["Resurrection is your goal, but I have another offer to bring you out from your endless slumber."] I proclaimed.
["Another offer to bring me from death? You child, what could someone like you offer me? You aren't even developed yet, you're still a young boy who knows nothing about the world."]
["I seen my fair share of the world, even when I was a baby, I know how things work here, I'm not some 'foolish child' you thought of me to be, Erebus, so can you put your ego to the side?"]
Erebus seemed to grunt, either out of annoyance, or shock.
["What is it you offer then…?"]
["Since this whole thing is run by my consent, I wish to bring you out this void of nothingness as a weapon in battle; you technically will be resurrecting into the world as a weapon I can fight my enemies with."] I smirked. ["How does that sound?"]
["What makes you think I'll take you up on that offer?"]
["Its simple really, I kill myself now and end my entire bloodline, and you won't get the powerful mortal you desire."]
["The whole point of me giving you my power was to resurrect myself, not from you willingly allowing me to do so from some foolish offer, you insolent child."]
["You were thinking of manipulating a child, I understand that, but as I said before, I am no normal child… Erebus."]
("His personality changed… Godfrey isn't acting like a child, he's acting more resolute, dependable, and unstoppable. Is this really a little boy?") Erebus had second thoughts on this Ironheart's actual age, taken back by his sudden confidence.
["If I don't cooperate, will you truly end your life?"] Erebus asked.
["Yes, without question."] I replied.
("This child doesn't know it, but I can read minds. I won't fall for his tricks any longer once the truth is revealed!") Erebus closed her blue-eyes and connected with Godfrey's soul, and what she found left her bewildered. ("What? He's showing no signs of lying, is he really going to end his life without cooperation? This boy…")
["Your eyes disappeared in the void, did you leave?"] I asked with a tilt to my head
["No, I am still here. I was making up my mind, and it seems I have no choice… this is my only way of resurrecting from this void of nothingness, thus, I will take you up on your offer, Godfrey Ironheart."] Erebus slowly hovered towards me. ["I will be your weapon in battle, as a way of seeing the world once again, and leaving my confines of death. I, Erebus, will be your sword that transcends the boundaries of life and death, as I will destroy everything that stands in your way."]
I nodded my head in approval, reaching my hand forward.
["As my weapon in battle… your name will be Dark Spirit Sword, Vargamoon!"]
["Vargamoon?"] Erebus questioned it at first, but she accepted it soon after. ["So be it; together we will annihilate your enemies from this world."]
["Yes, lets do this together!"]
I had suddenly vanished from the void of nothingness as I appeared into reality once again. Everything around me was still frozen, however something different was shown upon my return.
It was a sword. A long, and rigged sword with rough edges. It was pitch black, as if it was a piece of the void itself. It had black particles drip down from its exterior as I stood up from the surrounding goblins, grabbing at it with my palm.
["So this is it… this is Vargamoon."]
Once I grabbed it, time had shattered, and everything resumed back to the way it was.
["Naguooooo!"] One of the goblins shouted in surprised once I was missing from my spot, holding a long dark blade in my hand.
["Its time I turn the tables."] I swung Vargamoon with relative ease, engulfing the goblins in a dark essence of magic.
["Guuuwaaaa!!!"] The goblins screamed in agony as their bodies were being shredded apart without my blade even touching them.
Eventually they exploded into nothingness, leaving not a trace of them in front of me.
["What was that?"] I asked, a bit confused at this weapons power.
("As your weapon in battle, our souls have conjoined together; as the dark spirit who has created the ideal of evil itself, I also embody the ideal of evil. With this in mind, everything that you find evil, or negative, will be annihilated, and erased from existence. Everything in this world is at your mercy.") Vargamoon proclaimed.
["I see, so it relies on my subjective view of evil."] I said with a smirk, turning around to face the dark alleyway. ["Those who attacked my village, they're obviously evil in my eyes. They won't be spared."] And so I walked towards the alleyway, hanging Vargamoon low in my hand.
["Daguoooo!"] One of the goblins fired at arrow at me, as many others followed behind.
From behind, in front, left, and right.
However those arrows were soon annihilated once they reached me and Vargamoon.
Completely erased from existence.
["Everything you goblins do will just be annihilated from existence, I already see all of you as evil, so it's only logical that the items associated with you is deemed evil in my eyes."] One goblin lunged at me, however they were destroyed once I swung Vargamoon sideways, decapitating their body.
Another one ran from behind me, holding a spear, but I simply turned around and swung my blade with relative ease, causing a black gust of wind to engulf it, and annihilate them from reality.
The goblins could see they were outmatched, and some started to flee from the village.
["Fleeing from a battle you all started, that's something I won't allow!"] The goblins had suddenly stopped in their tracks as the concept of "fleeing" was erased from existence.
They all charged back at me with fearful looks in their eyes, as the concept of fleeing was gone, which made them unable to do a thing but fight.
Once they approached me, I lunged at them, holding Vargamoon with two hands before slashing at one horde of goblins, and flooding them with dark essence, corroding them out of reality.
They were scared, some even begging for mercy in their foreign language I didn't understand.
One after another, they would be killed.
It was a massacre.
They didn't know who they were messing with.
They invaded my village, believing there would be no repercussions!
Every last goblin was annihilated from my sight.
I couldn't see one goblin remaining except their weapons which they dropped upon death.
I shown no remorse for them, only standing in the middle of the village with my hand holding Vargamoon, and my eyes glancing around me.
["It seems that's the last of them."] I muttered, silently.
("Yes, every last goblin has been eradicated, but it is also time for me to return back to the void.")
["Huh? Return back to the void? Why?"] I asked Erebus.
("Power comes with a limit, even with someone such as me; I can only be summoned once a day, for five minutes total, as my body hasn't fully adjusted to becoming a weapon of battle, and my very essence outside the void of nothingness is weaker. I must refuel myself.")
["I see, if that's the case, I guess I'll see you around, Erebus."]
("Of course you will be seeing me around, the next time I truly deserve to be summoned.")
Vargamoon had vanished in my hand, disappearing into black particles in the sky. But once she did… my entire arm started to ache, and bulge in certain parts.
A SUDDEN PAIN!
["Aghhhhh!!! W-What's happening!? Ghhh… ahhhh!!"] I fell to my knees whilst holding my arm, trying to stop the pain, but it was impossible.
I couldn't control it.
My arm looked as if it'll explode in certain sections of it, scaring me to death.
["I-Is this what she really meant when she said power comes with a limit?"]
My arm was still bulging and pulsating, unable to stop itself.
I had to just sit there… and endure it like a man!
What else could I do?
["Godfrey? Godfrey where are you? We found the villagers, they were all hiding at the barn in the farmlands! They said something about goblins, I don't think its safe here!"]
That voice… was it Olivia's? Thank god she's okay, I thought something had happened to her.
["I-I'm over here!"] I cried out.
["There you're! Me and twirl were looking for you for a while—"] Olivia had suddenly paused in her steps. ["G-Godfrey your arm, what's going on? Are you okay?"] She ran over to me, placing her arms around my shoulder as she helped me up from the ground.
Twirl was shown flying a few meters away, confused on the situation.
["Hey, what's going on over here? HOLY SHIT DUDE, YOUR ARM! WHY IS IT BULGING LIKE THAT? WHAT DID YOU DO WHEN WE WERE GONE?"]
Twirl flew towards me, flapping his wings in front of my pulsing arm.
I don't think it's wise for me to tell them the truth.
