A pink garden.
Beautiful flowers that were not just a plain pink, they were explosions of various shades of the color, from darker pink to suede and from baby pink to hot pink, all of them mixing together to create a masterpiece.
Their enchanting petals shaking lightly with the soft breeze, wafting it's soothing fragrance as it mixed with that emanating from the steaming tea cup. The scent of the flowers clashing with that of chamomile tea over the table consisting of a tea set and a small tray of pink macaroons royally set at the center of the garden.
While the flowers circling the garden were of higher heights, the table space was floored with dwarf sized pink grasses.
And like out of a fantasy book, the highlight of the show, a male, relaxed cross legged on his flexible wooden bed-chair he laid on that rocked slightly, his face hidden by the large magazine on world ranking restaurants and their unique menu's.
The soft breeze shuffled through pages, allowing the strands of styled brown hair lightened by the sun rays to peek from behind it, and eyebrows, the only visible part of the face furrowed in concentration as he acknowledged the presence of the shadow that casted over him by a question.
"How is she?"
"She hasn't stepped out of the rooftop apartment since the night the boy took her back passed out...
....although he keeps making trips to the local pharmacy and the BBQ joint" the bodyguard paused
"From my enquiry, she's been out with a cold for days now"
"I'm sorry I couldn't find out much Sir, you said to respect her privacy so I watched from a distance" he concluded his report with an apology and a bow.
The bodyguard stood still awaiting orders unlike the increasing breeze that kept on shuffling the pages of the magazine, causing the reader to give up on reading with a sigh as he sat up, the bed-chair adjusting to his new posture like a chair, and dropping the magazine on the table.
"You can go, keep an eye on the boy and secretly deliver some cold prescriptions to the rooftop" ShenYi ordered, running his hand through his hair and taking a long sip from the cup, staring in the distance as the bodyguard left.
"You can stop trying to be discreet already ShenYan" ShenYi tilted his head to the side, as a figure emerged from the tall flowers, smug grin adorning his face.
"How'd you know I was there?" ShenYan approached
"I could feel your stare" was the curt answer
"You're having a tea party" the younger already occupying the vacant seat pointed out "mind if I join?"
"I told you" ShenYi set the cup down "I don't want you around my garden".
"When have I ever listened to you" ShenYan bit into a macaroon, daring smile not leaving his face.
"Besides, I like painting the view"
"If you call those childish doodles paintings then I'm a renowned artist" ShenYi sassed, rolling up the sleeves of his baby pink dress shirt.
"I ordered the gardeners to get rid of everything that is or is about to be a butterfly from my garden since you always come here for them, and with all of them gone, you still manage to crawl your way here to pester me"
"I actually walked" the younger defended "I've been walking since I was one, you didn't notice, because you couldn't get you eyes off the mirror, and your head has been stuck so far up your ass since you hit puberty"
ShenYi raised an eyebrow, allowing the younger to continue his rant.
"What? You're not scolding me for cursing?" ShenYan paused in surprise, again not getting a response, he sighed knowingly.
"You're worried about her" he stated, staring at his brother for minutes as he took slow sips from his cooling tea.
The younger finally let his gaze wander in the pink scenery, his eyes squinting in a smile.
"Looks like you couldn't get rid of all the butterflies"
And ShenYi's head snapped up at those words, gaping at the sight of the pink insect hovering around them.
It's large, pink wings, accentuated by barely visible swirls fluttered majestically as it perched on the grass below them.
"Isn't it wonderful?" The younger whispered.
"Nature, life"
"One thing with life, no matter how long you fight against it, even in the harshest conditions and darkest times....."
His gaze moved around the garden
"....it always finds a way to strive, survive, adapt"
He nods in direction of the butterfly
"Just like this pink guy here"
"Looks like a girl to me" the older finally spoke up causing the younger to chuckle.
"I remember you strictly ordering the gardeners to hunt out all butterflies here" his amused gaze studied the insect.
"And this guy adapted.."
"It's a girl!" He got cut off again
"No way you could spot him..."
"Her!" ShenYi corrected.
".... In your pink maze" the dark haired younger concluded, standing up and grabbing a handful of macaroons from the tray.
"She'll be fine, you don't even know her and you're already worrying this much" he teased, giving his brother a reassuring pat on the shoulder as he walked off, his movement causing the butterfly on the grass to leave it's spot, hovering above the table for a while under ShenYi's intense gaze before landing on it.
Cautiously leaning closer till his nose almost brushed the butterfly, the billionaire's inspecting gaze screamed interest as he whispered
"You pink princess, I'll spare you only because you've managed to pique my interest.....
....just like that woman has, hopefully, she'll wake up soon"
