"I'M KIND OF WEIRD TOO, BUT I THINK YOU MIGHT BE WEIRDER THAN ME. I'm Gabriel, by the way. Gabriel Herman Waagaard, but since you saved me, I'll let you call me Gabe, which only my family calls me, and my friends would too… if I had friends."
That made me laugh, "You are funny. I don't have friends here either, but that bitch… I mean, principal Eva Beaumont is having the time of her life making my life a nightmare by threatening me with how I manipulated my grades, to make me get into clubs of mixed races. All because she knows it's exactly what I didn't want to do."
"The principal must have good intentions."
I rolled my eyes, "I doubt that. She's an evil woman," but by how Gabe laughed he must have thought I was joking. "Anyway, I'm Amethyst-Emerald Bella Howell. You can call me Amethyst or Bella, you chose."
"Peculiar name, I like it. I'll go with Bella then. So, if this is your 7th year, than you must also be in your last year here like me, hm?" A nod. "Can we be friends then? You seem cool and you saved me. I promise I'll be a good friend to you."
He's cute. I pinched his cheeks softly, "Deal."
"Now that we are friends," he intertwined his arm on my right one and began to guide me around. "And you seem clueless about the social rankings of the school, I'll explain it to you. So, Devon Frey is the most popular demon of our grade, he's aggressive, a bully, low-key hot, and is the youngest brother of the King of Woebegone," Hell. "You know Brandon Park already, also a bully, and the 3rd vampire Prince of Crimson Kingdom."
I clicked my tongue in disgust, "Yes."
"Bryant Reed is the golden boy of the school, firstborn son of the current Crown Prince of the fae in the Moondust Kingdom. Smartest boy in Montanari, model student, hottest and most desired in school, very powerful too. By to me, who watches everyone and everything, he's actually a morally grey guy, who acts as if he was the purest and fairest of them all."
"I agree with the last part. Being complacent with bullying definitely isn't a trait of a fair, pure, and model student. He's definitely a goody-two-shoes jerk," must have mommy or daddy issues to act like that.
Gabe chuckled at my words, "Oh my, I hope no one hears you saying that. But yes, I agree 100% with you. Now, Dante and Khan Winters are the not-so-alike werewolves twins of the school, Dante is seven minutes older and he is definitely who I believe to be the fairest student in here, and he's the head of the Student Council for that. While his brother Khan is a troublemaker going around messing with everyone, not a bully, but still a troublemaker. Although he counters it with his intelligence and high grades, both of them are pretty damn smart. And between us, Khan manages to be ten degrees hotter than his brother."
"I see that you are quite into those boys."
He blushed hard, "Hm, well, I like their fruit, I can't help it," cute. Knowing that he likes males makes me more at ease for befriending him. "Back to I was saying, they are both the twin Princes of the Defiant Kingdom, the youngest on the alpha's pack. While the last male extreme popular in the school is Kaleb, he's a male siren, youngest Prince of Atlantis. Kaleb is quite introverted, but also very handsome, with some coldness and mystery surrounding him, since he isn't one to talk about himself or about trivial things like we are doing now. Also very fair, and isn't a bully either."
"Are all of these popular people Princes? What about the females? Are they all nobles or royals too?" A nod.
"Actually, yes. There are five Queens in the school," than that makes the other six males, the Kings. And also, each of them must represent one of the main races, meaning that Anna definitely isn't one of them. "Zara Vaernes of the Archangels. Sabrina Milano of the Witches. Manuela Ortega of the Satyr Dukedom from the Gallivant Kingdom," yes, satyrs and centaurs lives in the same kingdom, just like lots of different shifters live on the wolves Kingdom. It's a matter of staying together to stay strong. "Nora Wadewitz of the Seers. Lastly, Sofia Halonen of the Fairies."
I couldn't help but giggled, "You really are shamelessly biased towards the Kings of the school, aren't you? Look at how you summarized the girls."
Gabe blushed again, "Oh, come on. They are more interesting. I know you agree with me, Bella," he winked.
"It's not like that matters, though. We can't be with other races. It's against the rules!"
He scoffed, "It's against the rules to marry and have children with someone from another race, Bella. Not dating. Everybody here dates each other, and the Ministry knows. They have stated before that we can date and fuck around a bit, but we cannot, under any circumstances, marry, ran away with, and have children with another race. Kissing and making out while we are in Montanari or when we go to D'Angelo won't hurt anyone. It's not like we are mating with them or anything. The principal even told me once that the Ministers made those rules because they also fucked around when they were our age."
I gasped, "That sounds ridiculous. I still prefer to stay alone though. I don't want to risk helplessly falling for someone I won't have a future with," anyone actually. It would be too dangerous to have children being a fucking tetrahybrid like me. "But you can go around and do whatever you want, since you like males too."
"Hm, that would be true if anyone here wanted me. By the way, just so you don't be surprised if anyone tells you, I'm also a noble in Woebegone," oh? "Yeah. I'm the son of Grand Duke Waagaard, and Devon's 3rd degree cousin."
"That makes you a Prince, Gabe!"
The boy blushed again, "Yes. It does. But no one pays attention to me, since Devon's constantly bullies the shit out of me. It's okay though, I have my brains and I'm smarter than him, that's why he hates me."
Sigh, "As Beaumont cornered me and are making it impossible for me to keep laying low as I wanted, I won't need to hide my intelligence, strength, or abilities anymore. So, I'll do my best to protect you, okay? I may not look like it, but I'm pretty damn strong," the strongest in the entire school probably.
He turned to me and held my hands, "Are you serious?" I gave him a confident nod. "Ministers above, you met me in the right moment." Sigh. "I was called into Eva Beaumont's office some hours ago, and she told me I'll have to get into the debate club and stop cowering myself from my cousin, or she won't allow me to leave the school, neither to get into Creative Literature School in D'Angelo next year. Meaning that my cousin will stay on my toes for showing that I'm a lot smarter than he is."
My eyes widened, "For fuck's sake," I yelled catching the attention of the people around for a second. "Oh my… that bitch did the same to me. She's also making me get into the debate club. But it's worse for me. I'll have to get into more three different mixed races clubs, and get the top grades in all of my subjects the entire year, or she won't let me leave Montanari and get into Gastronomy School in D'Angelo."
Gabriel covered his mouth in shock, "No shit?"
"Hell yeah. One hundred percent!"
