Chapter 6 - ۞ Five ۞

"WHAT'S GOTTEN INTO HER ALL OF A SUDDEN? And what did you mean by saying that you manipulated all of your grades before?" Oh.

I avoided his eyes, "Since I came here and began being bullied, I manipulated my scores so I would only get a perfect 6 in everything. That way I wouldn't have red marks, and wouldn't catch their attention by showing how much I actually know about everything they have been teaching us," and she probably knew I could have scored the highest in everything. That sly ancient fae. "I've been doing that for the last 6 years and it worked just fine. At least, that was what I thought. It seems like my actions caught the attention of the teachers and of the principal, backfiring on me."

"You have to be a genius to do that. You need to at least know 90% of the correct answers of each test, since all of our tests each have 150 questions and it's pretty damn hard to get 60% of the questions right without getting a decimal number. Meaning that you would always have to get 90 out of 150 questions right. Never less, never more. Always 90. That's some prodigy shit you have been doing for six years, Bella," he seemed dumbfounded. "Not to mention that all of our questions are of truth and false," Gabe chuckled. "It's something that either you know or you don't."

Rolling my shoulders, I gulped, "Well I didn't think that deeply about it. I only did it, and as no one said anything suspicious about it, I kept doing it."

"So, which groups are you going to apply for? I'm only in mixed-races groups, maybe we could get into some together?" That's sounds reassuring. It'll be good to have someone I know with me.

A nod. "I'm in a all-vamps Book Club, and a all-vamps Poetry Club, but I'll leave the poetry club since it's getting boring to me. When trying to bargain with the principal, I told her that I would get into a mixed-race one, so I can't go back now. Meaning we'll be able to be in four groups plus the debate one."

"I'm already in a Flying Club for demons, archangels, and fairies, but since you don't have wings," I do, but he can't know about it, "it's a no for you. I'm also in a Book Club, but it's a mixed one, you could leave the all-vamps and come to mine."

"Okay."

He seemed happy, "Now I'll tell you the ones I was thinking of, and you see if you like any of them," when I nodded, he turned to the stands spread all around the floor, pointing to the ones he liked. "Musical, Swimming, Running-Aware, Cultural Gastronomy, Dancing, Sparing, Martial Arts, Sculpting, Gardening, Cultural Arts, Architecture, Med, Engineering, Event Organization, and Design Club."

I arched my eyebrows, "You interested in all of these?"

Gabe bit his bottom lip, "Well, I have a crush in a male from each of these, so yes," that made burst out laughing. "Oh, come on."

"Musical Club, since I play piano, bamboo flute, and violin. Cultural Gastronomy, for obvious reasons, and I'm upset I didn't knew about this one yet. Martial Arts Club, because I like to fight as long as I'm able to attack the person too. And lastly," I bit my lips, looking around. "Is the Sparing Club to those who enjoy swordsmanship and other weapons such as daggers, spears, archery and all?" A nod. "Then I want that one, I'm good with the sword, with twin daggers, with the axe, and with archery."

"With an axe? Wow, that's very barbaric."

"And is it weird if I also feel like applying to the Gardening Club? Is it only about flower or about anything we can plant? Such as fruits, trees and stuff?"

He tilted his head to the side, "They do all of that. As well as make poisons from certain plants. Never take the Club name so seriously, you can be surprised. And that's okay, it's good that you are getting excited about that. I'll get into all of your clubs, except for gardening. I'll take Sculpting instead, since I like my crush from this club more than the one that is in the Gardening Clubs."

"Okay. Shall we go?"

Nodding, he took me to the stand of the Musical Club first and there was an extremely handsome guy sitting in the middle, probably the president of the Club. But he seemed shocked when he looked at me. "Who are you? And why are you covered in cow's blood?" He must have quite the sensible sense of smell.

"I'm a 12th grader from the Vampire House. My name is Amethyst, and an accident happen, that's why I'm like this. Does it interferes in me applying for the club?"

He arched his eyebrows and turned to Gabe, "What happened, Gabriel? Is this girl new?" Oh, he seems to know him.

When I looked at my friend, he was red like a tomato, "You see Kaleb, she was being bullied by Brandon and his girlfriend. And no, this is her 7th year here, but it seems like she never interacted with any students that weren't vampires. But Beaumont is making her change that."

Oh, so he's one of the King of the school? He's indeed quite handsome. Make sense for him to be here, since he's a Siren. "Okay, kid who I've never seen here, I'm Kaleb, and the president of the Musical Club. Tell me your full name."

He speaks like this, but don't feel any rudeness from him, "Amethyst-Emerald Bella Howell. I'll turn 18 in a month, and I can sing, play piano, violin, and a bamboo flute."

"You will turn 18 next month, Bella?" Gabe asked surprised.

"Yes." I turned my attention to Kaleb again. "So, what else?"

"Vampire, right?" A nod. "Okay." Them he wrote something down on a paper, "You are in. Are you coming too, Gabriel? You seem to be friends with the vampire girl." Can't he say my damn name?

"We just became friends. She saved me form Devon's gang and stopped them from bullying me. She beat their asses," when he said that I gave him a deadly gaze. "What? Was I supposed to keep it a secret? I'm sorry."

The Siren Prince arched his eyebrows while staring at me, making me uncomfortable, "You beat Devon's boys asses? They will probably come to get you later, you shouldn't be meddling others problems if you also suffers bullying."

I scoffed, "And it is for that exact reason that I stopped them. I'm not a complacent jerk who only watches others being bullied. If you know who Gabe is, just write his name in the paper too." Without saying anything else, I stormed out of there, going to the stand of the Culture Gastronomy Club, annoyed.

"Oh my, you are bold," Gabe giggled.
