Rian slowly opened his eyes due to the persistent shaking from Marx.
"I'm glad you aren't dead, kid," Marx said with a visible sigh of relief.
Rian felt a wave of guilt wash over him. "I'm sorry, Mister Marx," he apologized.
Marx shook his head. "Don't be sorry and just call me Marx," he said as he got up to grab a bowl for Rian. As he handed the bowl to Rian, Marx added, "I think this will help settle your stomach."
Rian looked down at the bowl he was given and couldn't hold back any longer as he devoured the contents within the bowl. Rian's stomach finally settled as he finished devouring the contents of the bowl Marx had given him. As he looked up, he noticed the system.

Rian slowly rose from the ground and handed the empty bowl to Marx.
"Thanks for that Marx" Rian said with a grateful smile.
Marx's expression turned remorseful as he replied, "It's the least I could do for you after all I did almost starve you to death."
"Well I did deserve it," Rian replied.
"No, you didn't, you're just a kid. A kid doesn't deserve to be almost starved to death just because of a mistake, so no, you didn't deserve it," Marx corrected him.
"Well, you helped me learn from that mistake, and I'm grateful," Rian smiled.
"You really know how to get a guy to tear up," Marx said while hiding his face in his hands.

"That knight is probably on the way back now so next time I'm back here I hope you will teach me more," Rian said, eager to learn from Marx.
Marx nodded, wiping away the tears. "I'm glad to hear it. You're a good kid, Rian. Don't forget that."
It didn't take long after Rian had finished his first job of the day for the knight to arrive and take him to his second job. Rian couldn't help but feel a bit nervous about this one, as it was sure to be more difficult than the first. The knight firmly grasped Rian's arms and guided him through the hall, the rope binding his wrists securely. He was on his way to do his second job. At the end of the hall, the knight stopped and pointed to a door. He indicated that this was Rian's second task. Rian's stomach churned as he stepped through the door, not knowing what to expect. As he entered the room, he saw that it was filled with various tools and materials, and his heart sank as he realized that his next job involved forging.
