Torma..
I sat in the passenger seat silently, I remembered the reason Danielle wanted us to move.
Some time away from drama would be of good help in healing.
I hated how she had claimed that I went out often and she had no say in it. We moved from Wearton, my home because she wanted space to Vinerth. Moved from Vineth because she had a new job in Badibore and now here for her sake.
I sighed, this whole time. Clearly coming here was an answer to her problems.
I was the one with no friends, whenever I made some, we moved. And now that I have made friends, I am going to some place called leaves?
'Don't think about it too much_' Levi sighed as he looked over at me.
'Fπck off dad!' I grumbled reaching for the bottle of water in front of me.
He rolled his eyes shaking his head, I hated him and now I hated my life.
My daddy crush on Avian was definitely gone after his tradition parental stunt on me. Giving me no choice wasn't what I expected on my eighteenth birthday.
'Just keep driving!' I turned to the door burying my face on the side of the seat.
I felt the car turning before the sound of murram vibrated through the seat.
I groaned into the seat and sat upright. Levi looked at me, I snapped. 'What is the matter?'
He sighed before boredly speaking. 'Remember you are to pack your bags and come out as soon as possible?'
I rolled my eyes when the car turned into the compound. Danielle was definitely there as was the car. I opened the door immediately the car stopped and watched as she got out of the house rushing and throwing her arms around me.
I didn't hug her back.
She pulled away looking at me in shock and disappointment. 'What are you wearing?'
I turned around for her to see. I did love this outfit, I stumbled a bit during my turn.
She gasped realizing the smell of alcohol. 'Samuelle, are you drunk?'
I rolled my eyes squinting them. 'What else is new?' I walked past her.
She didn't say anything until I was in the house. I couldn't here anything they spoke after that, I went directly to my room and fell onto the bed.
Can't take me if I am asleep.
***
I woke up on my bed with the same outfit from last night. My door was still open as I had left it. My head hurt like..the story of my eighteenth birthday.
I got up and went to the bathroom, taking a long bath. I had to brush my teeth six times because of my breath, my gums were hurting.
I came downstairs already dressed up for my day; I had work and I wanted to go check on Harrison and Tressa, just to know where we stand.
'Good morning!' I greeted Danielle who stood in the kitchen with a mug of coffee. She looked at me warily.
I shrugged off her hesitance to reply, she didn't though.
I grabbed a glass of water and took it. Placing the empty glass in the sink, I noticed the reaped gift wraps in the trash.
I didn't ask. I proceeded to the sitting room and grabbed my jacket.
'Where do you think you are going?' She finally spoke.
I shrugged. 'To work!'
'No, not after your state last night!' Her face folded disgustedly. I proceeded to pick my hiking boots. 'Are you not listening?'
'Yesterday you mentioned how you have no say in my going anywhere. So...' I gestured to the door and opened it.
Outside it, stood Levi preparing to knock. His smile dropped when he saw me. I groaned.
'I guess this means you are ready!' He pocketed attempting to smile.
Danielle joined us. 'How good of you to come by Levi..Samuelle was just about to leave!' She said pointedly.
I rolled. 'Yes..and you're in my way!' I gestured for Levi to move.
'Have you packed?' He asked and I gasped feigning realization.
'Oh no!' I winced. 'I guess I forgot!'
He looked at me seriously this time. I gave him the same look, surprisingly he moved out of my way.
'Be back before dawn!'
I leaped out the door not bothering to look back. I was leaving early so I would get to work early. Or late by a few.
I didn't want to use the car. That way mom would have kept me longer. I could hear muffled complaints from Danielle to Levi.
I walked past Harrison's place but no one was up. Probably hang over.
I was grateful that the tree didn't bother me on my way, I made it to work late by five minutes.
Ms. Debra was back and in control of everything, I got my fair share of work. Nothing more, nothing less.
I was in the process of signing out when I saw Tressa at the counter. She waved at me when she saw me taking off my apron.
I walked to her.
'I didn't know you came by Debra's!' I raised my brow.
She smiled. 'I had to..this place is like a hangover cure!'
I laughed at her insinuation. Storyrealm had good coffee and I'd moved upfront to where it was sold. I was done with shelf cleaning.
'I didn't know you worked here!' She walked from the counter to the door, I followed.
'Well..now you know!' I bit my lip embarrassedly. I didn't have a proper attendance of school because of moving and my collection of school certificates couldn't help me.
I was now fit to work in this book place_
I gasped. Like that librarian therapist!
She is good! Really good. Binding me to her fate, typical witchy villain move.
I hope you can all tell what I wanted to be after school, now that I clearly I'm not. If you guessed right then you know it was veterinarian.
I loved animals, all cute whether scaly, furry or skinny. What made me different from Danielle, was my tolerance for bugs. Dad and I on the other hand, were similar.
Tressa nudged me. 'Hey..any plans for this evening?'
I bit my lip in thought. 'Be back before dawn!'
'Nope I don't!'
'Cool..then you can join us for our picnic!' She gestured for me to follow her to the car. Her car.
