Luna's POV

Pain.

Hot, pounding pain.

In a more literal description, it wouldn't be an overstatement to say I felt the 'repetitive and rhythmic beat of a sledge hammer, pounding on my skull that threatened to split open from each searing impact'.

I groaned, rolling to my side as I heard hurried shuffles in the room and a surprised squeak of 'Luna!'.

"Who's trying to murder me..." I gasped as the headache intensified, my sweaty palm finding it's way to my scorching forehead that I was sure could roast a marshmallow.

"Yourself" a voice quipped in my ear, causing me to flinch, my hand instinctively flaying before coming in harsh contact with a clothed body, accompanied by a yelp of pain.

"Oww!! Luna!!?"

Pushing back the pain and enticing urge to fall back asleep, I struggled to peel my eyes open, a set of slitted, dark eyes starring into mine, Jun worriedly hovering over me.

"Personal space Jun, you look like you're about to take advantage of me" I managed to whisper through chapped lips, causing him to recoil like an injured cat with a scrunched face as he pinched his nose.

"Eww Luna, your breath stinks"

I gestured for him to come closer, smacking him on the arm the moment he did as I rasped my offense out.

"Is that how you say Good morning?"

"It's 2pm" he was quick to defend, massaging his arm, and I raised an eyebrow in question.

"So I slept in for almost a day? That's a first" Jun shook his head in correction.

"You don't get it, you didn't just sleep in for a day, you've been passed out for three days, and you stink, what were you thinking walking around in the rain, luckily, your fever calmed down or you would still be unconscious".

It took me a moment of silence to take it all in before speaking up with my hand on my forehead.

"You call this calming down? Why does my head feel like a heat pad?" I forced a grimace "Also, look at you trying to act all grown up, I definitely raised you well"

"I'm serious Luna, you could have been worse, only God knows what could have happened if Mrs. Wong hadn't called the landlady to inform me and if I hadn't found you earlier" he scolded as memories came back to me and my face squeezed in a frown causing the headache to make it's dramatic, painful entrance as I braced myself with a sigh of pain.

"I almost forgot, I am currently jobless"

"Go brush your teeth, and if possible take a bath" Jun was quick to change the topic as he gently pulled me off the deflated mattress, leading me to the tiny bathroom's door.

"I thought they cut off our water and electricity supply?" I quizzed seeing the lighted bulb in the room

"Someone cleared the debt" he kept a straight face

"Must be Mrs. Wong" I murmured " she probably feels bad for firing me, although I understand why she did".

"Stop thinking out loud and get rid of that stench Luna!" Jun complains.

"Brat!!" I replied right before shutting the door on his face.

Third Person's POV

.

.

"That brat!!!!"

"He what!!?" ShenYi's questioning yell resounded through the office, his brother taking his glassed eyes off the laptop on his desk and starring at the brunette in surprise with his Secretary having the same reaction.

The reason for both shocked stares, the Shen's  eldest son, Shen Yi never lost his composure and yet here he was, yelling over what his personal bodyguard reported as he continuously shuffled in his suddenly uncomfortable seat, loosening his tie in the process.

"He pointed me out, came downstairs, looked me in the eyes, threw the supplies I dropped in the trash and he left you a message". The guard explained.

"What message?" The billionaire yells, again distracting his younger brother who finally spoke up.

"Shen Yi, do I have to remind you that this is my office building, and your immature squeaks are doing me no good but distracting my work?"

"Shut up Shen Yue!!" And the younger looked offended as he glared at his not so quiet and un resolving  brother while the bodyguard gave a full report.

"I know who you are, I've seen you on the news guarding that pervert, tell your boss to stay away from my sister, he's caused her enough troubles.....

.....and, we'll consider the electricity, water and rent bills as a compensation for his trouble....

....his services are no longer required, we can take care of ourselves....

....and just so you know, you're not good at staying hidden" the tense bodyguard narrated, adding a short statement at the end.

"His words, not mine, and I think the last one was meant for me"

"That flipping teenager is really beginning to piss me off, how dare him!!!?" ShenYi grumbled, finally ripping off his tie as he raged, turning to face the bodyguard.

"Continue watching them, be more discreet, and keep an extra eye on that Jun kid!!"

"You're not going anywhere!" Luna pauses for a moment, raising an eyebrow at the 17 years old standing at the door and glaring at her before resuming her task on tying her shoelace and getting up to ransack the bedside drawer with a question.

"Why?"

"You need to rest and recover!" Came Jun's frustrated response.

"I'm fine.."

"No you're not!!"

"...yes I am!" She retorts, looking into the only handbag when she did not find what she wanted.

"I need to find a new job, you've almost spent all the money Mrs. Wong sent as my compensation and my severance pay from the convenience store on drugs and you can't keep on taking food from her, I won't be a food digger, I refuse to".

She turns, facing the younger as she held up two cards in her hand.

"Besides, I have to return these to the Shen's first son"

"That creep!!?" Jun exploded, glaring at the name on the cards.

"How about going ahead to empty his account"

"Ming Jun!!!" Luna scolds "no matter how bad life gets, never let it push you to do something immoral!!"

"He deserves it for all the trouble he caused you, you lost three part time jobs in one day, I know how hard it was for you to get those!!"

"That was an accident Jun, I'm done arguing"

She slides the cards into her hood pockets, shoving past the teenager.

"I'll be back early" she shouts as she went down the emergency staircase, walking through the slumps to the more developed part of the city, her pink hood hiding her pale face.
