Mira couldn't concentrate in class, her finger played with the instrument she was given as she was in thought.
Without realizing that the teacher was calling her, she jerked back to reality when she felt her neighbor touch her.
The whole class giggled in reaction to how she behaved.
"Miss Mira, where were your thoughts in class," the teacher asked.
"Uhmm,"
"What did I say last?" The teacher cut her.
Standing up, she was worried about what she thought but then with the way she could feel the piercing gaze on her from the teacher.
How was she going to know a thing when she wasn't listening to a thing?
"I'm sorry sir, but I didn't hear a word," she confessed but the class giggled.
Even if she was not top-notch in class, she was super attentive in class and was good at replying to the questions.
"Stop class," the teacher said sternly, and then the class stopped.
He turned to Mira who was already rubbing her palms, nervously.
"Miss Mira, I'm sure you're thinking about the current situation. Don't let your exposed secret get to your head. You're still young and there is no need to worry about what people think about you. Just be you. The good girl."
The whole class stayed silent but in their heads, there were insulting comments about her.
"Don't think that we teachers are not updated, is better to concentrate more on your studies than creating drama. Your grades are beginning to level up, you can't give it up, okay?"
Mira forced a smile as she nodded.
"Okay sir," she spoke before sitting.
*******
In Justin's class, he was sleeping during a class subject since he felt the subject was so easy, and hearing something he already knew made him bored.
The teacher didn't bother to speak about his behavior, after all, he surprisingly still got a high score.
His seat was at the window side at the back of the class.
Placing his head on the table, he felt something hit him hard on his shoulder.
He raised his head to see, shockingly it was paper. He turned to the window to see who threw it at him.
For sure it was not going to be an individual in the class, they couldn't deal with him and Matthew wasn't in his class.
Checking the window, he saw Maddie gesturing him to read what was written in the paper, he obliged as he read the paper.
He smirked.
Stood up from the seat and walked towards the teacher taking an excuse.
At first, the teacher was not willing to let him use the toilet as he requested, since the teacher knew that there was no way he was coming back to his class.
But seeing how desperate he made his reaction, he let him go.
Getting outside the school, Maddie held his hand sneakingly moving out.
Just when they were about to sneak out of the building, they met Mira. Maddie paused in fear that she was going to blurt it out if anyone asked.
"Where are you going to?" Mira asked fixing her gaze on the hand Maddie was touching before she turned back to her.
Maddie looked at her with a flat expression.
"How is it your business?"
"But is neither break time nor is it closing time. If you two get caught, you're going to be in big trouble." She spoke concerned.
Maddie walked towards her placing her hands on her shoulder as she whispered.
"Do you want to be a snitch? You just got out of trouble recently with the college because of your secret, I don't know if you've been getting with Mum but I think it would be fun if you also get in trouble with her just because you were trying to be a goody two shoes. I recommend you don't make this situation ugly as you can make it become."
Hearing Maddie, she couldn't do a thing but as she turned to Justin, he wasn't saying a thing.
Without wasting time, Maddie took Justin's hand as she walked away with him. Mira moved to her class but her mind was still disturbed about this, she turned around seeing they were bribing the manager of the security team to let them out that they would take the condition it was all on them if caught.
Mira bit her lip concerned, she was so concerned if Justin gets caught then he would be in big trouble.
"Let me go along with you," she spoke as she ran towards them.
Maddie and her boyfriend paused hearing it as she turned to her shocked.
"What?"
"Let me go along, besides I'm sure the principal isn't around at the moment, I could just watch you guys and inform you in case she would be coming."
"No way, you're not going -"
"Let her, if she wants to follow us then let her be." Justin cut Maddie.
Maddie couldn't believe what was happening, what was going on? This was a time together not with a third wheel but he seemed not to care about Maddie's reaction.
Justin couldn't wait anymore so he moved, Mira felt a bit guilty as her legs touched the gate of the school, this was going to be the first time she would be disobeying the school rules.
She knew this was not going to end well.
"So why didn't you take a car instead?" Mira asked cautiously, Maddie turned to her giving her a creased eyebrow.
"Wow, goody two shoes is the one giving the suggestion," her tone was flat full of surprise but it made an alarming signal to Mira that if they were going to be blamed maybe Maddie would pin the blame on her.
"No, no, that's not what I'm saying, at least if we want to come in and out"
"Mira, why are you following us in the first place? If you don't want to come then is fine. Because of a girl who's scared of the school rules are you going to ruin our date?" Maddie spoke sharply.
Somehow, Mira felt good doing it but was also guilty that she was going to bend the school rules and regulations for the first time.
Maddie was right, she would only ruin their date because of her fear.
She had never gotten a bad remarks from the teachers but her situation with the students of the school was worse.
"Okay, I'm sorry for being the party pauper."
"Common let's go, we don't have time to waste," Maddie spoke to Justin rushing out.
They got to the bus stop and as they were about to enter, Mira felt a bit hesitant because of her phone, she couldn't pay but to her surprise, Justin paid the bus fee instead.
"Thank you," she said with no reply.
They took their seats watching the display of affection as Maddie snuggled her body around Justin's arm.
Getting to their destination, they were at an arcade. Mira felt a bit prudent still in their school uniform.
Worried they might get caught, she pushed her way through the crowd to meet the couple that was ahead of her bumping into someone.
She felt something pierce the skin on her arm as the person fell.
She turned to look at the person that fell on the ground, she couldn't see the person's face since the person had a black hoodie on.
She bent to help the person as the person revealed the face, she looked at the person trying to recognize not until she remembered seeing the person's eyes, those red eyes.
They were the same eyes as one of the person in her dream.
She screamed in fear as Justin rushed to her seeing her cover her ears and eyes. She was about to fall when she got caught by Justin.
"Mira, what's going on?"
"That person, that person is going to kill me." She mumbled in fear as Justin turned in the direction of where she was pointing.
"But Mira, what are you talking about, there's no one here."
She opened her eyes to see if it was true, but no one was there.
"Mira, your arm is bleeding," Justin took notice of the arm that was cut deep bleeding profusely.
Mira felt the pain and then she could slowly feel a headache with the tension in her body raising, her breath became unsteady, her sight blurry and she could hear faint echoes.
"Mira?! Mira?!!" She heard Justin calling but her eyes became heavy until she blacked out.
