Chapter 9 - Thank you gift

The woman was seen in a dark area except she wasn't in a forest. She could hear people call her ill names, and with insults, they threw stones at her.

"Please, please, spare me," she begged with each stone that was violently thrown at her, for a few minutes, the throwing was reducing till she felt nothing thrown at her.

The hands she used to shield her face slowly came down and then she saw herself in front of a mirror.

She could see why people gave her insults and called her ill names, she felt despair, anger, and resentment staring at her appearance.

Why did she look like that?

Frustrated about the situation, she felt someone reach for her hand which was placed on the table in front of the mirror from behind.

When the person touched her hand, she felt the person gently squeeze her palm and then the person whispered.

"You're beautiful after all you don't need to deny the beauty you have with just your looks."

It was a male voice that whispered in her ear, giving her goosebumps in a good way she gently pushed herself to the side timidly, she felt an electric vibe in her body, and his words were comforting yet seducing.

She chuckled trying to calm her heated body and then she turned to look at the mirror, she could see the guy's face but then, her face, was covered with vapor.

She reached to clean the mirror.

"Why is my face," she muttered cleaning the vapor that cover her face and then she saw piercing red eyes.

Mira yelped waking up from her dream, once again with her dreams that didn't allow her to have a normal life, sleeping.

Though this time, it was different, from all the dreams she had before, she was in fear for her life but now, she was called beautiful.

She was adored this time.

The sunray its light into the room through the window where the curtain wasn't used to cover it.

She looked at the window realizing that it was morning.

She went to the bathroom took a bath and brushed her teeth, as she brushed her teeth, she remembered Justin.

She couldn't thank him for saving her, she couldn't help but giggle remembering the attention she received from the infamous guy, it was even more than she thought.

She blushed to remember what he did to her.

She got to the room, and her mind wandered about what she was going to give him as a thank-you gift.

Though she couldn't think of one because she didn't have much but maybe something special that was hers will work.

Maybe one of her novels.

She searched her wardrobe and took one of her novels, she happily wrapped it in a present for him, her joy couldn't stop with a smile plastered on her face.

It was 7 am and luckily, neither Maddie nor her parents were awake, she took her breakfast and wrote a note which she stuck on the fridge asking her father to give her an allowance.

Her chance was fifty percent chance, she'll probably get the allowance or starve if her mother gets to see the sticky note first.

She was about to take the bus as transportation but then she wasn't able to pay since she realized that her phone wasn't with her.

She sighed frustratedly, she hasn't thought about her phone since the incident. She searched her bag once again but it wasn't there.

She frowned, where could her phone be?

She began to trek to school, getting there all sweaty from jogging.

She chased her breath as she bent trying to stable her breath when she got to the school's gate.

As she entered the school, she could hear murmurs and gossip against her. Most of the students that gossiped had their phones with them to get a good look and then they would either make shocked faces or plaster disgust on their faces.

"I can't believe that she's the one!!"

"Oh my, I wonder what her motive is."

"Is she a spell charmer or what, she got him in her trap that he gives her attention because her secret was exposed?"

"Attention seeker!!"

Mira guessed they were probably gossiping about her because of the party.

She got to class, and as she sat on her seat, two girls came to approach her.

"And look at this snatcher," one of the girls said aggressively as she hissed.

"What are you talking about?" Mira asked confused.

The girl was about to reply when she heard her name violently called.

"Mira! Mira!!" She turned to check the window that revealed the hallway just to see it was both Belina and Prudence with angry faces.

"You bastard," Belina cursed grabbing her by the hair and then she threw her to the floor.

She groaned in pain hitting the ground.

Prudence came forward to give her a slap when her hand was grabbed by someone, everyone in the class gasped in shock, seeing that Justin held her arm.

"Is early this morning but here you are beating a junior, you should be ashamed." His deep voice condemned her as she stood up from Mira but she looked at him with a surprised expression.

"Justin, what's wrong with you?" Belina uttered as Justin turned to her giving him a lethal glare.

"What did you just say?" He asked fiercely with deadshot eyes.

Belina gulped in reaction but she had to do it for her friend.

"You haven't bothered to check on Maddie."

"What happened to her?"

"You haven't watched the video?" Prudence asked as he turned to her in wonder.

"What video?"

Among the crowd that gathered, one of the two girls that were about to attack Mira came and stretched her phone for him to watch.

In the video, it was shot from the party in Maddie's room, Justin and Mira were shot from the backside of Justin, he held her on her shoulder and then he moved closer, the shot made it look as though they were having an affair as Justin moved towards her and then it was clipped as though Justin kissed her.

"Oh no," Mira spoke in jaw-dropper.

Who took that video?
