Chapter 18 - Camping event, foolish boy

She chuckled feeling the heat full tension from their gazes.

"What are you guys on about? Whether or not I use makeup or not, why does it matter to you all so much? I could use it if I want, doesn't make a difference." She said rudely and then she took her luggage walking to the camp.

Though she left the rest stunned with her action, especially Maddie, her eyebrows arched into a frown, what was giving this goody two-pants motivation?

Mira entered the entrance of the campsite, she clenched her chest feeling a bit suffocated and having unsteady breathing, she was about to fall but then, Matthew came in time holding her by the waist.

As a moment of silence few by, they stared into each other's eyes, and then Mira got back on her feet.

"It seems you've lost your balance along with your head." Matthew teased but then Mira didn't give a care to his words as she took the handle of her bag and then continued to walk.

Mira walked to the entrance of the camp but then before entering the main campsite, she walked to the attendance booth, registering her name, and just as she was about to leave, she got unexpected news from the attendance.

"Your partner in the event is going to be Matthew Fred."

She paused and then turned around with a shocked face.

"What?!"

"What?!"

Not just her but then an awed voice came from another, Mira turned around and then she saw it was Matthew.

"Wait a minute," Matthew pushed Mira aside walking to the attendant.

"Check once again, maybe there is a mistake in the slip, maybe, you should check the detail on the computer, is possible for there to be a mistake in the records."

"No, there's no mistake in the record, it's just the same as what I've told you."

Mira turned around giving Matthew a hostile look.

"You're sick," she muttered and then she stomped away. Just as she got a few distances away, Maddie came in asking for hers.

"Hmmm, your partner for the event is going to be... Lionel Victor."

"What about mine? Who am I collaborating with?" Justin asked nonchalantly as Maddie turned to him stunned.

Didn't he care that she was not with him?

"Hmmm, ma'am, please check once again, are you sure that is valid? I'm sure there is an error somewhere, could you check the la-"

"Oh yeah, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, you're collaborating with Justin."

"What?"

"What?" Both Mira and Matthew chorused, eventually Mira had not gone far.

"Justin? How come she gets to collaborate with her boyfriend and I get to collaborate with her?" Matthew stated disgustingly.

"Wait, bring the paper," Mira said coldly as she stretched her hand to take the paper though because the attendant hesitated, she snatched it.

"But it states she is collaborating with that Victor."

"Yes, she is on the note but on the system, it recognizes her collaboration with Justin."

"Seriously?" Matthew stated frustratedly then the attendant turned the monitor for him to see, Mira took a glance at the system though it was strange her eyes behaved somehow just to take a look at the monitor.

She wasn't able to see Maddie's name but then she was able to Justin's name. She placed a hand to shield her eyes feeling affected staring at Justin's name.

"Hey, check if it is right," Mira said hitting Matthew on the arm.

"Are you so blind you can't see what's written on the computer?" He said rudely as he left the place grabbing Mira from her bag as they walked away.

"C'mon, let's leave," Mathew said as Mira struggled to release herself but since he was stronger, she let him do what he wanted, unconsciously, Justin's gaze was fixed on the two as they left getting noticed by Maddie.

"Baby, we should get in the camp so we could unpack, the event will soon be starting," Mendy said entangling her arm around Justin.

Justin didn't say a word as he pressed his lip forming a thin line and then he nodded.

"Let's go," the two walked towards the campsite as their bags got scanned.

For the camping event, they had to scan each bag of the students to ensure that they wouldn't bring any gadgets though cosmetic was not prohibited.

As they scanned, they allowed them to enter, and then, the real yard shone like glory in front of them. Fleshly green grass shone as some event tools were placed on the ground for the campers to come to pick up their tools.

"Take," the two turned to the side as a guy handed them a camp tent bag with the manual instructions.

Justin took and then they walked to the yard to look for where they would stay, as Justin turned to the side, he saw Mira and Matthew were already beginning theirs.

"Maybe we should stay over there," Justin suggested pointing to the place, and then Maddie turns in that direction with a dissatisfied look.

"But-" Maddie was about to disagree but she was cut short seeing Justin walk out, she clenched her jaw.

'I wonder what spell she'd cast on him' Maddie mused inwardly and then she walked towards Justin.

"You're completely not getting the layout." Mira scolded checking the instructions for the tent once more, she'd told Matthew for the umpteenth time but he wouldn't just listen to her.

"Wouldn't you keep your mouth shut? You speak a lot, is not like I'm playing with a doll here."

"You, fool," Mira growled.

"You're such an idiot enough to have a dull face." Matthew returned.

"What did you just call me?" Mira asked rudely as Matthew lifted his head with his lip formed in a thin line and he arched his eyebrow.

"Stupid one," he said looking back at the paper.

"What did you say?"

"I think you aren't deaf, I should repeat myself once again."

"I promise I wouldn't spare you."

"Do not spare me, likewise would I."

"Foolish boy," Mira stated and then she looked at the paper as her face formed into disappointment with a pouty lip.

"Though I wonder how we're going to make this tent," Mira murmured as Matthew chuckled.

"Okay then," the two took a look at the papers as they began to do the tent as written.

Meanwhile, Justin and Maddie were still on how they were going to set the camp. Maddie took a look at the papers squishing her eyes affected by the sunlight.

"It's so sunny," Maddie complained using a bit of the paper to cover her face.

"Could you read the other part?" Justin asked as Maddie opened to read, Justin turned to the side to see what Mira and Matthew were doing.

Just as his eyes saw what happened, he couldn't explain what had come over him as he used his powers to run to get to Mira and then he called her name concerned.

"Mira!!"
