The trio made their way to a bustling tavern in search of accommodation. As they pushed open the heavy wooden doors, they were immediately enveloped in a fit of laughter and yelling The air was thick with the sounds of clinking glasses, lively conversations, and the melodic tunes played by a skilled bard in the corner.
They navigated through the crowd and they approached the innkeeper behind the counter.
The innkeeper greeted them with a warm smile
Welcome, travelers! Looking for a place to stay?" the innkeeper asked cheerfully.
Sir Tristan nodded. "Yes, we require rooms for a couple of days. Do you have any available?"
The innkeeper nodded again. "Indeed, we do. Let me show you to your rooms."
They followed the innkeeper through the bustling tavern, weaving through the tables and patrons. The innkeeper led them up a narrow staircase to a corridor adorned with flickering candles and old-fashioned paintings. The air was filled with a sense of history and charm.
As they walked along the corridor, the innkeeper explained the various rooms available to them during their stay. He mentioned the cozy common area where guests could relax and mingle, the hearty breakfast served every morning, and the comfortable beds in each room.
Finally, they reached their designated rooms. The innkeeper opened the doors, revealing inviting spaces with comfortable beds, soft lighting Each room had its own private bathroom and a window overlooking the surroundings.
"Here are your rooms," the innkeeper said with a warm smile. "I hope you find them to your liking. If you have any further requests or need assistance during your stay, please don't hesitate to let us know."
Sir Tristan thanked the innkeeper and expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome while he reached into his pocket and handed the innkeeper the payment for their accommodation.
Once they were alone, Rian, Sir Tristan, and Marx took a moment to unwind and discuss their plans. The lively atmosphere of the tavern seeped through the walls, adding an air of excitement to their conversation.
Rian's voice was firm and determined as he spoke, "Tomorrow Night , I am going to infiltrate the castle and ensure that King Gulliver is held accountable for his deeds."
Sir Tristan raised an eyebrow, concern evident on his face. "Rian, we must proceed with caution. Storming the castle is a risky endeavor."
Rian nodded solemnly, his resolve unshaken. "I am well aware of the risks, Sir Tristan. However, I cannot stand by while King Gulliver's actions remain unpunished.
Rian stood up and laid down on his comfortable bed, staring at the ceiling. As he lay on the bed, he closed his eyes and began to focus on his breathing, practicing the deep breaths he had learned during his recovery. He let the worries and doubts drift away, allowing a sense of calm to wash over him.
Rian found himself in the fragment of his imagination.
"Greetings Rian, What do you seek?" The system spoke.
Rian took a deep breath. "I'm here to tell you that imma fulfil my promise and cut off the King's hand.
"I'll be happy to help on your path of Vengeance" The system spoke.
Rian paused for a moment, considering the system's offer.
The system continued "With my aid, you can bring justice to the world."
"I accept your help, I'll be a force to be reckoned with, a vigilante " Rian replied firmly with a smile.
As Rian opened his eyes in the real world, he could feel the warmth of the sunlight on his face. He glanced around the room and saw his two companions, still lost in a peaceful slumber. Rian took a deep breath and got out of bed to head out in the town to find so clothes. Rian stepped out into the bustling streets of the town. His eyes scanning the various storefronts in search of a clothing shop. After a short walk, he spotted a clothing shop.
As he entered the shop, a friendly older woman greeted him with a warm smile. "Welcome, young traveler! How may I assist you today?"
Rian didn't say a word and just pointed at the black trench coat and some black fabric he could use to make some clothes.
The shopkeeper nodded, She retrieved the black trench coat and the required fabric, laying them on the counter before him.
The shopkeeper considered the items and said, For the trench coat and fabric, the total cost would come to ten sliver coins."
Rian reached into his pocket and pulled out the required ten silver coins. He placed them on the counter without hesitation, Once the payment was made, Rian swiftly walked out of the shop and headed back to the tavern satisfied with his purchase.
Back in his room, Rian carefully laid out the black trench coat and fabric on the bed. He carefully picked up the fabric and began examining it. As he held the fabric to his face, mentally measuring the space required to cover his features. His fingers traced along the edges, feeling the texture and weight of the material. Rian carefully folded the fabric in half and positioned it against his face once again. With a steady hand, he picked out a small knife and began cutting out the shape he had envisioned for the mask.
It took a while but the mask was complete, Rian turned his attention to the trench coat. He slipped it on and adjusted the fit to ensure comfort and ease of movement. He glanced over at Marx and Sir Tristan, still resting in their beds, and knew that he couldn't involve them in this dangerous mission. They had their own roles to play, and Rian needed to handle this task on his own.
Rian then walked over to his two companion and put a slumber spell on then to keep them sleep so they won't have time to chase after him. As Rian stood there, watching them sleep soundly, he couldn't help but feel a bit of guilt. However, he knew that their safety and the success of the mission relied on his ability to handle it solo. With his companions safely asleep, Rian turned away and set off on his journey as the sunset.
As Rian approached the imposing castle. The rain poured heavily, making the night even darker, which worked to his advantage. He used his black trench coat to blend into the shadows, minimizing his chances of being spotted. Running through the castle halls, Rian moved swiftly and silently like a ghost, taking advantage of the darkness and his knowledge of the layout. The sound of his footsteps was barely audible. Rian's sharp eyes caught a glimpse of two familiar knights. They were unmistakably the same knights who had once subjected him to a brutal and painful experience. His heart clenched tightly in his chest as he recognized their faces, memories of the past flooding his mind. He knew this was his chance for vengeance.
Rian made his move. He emerged from the shadows and struck with lightning speed. With a swift and precise movement, he unleashed a powerful punch enhanced by his elemental manipulation, sending the knight crashing to the ground and laid there defeated.
Before the other knight could react, Rian moved back into the shadows.
Rian seized the opportunity to strike again. He emerged from the shadows, his hand igniting with a fiery glow. Channeling his elemental powers, he unleashed a fireball at the knight, catching him off guard. The fireball roared through the air and struck the knight, engulfing him in a blaze of searing fire. The second knight let out a cry of pain as the flames consumed him, his armor and clothes burning fiercely. He thrashed and stumbled, trying to extinguish the flames, but it proved futile against Rian's powerful elemental attack. Rian walked over the the knight and took out his metal pipe and enchanted it with lighting and Without hesitation, Rian swung the electrified pipe, striking the knight with a final, decisive blow. The surge of lightning coursed through the knight's body, intensifying his pain and ensuring his defeat. The impact of the strike sent him sprawling to the ground, his body convulsing from the overwhelming shock.
With both knights defeated, Rian took a moment to catch his breath and gather himself. Finally Rian found himself standing outside the grand entrance to the throne room. The guards outside the room were vigilant, but Rian had trained for this moment. Utilizing his knowledge of the castle's layout and using his elemental powers to create distractions, he managed to slip past them undetected. Rian stepped into the throne room. he found himself face-to-face with King Gulliver, who looked both surprised and alarmed to see an intruder.
