Chereads / The Legends of A Kingsman and A Witch / Chapter 8 - Just tell me, according to you, is it right or wrong?

Chapter 8 - Just tell me, according to you, is it right or wrong?

"Nazia, what is your perspective? Your point of view on this matter! Who abhor me or who likes me doesn't matter at the moment, all that I want to know is that the brutal killing of witches for their blood and powers while providing them the image of the supervillain so that they can't earn the trust, help and empathy of the humans is right or wrong?" Suzy asked with a deadly serious gaze, making Nazia take as long as eternity to give her answer.

"It is not right." Nazia finally admitted with a deep sigh.

"So, you think it's not completely wrong." Suzy asked.

" Well, we don't have any other source of rust-free iron which is nine out of the ten times used for making the weapons of war. Now, no one wants to accept defeat and get conquered by some other ruler as a trophy, just because we have the humanity left among us.

You see, we might choose humanity but what about others? What about our neighbouring kingdoms? The moment they found out we are weak, they will wipe our army out and kill our King for the greed of power.

They will wreck our beautiful homeland, turn us into slaves and sell us in their own kingdoms as workers, entertainers and what not. Who would be responsible for that?" Nazia asked back, making Suzy stare at Nazia for good few minutes.

" So you are saying the witches with mystical power can do nothing to protect the kingdom they have been staying in for ages and consider the very place as their homeland, of course till they develop and have to return to The Rule of Light?

You know everyone is supposed to contribute for their kingdom, especially, during the state of war.. me being no exception. Now just imagine your opponent just has weapons, but you have powers that can make you faster than them, fly in the sky, ask nature for help, you can move their big machines and animals with telekinesis.

Who do you think carries the most chances of winning the war in that scenario?" Suzy asked, leaving Nazia dumbfounded, her mouth agape.

"But witches don't interfere in human matters?" Nazia pin-point it.

" Well, that's because we don't have any reason to save the species who hunt us. It would be a stupidity to unleash your powers in front of the species who want you dead at all cost. You see I would be bringing more hostility towards me this way." Suzy gave her point of view.

"But even when humans and witches used to co-exist, even then it was a rule that witches won't interfere in any other species' matters." Nazia explained.

" Well the witches might not be, but is there any rule that states that even the witchlings can't!" Suzy asked and Nazia found herself at a loss of words.

No there wasn't any. She shook her head in denial.

"Nazia, you, yourself said that The Rule of Light is unfavourable towards witchlings and their survival, which means they would need human ground as a prerequisite to survive. Human land is fertile and prosperous because of humans. Without humans it would either be a complete forest or a complete desert, making it unfavourable for the witchlings' survival again.

Now, a witchling needs humans to take care of them, their land to survive, their food and water to grow, then why won't they fight till their last breath to protect that very land, isn't that absurd!

Besides, I understand a witchling takes a century just to grow into a beautiful girl/boy who looks just like a human in her/his sweet sixteen and stays like that for five to six centuries.

But we both know once a witch crossed her first hundred years, she started her journey of development. In those five to six centuries she would gain all the powers one-by-one, till she had nothing left to achieve.

After which, one of The Matrons of The Silvertail Clan would come and take that witchlings test. Only after qualifying that test with flying colours a witchling would develop into a witch. Next she would be given two choices; First to choose a mate and come back to the same place to find The Matron. Two to follow The Matron to the faery land.

However, all the witchlings carry an innate power of summoning the other witchlings of the area, also known as 'war cry' and there is a rule of nature that no two witchlings can possess the same powers, which means if I carry the power of flying then the other might carry telekinesis or hypnotism or teleportation or supersonic speed, or super hearing or super vision or some other power.

Now just imagine even five witchlings with one power each are together after hearing the war cry, won't that change the statistics!" Suzy said leaving Nazia once again speechless.

When did this witchling learn about these things, she had never taught her any of that? Is it innate? Or does it have something to do with the witch's blood in her veins? Nazia wondered.

"So, let's get back to the same question. Is hunting the witches for their blood and power while portraying them as a villain is right or wrong?" Suzy asked making Nazia to stare at Suzy, while imagining the halo of gods around Suzy.

It goes without saying that Suzy has to be the first witchling to come up with such a concept, making her a capable future leader.

"You see, it's either right or wrong. Neither it's not right nor it's not wrong." Suzy added, making Nazia to stare at her further.

"You might have the sense of justice, the sense of right and wrong. But what about others? How can they distinguish between right and wrong? You see, it's not that easy to distinguish between right and wrong for everyone." Nazia shared her dilemma.

" Nice question. However the almighty knew that humans will face this situation, at one or more than one point of life. That's why, he created the brain and heart before creating the humans.

There is a saying , 'You are the living image of your surroundings '. Do you know why it is like that and what it actually means? It means the knowledge, the beliefs you have been taught are processed by your brain. The upbringing, the manners and the etiquettes are reflected by your brain. What you see, what you hear , what you speak, how you speak, it's all the brain's doing.

So if you have seen people helping other people or animals, from a young age, you would love to help people, if you have seen people fighting and insulting each other, you will do the same, if you have seen people being sophisticated and classy you will follow their footsteps.

But all in all, it's your brain doing. Your brain helps you acquire the mix of the personalities you are surrounded with. If you have a pet at home, you wouldn't treat it as an animal but as a family. The same goes with that animal, for it, you are its family.

Now we make ninety percent of our live's decisions with this very same brain. However when it comes to finding the difference between the right and wrong about anything or anyone or any question.

You have to shut this organ out. People think it's difficult, but the meditators and the cultivators think the opposite way. One of the yogi once said, 'if you want to stop the brain, just hold your breath and boom it's stopped'.

Now you have to start from the start to make the brain begin functioning again. Because there are high chances, it might have forgotten what you were doing or thinking about.

So, coming back to your question. It's simple. Close your eyes, take a deep breath and hold it rather than releasing it, preferable for half a minute. Repeat the question. Your focus should be on the sound of beating your heart. Once you are done asking the question, release your breath and let it get back to normal.

Now wait. For some this wait could be as long as years, for some it would take some months, for some it would take some weeks, for some it would take some days, while for some a few hours are enough.

Then comes the category of highly disciplined meditators who will get the answer within a few moments. The moment you got your answer, you would know what to do next, right! Act. Take a quick, immediate, effective course of action.

This method is known as 'the connection with the self'. Because you don't seek someone else to define what's right or wrong. You seek it within yourself. Knowing your power, your potential." Suzy explained making Nazia to nod and follow.

However, she knew she didn't even need this method to know whether the question asked by Suzy for the victims is right or not. As she already has the answer. She has seen the witch being brutally tortured and butchered in front of her eyes, in the middle of the crossroad, when she was just five.
