"Don't worry, the foundation of this palace is very strong. This beast can't break it."Sunak added after watching the horrified look in Ermaan's face.
Making him wonder just what is so good about Ermaan that King Chandresh actually went to the borders to greet him and even brought him to the palace with himself. Not to mention this foreigner has to be the first who was entering the basement of The Royal Palace. There was nothing but a terrified look in Ermaan's face.
Kingsman didn't comment, he kept following the guard. Soon, they stopped in front of the prison cell, which was the source of all shaking and trembling.
Sunak had long been stopped and was walking as slowest possible to avoid the creature and run for his precious life. However that's where the difference lies, Ermaan was standing near to the cell, waiting for it's door to open.
But when he saw Sunak standing at the farthest, he stared at him.
"Open the door." Ermaan ordered, making Sunak to flinch.
"Hey! What do you mean by open the door? We came here just to see the creature. Look, you can see it from the peepholes." Sunak replied.
"I said, open the bloody damned door." Erman snapped, making Sunak stare at him in bewilderment. However the pressure that Kingsman put on Sunak was too much for him to deny.
"Fine. Just go inside and die. I will lock it the moment you enter. Your life and death has nothing to do with me, anyways." Sunak snapped while opening the door, which earned a deaf-ear as Ermaan was busy staring at the sitting beast inside.
The moment the click sound happened, the loud growl followed, shaking the entire palace, making Ermaan to blink. But he has no intention of giving up. So, the moment the door opened he entered inside the damned cell.
The cell was in such a miserable condition that five or six more attacks and The Royal Palace of Stizza would turn into nothing but a bubble of dust.
But that's not what holds Erman's focus. It was the sitting creature in the cell. It looks exactly like the creature outside, the same fangs, same weird tail, same wings, same eyes. As if Ermaan was watching the same creature from earlier. But it was a little different, in the aspect of being a lion. It didn't have a beard or moustache.
It didn't have hair like the other one. Making Ermaan to speculate that it might be the female animal. Ermaan waited however the creature didn't lunge at him or spew venom at him or did anything to hurt him.
Nothing. It even stopped the loud thumping of its feet on the ground which was creating the shaking and all. It was just sitting in the corner… now lying lazily in the middle of two corners of the cell, staring at him, noticing his each and every move.
" What? Aren't you hungry? Or you don't feel like eating me? Trust me, I don't taste that bad." Ermaan said, trying to strike a conversation with a beast.
But it just stares at Ermaan.
" Who are you? What are you? What do you want? Why are you attacking the innocent?" Ermaan asked again while taking a step further alerting the beast.
"Oh! So you want me to come near you? Is it?" Ermaan asked while taking another step forward. Making the lazily lying beast to raise its head a little. Ermaan took another step. Another. One more.
Finally he heard the beast growl in warning.
"So, this is where your territory begins." Ermaan stated with a smirk.
"Let's see what you are capable of doing, huh!" Ermaan challenged while taking another step forward, making the beast get up. The moment he took another step forward the beast retracted a step back, another.
Confusing Ermaan. Wasn't the beast supposed to attack him? Ermaan took another step forward and it retracted to the corner of the cell. However Ermaan didn't stop and went closest to the beast, yet it didn't attack.
"You are confusing me, Miss." Ermaan said, making the beast to stare at him. Then, Ermaan sighed and studied the creature. In the next moment, he got up, terrifying the beast who stepped back only to hit the wall.
"Relax." Ermaan uttered and then reached the source where the chains were tied and started unlocking them, one by one. He unchained the chains that were tying the beast's mouth, forelimbs, hindlimbs and tail to one strong lock. Then he advanced near the beast in order to remove all those chains away from the beast body, only for the beast to lunge at him with the greatest force.
Ermaan was a bit shocked, but he wasn't completely lost cause. In the next second, his sword was in his hand, his scabbard lying on the ground somewhere, while his eyes were fixed on the beast on top of him.
The claws, the fangs, the venom. Only these three things were roaming around his head, while he was lying on the ground, empowered by a beast.
He had seen the power of these three things of the other beast, to be completely aware of them. He knew he could turn into a shred of flesh, blood and bones within a matter of seconds. That's why his strength on his sword tightened. After all, he heard King Chandresh and had realised that the king hadn't tried to dig this beast's heart out.
What if the heart is the key to this beast's death. He was ready to implant his sword in the beast's body in order to dig this beast's heart out, when the beast got away from him and went to his corner, lying again.
Scaring the almighty Kingsman for a moment and then confused him.
"Dude! What's your problem? You know the people.. Ahem.. the creatures who attack first and then run away from the battlefield are called cowards? At least have some ethics. Fight like a soldier. Kill like a soldier and die like a fuckin soldier.
No cheating." Ermaan shouted in frustration only to earn a low growl from the beast, as if even it was making fun of Ermaan, making him furious.
"Are you mocking me? Do you believe I can chop you into countless pieces that your regenerating ass will have to take an entire era to grow back into the right piece at the right place.
Don't laugh." Ermaan sprouted in anger, only to earn a weird sound from the beast, making him wonder whether he came here to entertain the beast or kill it.
Ermaan took a deep breath, then decided to continue its task. He went near the place his scabbard was and placed his sword back in it. Then, he approached the beast again, who didn't even budge this time to say nothing about reacting.
Erman went really very close to the beast and extended his hand to touch the beast's face, who changed it to another direction. Making him sigh deeply.
So, he threw his scabbard near the door of the prison cell, a grave mistake, but committed during the moment of foolishness. Then, he fell to his knees, closed his eyes and raised his hand in the air , deciding to trust the beast, which definitely was the scariest yet stupidest decision in history.
But who would have thought that the beast would showcase humanity and approach Ermaan on its own, so what it made Ermaan wait for a long period of time, at last it approach Ermaan which matters.
It placed its forehead next to Ermaan's hand, letting the human know he wins, without any bloodbath, without any fight, without any gruesome encounter.
He wins. He wins the trust, the faith of the beast. Ermaan smiled slightly. Then stroke gently the head of the beast while opening his eyes. His eyes met the blood red eyes of the beast. Yet Ermaan neither flinched nor blinked.
He kept stroking the beast, till his hands touched the scrappy chains, making the beast to flinch.
"Trust me." Ermaan said and in the next moment the beast closed its eyes. Within a record time Ermaan freed it from all the chains, making it growl merrily.
"So, Miss, when was the last time you flew widely in the sky?" Ermaan asked, earning another happy growl from the beast, who seemed ready to check her flying out. Making Ermaan realise one thing, these beasts are smart, they understand humans.
Making him wonder just why they terrorise humans then.
"Open the door." Ermaan barked his orders to now trembling profusely, Sunak. It would have been better if Sunak had seen the ghost. But he actually saw something more disastrous than that. Human and beast existing peacefully in the same prison, where this very beast had slaughtered countless humans like grass and dirt.
"I said open this bloody damned door." Ermaan shouted and Sunak flinched again, but he did as was told. While in the meantime, Ermaan attached his scabbard back to his dress. He got out of the cell, held the door and stared at the guard.
