Chapter 26 - First subordinate ...... (3)

After reading the descriptions of bone manipulation skills, I was eager to try it out.

Without giving much thought to it, I chanted bone spear in my mind. The way to activate a skill was to just say its name and allow the mana points it required to get deducted.

Two sharp looking spears enshrowded in the same deathly aura appeared and 50 mana points were deducted. I could control the spears at will. It was not like a arrow that once released would only move in a straight path. I could control the speed as well as the trajectory of the spears.

I could make the best use of these spears. Pretending to miss the target while controlling the trajectory of these spears and hitting enemies when they suspect the least. A leathal weapon that can surprise the enemies can become a determining factor of a battle.

The drawback back of this skill was that I could only control one of the spears and my control of the spear was also somewhat lacking. Controlling the spear felt like learning to ride a bike for the first time, hard to control.

The spear was to my liking but I had to know the lethality of this weapon. Controlling the spear was hard but throwing it in a straight path was no hard job. I wanted the spear to hit the nearby trees.

SWOOOOOSHHH...SWOOOOOSHHH....

Two spears flew out side by side hitting the trees. Dust and debris flew out and only the stump of once a majestic tree was left. I was shocked to see the power displayed by the spears. My plan of using the spear like a hidden weapon suddenly seemed more plausible. Every skill I checked till now is able to pleasantly surprise me.

After checking out bone spears, I proceeded to check other skills under bone manipulation as well.

Bone shield was nothing fancy. A plain shield made out of bone appeared in front of me. It could be used under some situations but ultimately it could not be used like a hidden weapon. The bone shield was not totally disappointing but I could not find a proper use for it for the time being.

Bone armour was somewhat peculiar. The armour that formed through the skill took some time to appear and was a better version of bone shield but no matter how one looked at it, it seems to have been made keeping a humanoid creature in mind. Bone armour was unable to fully wrap around my tree body.

The only skill left to check out was dome of bone. I also wanted to test it out at the moment but the mana points I had was not sufficient to activate the skill. Mana points I painstakingly gathered had already depleted and I could only wait further to use the skill.

DING... DING .... DING

SKELETON RIDER INCUBATED....

I was so immersed in checking out the skills that I had forgotten about the skeleton rider. Only after the notification had sounded, I saw a magnificent skeleton sitting on the skeleton of a hog carrying shield on its one hand and a fear inducing mace at the other.

Skeleton rider was twice as big as the skeleton soldier. It could probably beat the shit out of skeleton soldier on a duel. I didn't have the luxury of making skeleton soldier and skeleton rider fight each other thus this idea had to be postponed.
