Chapter 13 - The other side of the terror of Stizza

"Get out of the sight, if you don't want to be killed." Ermaan warned, making Sunak nod and run for his life. Well, he has to inform his king of the disaster this kingsman had done. When there was no one and nothing, Ermaan opened the door and motioned the beast to come out of the gloomy cell, to which the beast happily complied.

Ermaan kept walking forward while guiding the beast way out of the basement, while the beast blindly followed, only to end up at the dead end. It seems like just one time wasn't enough for him to remember the path.

Besides it was Ethan's duty, making him smack his head hard. However the beast seemed enthusiastic, jovial and faithful. No matter how many dead ends they ended up into, no matter how many mazes they encountered, it just remained cheerful, making Ermaan feel like crushing the place to find a way.

When he found himself at another dead end, he felt completely hopeless. Will they ever get out of this place? When he felt like giving up, he found the beast following behind, nudging him gently, he turned around to see the beast offering the seat on its winget back.

Oh right! This thing has wings for a reason. Thus, after trying countless times, he found himself sitting on the back of the beast with wings while ensuring that they weren't hurt.

Soon, the beast left the ground and started flying while growling loudly. At first nothing happened and he thought they might end up hitting another dead end. But when the beast continued flying at full speed while growling, they finally heard the growl.

The growl which was coming from the outside of the palace. The growl which belongs to another beast. The growl which was as desperate as the beast,Ermaan was riding. Ermaan could bet that it was the same beast who was killing the people. He could even bet that King Chandresh might not be very happy and the deal which they had striked might fall in danger. But, he has to do it.

He feels burdened to do this. As if it's his duty to turn every wrong into right, to provide justice to everyone and everything, even if it's a beast, who has been tortured for ages.

~~

Ermaan squealed happily the moment he saw the bright blue sky appearing finally. At least this beast is better than him when it comes to finding places.

The female beast made a grand appearance in front of people of the palace, the King and The Fourteen who felt shocked beyond the wits.

Ermaan jumped from her back and landed safely on the ground on his knees only to witness a scene that for sure would irk the female beast according to him.

The other beast who was busy wreaking havoc till now got captured by the palace guards and the fourteen. They have tied it with a net, the net that is used by them to hunt the predator as a prey.

He watched the alpha team, king, his guards, the captured beast and the just released beast and stared back at his alpha team; " Release it, immediately."

The Alpha Team didn't even spend a breath before doing as they were told, terrifying the King at the site.

"What.. What are you doing? They will hurt us." King shrieked, making Ermaan stare back at him, hard.

"They won't." Ermaan said in an authoritative voice. Making the alpha team to speed up the process.

The moment the beast was freed, it was ready to lunge on the alpha team, however the female beast growled at it, making it growl back at the she-beast.

The growling session began and continued for a long time, while Ermaan put good use of the time by letting the alpha team take all the humans out of the place, vacating the area, leaving only two beasts and Ermaan behind.

~~

After a long time, the beasts finally calmed down only to find an empty place, with just one human around, who was busy removing the grass from the ground and throwing it anywhere to pass the time.

The she beast approached Ermaan making him to leave the grass and stand up, while staring at the duo. The she beast growled loudly and the other beast growled but it was meek, bit submissive in response.

"Oh, so she is the one who calls the shots here." Ermaan couldn't help but pass the comment, earning a strong growl from the beast, who earned another growl from the she-beast and calmed down.

Confirming one of Ethan's suspicions, they understand human words, emotions and language.

[ The best part of this fantasy world is that every human speaks the same language, no matter from which part of the world, from which part of the kingdom they belong to.

Everyone speaks only one language, which would be English as this book is in english. It might have been another language if this book had been in another language. Anyways. So one language for one world.]

Soon, the she-beast growled again and the he-beast came near Ermaan. Ermaan could picturize the beast wanting to spit fire on Ermaan but it couldn't because of the glowering she-beast near it. Soon, it placed its head near Ermaan against its will, making Ermaan stifle a laugh.

After which he became serious, closed his eyes, fell on his knees and placed his hand out, ready to entrust a grumpy beast with his life. The grumpy beast wasn't very happy but when he saw the human putting his life on line just to earn its trust and make friends with it. Its chest puffed with immense pride.

The she-beast didn't even have to force any further as the beast approached Ermaan on its own and let Ermaan touch its head. Ermaan patted its head gently, making it squeal in happiness.

Soon, Ermaan touched the beast's body from head to toe with a deep smile. Well, this was the beginning of friendship between two different, dangerous species. But none of them complained.

Once Ermaan and the beast felt the connection, they smiled. The beast offered Ermaan its back, Making Ermaan laugh in appreciation. He gets on the beast's back and the beast starts to rise, it starts circling the ground at first, then the palace shocking King Chandresh and The Alpha Team.

After which it started flying here and there, making Ermaan forget for a moment that he is a human being, the one who stays in the ground, sticks to the ground. It was a wonderful, precious moment for him.

The ground was looking small, the trees were looking more of a new ground at some point, he could see the river, he could see the land, he could see the trees, he could see the roofs, he could see the heads, he could see the guards, he could see everything but from a different point of view.

The view amazed him, even his horses would take at least a few weeks to reach near those villages from the royal palace. But it took just a few minutes for this beast to fly across them.

They both were enjoying the flying experience when the she-beast growled and Ermaan's ride growled in agreement. Soon, it starts to fly higher, higher and higher. Making Ermaan to wonder what exactly is there for the beast to fly so high. He checked and nope, no human was attacking them. But the moment he realised, he cursed severely.

Damn. That's impossible. Ermaan saw just a glimpse of it which terrified him but the more the closer the beasts went the more it confirmed Ermaan's suspicion.

The place was covered with fog. But the moment the fog disappeared it freaked Ermaan out, the mountains. They were at the bottom of the mountains, making the beast to straighten up completely and fly upward, while breaking the winds.

Weren't the mountains exist in the kingdom of Unexa, the kingdom who is millions of miles away, protected by the mountains and its spirits? It would take humans at least a year and half just to reach its borders and six to eight months for the alpha team on horses. But how come it was just a matter of a couple of hours and he could already see the peak?

He remembers laughing at people who travel in carriages. So, do these flying beasts also laugh at humans for being so slow like snails.

Do the humans look like ants to these beasts?

While Ermaan was busy thinking, a gust of wind came, breaking his concentration. He looked around and realised they were nearing the peak. Soon, the beasts reached the peak and flew across. No! These beasts don't stay here! At the peak!

But even further. The beasts kept flying and Ermaan kept watching, he saw himself surrounded with countless peaks. But what was strange was that even at the slanting land of the mountain the crops had been grown there. He saw a completely different, unique land, where some people were mining, some were growing crops, some people were bringing water, making the she-beast to lower down and hold the water container in its strong iron-claws and carry it to another place and place it there.

The owner of the container shouted a loud thank and walk towards the container as if it was a norm. No one ran or hid when they saw beasts, in fact the people were doing their work.
