started to drive on the road, the girl finally recovered from her stunned state.

She looked intently on Yani's exposed plump red lips enviously, looking like she wanted to pounce so badly on Yani and snatched away her red lips.

The girl reluctantly found a seat at an empty row on the left, just a few seats beside Yani. Glaring furiously as she sat down and dragging her small luggage.

Ignoring the strange girl's antics, Yani stretched lazily.

Resting and boringly observing each passenger to kill time while she waited for the bus to arrive.

The rain outside continued to pour down, and it was so heavy that she was unable to see the buildings that lined the road.

Inside the bus, however, was so quiet. No one spoke and the atmosphere was strange.

'Every person on this bus sure is weird'

-- including her. Yani mused, giggling in a low voice.

Not long after, the bus stopped once again as soon as it arrived at the outskirts of the city, with the rain flooding the city.

Outside the bus was dark with no one outside. It was two completely different world in contrast to the inside of the bus.

Nevertheless, the bus didn't move; the driver was waiting impatiently as he looked into the distance.

In the gloomy surrounding was a cemetery, the burials cement were stacked together. Words were carved on top of the gate, signifying the name of the cemetery. However, due to the rain, it was vague and unreadable.

Yani leaned her face against the bus window to get a better view.

While the girl in red that was just across the aisle from her kept glaring her way with a vicious look on her face.

Taking out her phone, Yani activated the flashlight setting. She raised her phone and aimed the flashlight at the entrance of the cemetery.

'Patin-ay Cemetery', Yani read as the words finally became clearer.

Suddenly, a blurry shadow flew past shuttling through the obstacles in the cemetery as it hurriedly ran fast approaching the bus from the distance.

'Who would go to a cemetery when it's raining at this time of the night? Weird!'

Based on the shadow's body shape and agility, it was a male.

Whhen the shadow was close enough, Yani pointed the flashlight on him.

Startled by the light coming from the phone, the boy flinched, moving the school bag that was originally on top of his head to cover his face on reflex.

His white blue uniform was still drenched from the rain by all the running that he did.

His face looks so pale, and his body was shivering like a sick person.

He immediately entered the opened backdoor of the bus closer to him. Ignoring the other passengers and Yani, the boy went straight to the last rows.

The boy who seemed to be suffering from illness kept sweating. He placed the bag on his knees as sweat slid down from his forehead, his face getting paler by the minute.

Realizing that someone had been watching him, the boy lowered his head on his knees to hug his bag.

Yani indifferently turned her head, curling up on her seat idly as she lazily leaned her back on the backseat, occasionally glancing at the city covered in rain through the window.

The bus that was driving around the city just a while ago left, leaving the city on it's wake.

There were no people around, and the surroundings were looking deserted and gloomy.

After a long while of the bus driving, Yani could finally see buildings again. The bus had entered the neighboring city.

However, the lights in the buildings outside were off and the place were dark and eeriely strange.

Several minutes later, the bus stopped at one of the biggest mall of the country.

Yani leaned against the glass window to look, narrowing her pitch-black eyes as she observed the mall.

By now, the rain had started to slow down and it was not raining so heavily as an hour ago.

The mall in front was huge with five stories high. It was a grandiose mall.

However, this grand mall at night time was incredibly creepy. Flocks of Crows were flying above in the gray sky and coupled with the huge size of the mall, the dark surrounding's atmosphere was just gloomy.

Yani's eyes became darker as she looked at the suspicious mall.

This was the mall that she and Anne last came to where she remembered herself fainting and also the place responsible for Anne's change.

'I should wait, it's not yet time!'

Yani became serious, holding her chin on her hand as she studied the mall seriously.

As Yani was looking outside, too focused on the grandiose mall, two girls both wearing whites appeared on the bus stop.

One was wearing white student uniform with her hair in a ponytail while the other was wearing a plain white dress, her beautiful long hair cascading on her shoulders and covering her lowered face.

The girl on the left, which was the one wearing a white school uniform was the only one holding a luggage while her other hand was carrying her school bag.

Her reaction when she saw the bus was strange. The girl seeing the school bus step back as if afraid. Her eyes were filled with unwillingness and apprehension looking at the bus.
