Chapter 10 - Pity Friends

Torma..

I made it to the kiosk and got in. The tree didn't bother me, perhaps it knew not to mess with me at the moment.

I made it to a table quickly placing the empty bottle on it. A bunch of people stared at me.

I walked to the counter and called for assistance.

'How can we help you miss?' I was addressed by a teenage looking girl.

'Umm_' I stared at her before attempting to make my order. 'Anything strong..the rye was a little expired I think?' I laughed.

She looked at me. 'You don't look of age!' She huffed crossing her arms.

'Yeah..that's coz I just turned eighteen so..' I placed my cash on the counter. '..can I have a drink?'

'Nope!' She shook her head.

'What_' I had begun my complaint when I was interrupted.

'Samuelle?' A voice called from behind. I turned and my eyes met with a familiar face.

'Huh?' I raised my brows trying to remember the face. He looked a little familiar.

'Harrison!' He pointed at himself. My face brightened up.

'Oh..hey!' I wrapped my arms around him, the whiskey acting.

'What are you doing here?' He asked. I sighed.

I stepped away from him. 'Just trying to celebrate my eighteenth birthday!' I turned around letting him take a look at my outfit.

He nodded gesturing for the girl at the counter to give him a drink. 'Clary get her a drink too.. she's with me!'

Clary nodded hesitantly.

'Thanks!' I hugged him excitedly as he led us to his table.

There was a bunch of people there. He smiled at them immediately we showed up.

'Guys this is Samuelle!' He introduced. I waved at them hyped to be meeting people.

'Hey' A few of them waved back. He gestured for me to sit, I did.

The drinks came as soon as I did. I was handed a bottle along with a glass. I looked at the gold liquid. I quickly gulped a large amount of it ignoring the group's warning about the drink.

I coughed immediately I swallowed, my throat felt dry but I liked the feeling. I laughed with them, it was funny.

I took another gulp ignoring their yells. 'This is hot!' I giggled gesturing at my almost empty bottle.

Harrison's friends looked thrilled. 'Who is this chic?' I heard one ask.

'Samuelle!' I flipped my hair noticing the red haired girl who dragged Harrison the other day. She looked at me in shock, her smile was frozen on her face.

Her boyfriend was on her left side.

She held out her hand for me. 'Nice to officially meet you Samuelle, I am Tressa!'

I shook her hand as she turned towards her boyfriend. 'This is my boyfriend, Sean!'

I shook his hand briefly before Harrison handed me another cold drink, this one was blue. It had fumes.

'Let's see how this one goes!' He snickered.

I took a huge sip of the drink and coughed. I could see the blue fumes come out of my mouth. 'This one is cold!' I giggled and they all laughed out loud.

The evening went on with dares, and games. I participated in watching because I didn't know what to do.

Judie, another girl I met said it was the birthday specialty. You didn't get to do anything but laugh.

Harrison left almost immediately the 24th round of dares had begun, they'd clearly run out of dares.

He returned minutes after. 'Guys..my uncle Matt is throwing a birthday party for a friend of his..we should go!'

The rest threw their hands in the air getting up and going to the cars outside.

'Samuelle you should come..it's going to be lots of fun watching them.' He urged. I chugged the last of my nth drink.

'Sure?' I looked him in the eyes. He nodded helping me up.

I followed him to his car that he opened for me to get in.

'His place is like a hotel!' He explained to me.

'You mind getting wet?' He beamed and I creased my brows.

'I didn't pack extra though!' I nodded. He rolled his eyes.

'You'll be going home anyway!' He continued putting the car into reverse. I gulped not really sure if I wanted to go home.

'Yeah!' I said silently watching the trees swoosh past the car as he drove. The ride proceeded in silence, I eventually plugged in my headphones.

I was shocked out of song world by a beep, the car was in front a huge gate. The gate slid open and I plugged out my headphones. Loud music blasted from the house before us.

Harrison smiled at me. 'My uncle isn't who you'll expect to meet!' He explained.

The car dashed in besides a number of cars, I wondered how much more room was there for other cars.

Tressa rushed to us. 'What took you so long?' She dragged us to the pool side. 'It's a pool party!'

My eyes took in her lime cropped bra and lime thong.

Harrison shrugged when my eyes met his, he took off his shirt. My eyes roamed the ridges and gulleys on his body.

Who knew he was muscular when bare..I cleared my throat.

The group that I noticed was there looked at me. 'I am going to get myself a drink!' I announced and they all cheered.

'Get me a pineapple daiquiri! Imelda, another girl yelled to me. I have her a thumb up. I heard a me too and made mental note to get two of those.

I got to the counter where I was excited by the numerous choices.

I picked up the two pineapple daiquiris when a man came to get a drink himself.

'The strawberry daiquiri is better!' He raised it in a toast manner, I took in his appearance. He looked a few years older than me and had a pleasant body.

I could tell because of his chest that I could see through the unbuttoned part of his beach shirt.

'Better tell that to my friends then!' I gestured at the group in the pool.

He raised his brows. 'You are with Harrison?'

'Yep..he invited me!' I awkwardly took a sip out of one of the daiquiris. 'I am Johnathan!'

He looked taken back by my introduction. 'In that case, I am Griffins!' He chuckled. 'You can call me Matt though..'

'OMG you're Harrison's uncle!' I laughed. 'That is what he meant by you are not what I expected to see!'

He laughed too. 'You are not his girlfriend, are you?' He seductively raised his right brow.

I shrugged. 'I don't know!'

He chuckled. 'You are not!' He turned and walked a little before he stopped. 'Uh.. nothing!'

He proceeded and I took the drinks to my 'pity friends'. I hoped not.

I returned to the counter and got myself a strawberry daiquiri as Matt had told me they are better. A turtle sat before slowly walking, I smiled and held it.

'Hello Monsieur Turtle!'
