They stared quite staring at the woman who was waiting for an answer.
"C'mon, tell me, what kind of trouble are you speaking of?"
Maddie turned to Mira who pursed her lips to speak but then, before she could, she held Mira's bandaged arm with a plastered smile on her face.
Feeling the pain, she heard a whisper from Maddie.
"Don't speak a word."
Mira rolled her eyes knowing she couldn't hide it anymore, it was high time this bullying and pretend face of hers crumpled.
"Ma'am-"
"Ma'am, we thought rather you take a look at the CCTV camera of the school. I think they are some places that would be interesting to watch."
Mira said with a mischievous smile on her face.
Maddie turned to Mira in shock, why was she so hell-bent on saying the truth?
"What are you trying to prove, Miss Mira?" The principal asked.
"I don't know, I feel as though the whole truth could be seen from the video."
The principal's gaze narrowed towards her as her right eyebrow arched with a frown.
"Hmmm, ma'am, I think she's trying to get something out of this," Maddie said stuttering as Mira turned to her with a scorning smile.
"What are you scared about? You're blabbering and stuttering words like you'll be caught in some mischievous action. Besides, I think is just dull for me to try to get something out of this, I was thinking about watching how I had escaped." She said with a devilish smile.
"What are you talking about, Mira? Why would I speak in that kind of manner? I just suggest you stop this instead, you shouldn't implicate yourself more than you already have, Mira."
"Ma'am, are you going to do so or not?" Having enough of Maddie's words, she turned to look at the principal whose face was still with a frown.
"What are you trying to point out, Mira?"
"Justin went out of the class to use the toilet though he escaped through that, he still asked for permission and, I came out of the school from the toilet also on permission, but then, I wonder how Maddie had gotten permission."
This was a cruel question, though a manipulative way of making the principal curious and suspicious of her.
"I'll ask the security team to send the video." She said as she stepped back into the room.
As the principal had left the scene, Maddie slapped Mira on the face only to be returned with a slap back from Mira.
Maddie raised her head, palm on her cheek as she clenched her jaw with resentment surprise on her face.
"You b*th!!"
"Oh wow, I just slapped you and you've gotten annoyed. I haven't even begun to expose you. You've called me a b*tch, what about you? Are you scared? You're scared she'll find out who was the one who started this."
"I promise I wouldn't spare you!"
"Neither would I, I suggest you have to think of how you're going to explain yourself to two people, will you?"
"Who are you talking about?"
Mira scorned as her eyes were set on the person who was still behind them.
"Do you need an explanation of her devious schemes now? Or maybe you need to see more action." Mira said sternly as she walked into the room leaving the two speechless.
"Justin, listen."
"You don't need to explain, siblings fight sometimes. You slapped her because you had your reasons."
"Are you saying it because you don't want to be rude to me or do you believe her words?"
Justin stared at her with no words said, silence spoke for him as he took steps towards Maddie reaching for her arms, he held them and then placed a kiss on her forehead.
"Go ahead, look after Mira, she needs you at the moment." He responded softly.
"Justin, stop being a doting person, just answer the question."
He heaved a deep breath dropping his head to look at her.
"I'm saying this because I don't want to be rude. If Mira said those words then is about how she feels about you as her sister. You know better besides. Mira, she needs your support at the moment."
He calmly said and then walked out leaving Maddie agitated with anger.
Entering the room, eyes were on with a look of disappointment on the principal's face, probably.
She guests Mira had spilled the beans.
"I know-"
"Why would Mira ask you to assist her at the camping site?" The principal cut her as she looked shocked.
"Wait, what?" She frowned looking in the direction of Mira standing behind her mother, she waved at her with a smokey smile.
"Maddie, it seems your sister loves you so much she asked if you could be the one to regularly change the bandage on her arm at the campsite."
"What?" Maddie gasped.
"I asked the principal what was the use of checking the CCTV camera when I was the one who committed the crime, though I think is better if you could give me daily care, you help me change the bandage every single day at the camp. Is that okay? Or maybe, I think-"
"Yes, that's okay." Maddie gritted her teeth as Mira smiled.
This was just the beginning, she hasn't even had to taste the flavor of her other side.
********
The girls were in the car as their eyes turned to the window taking a look at the site of the camp.
A banner was set at the gate of the camp as different students entered the gate dressed in casual dresses and holding their bags.
Mira sat in the front passenger seat while Maddie was behind scrolling through her phone.
On the sound created by Mira opening the door of the car, she raised her head and then she noticed the campsite, they were in front of.
Mira got down from the car as the boot of the car opened automatically as she took her luggage from the boot.
About to carry the luggage, someone else took it, she raised her head to see who had stretched his or her hand to help her out, it was Justin.
Her mouth pursed about to thank him but then she bit her tongue, silently staring at him.
Just like her, his gaze was also on her as they stared at each other not saying a word not until,
"So you did come." Mira turned around to the back to see a tall figure, Matthew. Dressed in a blue hoodie and pants, his hands were pocketed.
"Are you trying to be sarcastic about the issue?" Mira replied as Matthew smirked and then his sight landed on the bandaged arm.
"What happened to your arm?" He stretched his finger still in his pocket.
"A blessing from heaven had descended on the arm, that's what happened," Mira replied.
"Oh wow, it seems you all of a sudden grown wings, building your attitude you've come here with a decorated face, excited for this camp event you got extra prepared by applying makeup on your face. Don't think it's going to help either your appearance or your mouth." Matthew scorned.
Saying so, the rest turned in the direction to see if it was right, Maddie came out of the car hearing what Matthew said, was it possible though as she looked at her face, she noticed the new look.
The mole on her face wasn't there, and then, Maddie's eyes looked into hers, her eyes were changing.
Did she wear contact lenses?
"Mira, did you really use make-up?" Maddie asked.
"What are you-" she couldn't finish her word as she was shown a picture captured by Matthew on his phone.
"Is so sure that you did make-up," Matthew said
Mira shook her head in denial, she didn't go beyond getting her body creamed.
Then, why was her face changing?
