Chapter 7 - Bride

"Young Master."

"What?" He asked curtly.

"Young Master is madam." Hearing him say, Justin, he had a frown on his face.

"And what about her?"

"Young Master, we have to head home at this moment, we have to leave immediately, she's been calling. If we're not there, you know-"

"Let's go," Justin cut him and without waiting for him, he walked out of the toilet. Once he entered the room, he gave a glimpse of Mira seeing her sleep peacefully.

Justin came out of the room to see Maddie, she turned to him, scrutinizing his appearance to see if there was something that was on him.

"Your sister is asleep, I have to head home now," he spoke curtly. He got on the stairs when he remembered something and he turned to Maddie to remind her.

"It seems she has to change her cloth maybe you could change them for her."

"Okay, bye," Maddie gestured giving him a sweet smile though she was raging, he didn't even give her a goodbye kiss or a hug, he turned back just to remind her that, she wonder what happened to her boyfriend.

Did that low life cast a spell on him for his reaction to change all of a sudden?

Even towards her?

He's famous for one thing in school, the infamous but also golden boy of the school, she managed to capture him but their relationship as an affectionate couple was something she forced and not what he wanted. But here he's so concerned about that ugly duckling.

She entered the room angrily to see her sleeping peacefully like it was her room.

She stomped to the bathroom to get a bucket of water and splashed it whole on her forgetting her bed would get wet.

"You stupid witch!!! Wouldn't you get out of my room? Don't you have room to sleep in?" She spouted aggressively.

Mira stood up completely wet, she adjusted herself walking to her room though her mind was in a race to believe, what just happened to her and Justin.

He did recognize her and not just that, his action towards her was unimaginable, a smile crept on her face remembering the event.

Just when she was about to enter her room, she heard her stepmother scream from behind, she knew that she was the one her stepmother was heading for.

Her hand on the knob of the door waited for what she'd predicted and just exactly, her mother gave her a tight slap as her father stood behind to watch her do her action.

"I wonder what kind of behavior you're trying to impersonate, I'm on the verge of losing it!!!" She spoke angrily blaming the party event on her just to cover up her daughter.

Mira didn't say a word and just listened to all the insults she said not until,

"I'm sure your mother would be disappointed with you."

Mira turned to her giving a cold glare and then she spoke harshly.

"Gema, I don't deny the fact that the party was organized without your knowledge. I accept what you're accusing me of, but," she pointed her finger at her as a warning.

"It doesn't give you the right to say anything about my mother," she said sternly and then entered the room slamming it, she laid on the wall as she slowly sat on the floor hugging her legs crying her eyes out.

"Joe, did you hear that? I've tried my best to be a good mother but I don't understand. Where have I gone wrong for her to speak to me in that tone? She even used my name. Joe, I'm stressed out!!!," She burst into tears holding her knees, her performance was going well as Joe came forward to hug her and pat her back.

"Don't worry, give her some time, she would adjust to you. She's just paranoid," Joe spoke in comfort as he looked at Mira's door.

Justin stared at the city from his window, his mind wandering, examining the activity that had happened.

This was the first time he would be late for the ritual, the first time they were preparing for something important this month, he ended up coming late, just because of her, Mira.

Leaving everything just to save her, he was shocked by his action, it was unbelievable but why did he do so?

What was it for him?

"Master, Madam is calling," Jude shook him from his thoughts as he collected the phone Justin stretched towards him.

He took a deep breath answering the phone call.

"Justin, you're late for the ritual. Tell Jude to speed up the car, you have to be here," he could hear the voices of the elders of vampires from the background.

"I'll be there, mother. Just give us a few minutes." He said curtly as he ended the call.

Within a few minutes, they arrived at the house parked at the front of the entrance of the house as Jude and Justin came out of the car already in transformation, their fangs revealing along their eyes that gave a bright glow.

Justin pocketed his hands as he walked majestically up the stairs, the door of the house opened as he entered the house.

The color of the house was lit with red though fading away little by little, the ritual was almost out of time.

"Sir, he's here," Justin's mother spoke noticing his presence.

His mother had a glimpse of his appearance, blue eyes, bridged nose, plump lip, v-shaped face, and long curly hair, she was about tall as Justin, three cm shorter.

His mother held his hand as she led him to the circle created after he removed his shirt, the elderly vampires gathered around the circle along with his mother as they began to chant words.

The full moon shone in their direction where Justin was seated. He began to feel a bit dizzy though he felt that his energy was taken and given.

As they chanted, the circle lit in flames. Seeing the reaction, their chant increased so the image of Justin's bride could appear.

Instead of seeing the image of a woman, a child was shown, a newborn baby, it's been months since they've been practicing the ritual and yet there was no answer to their calling but now, for the first time, a newborn baby was shown.
