Olivia was in her pajamas after removing her dirty clothes she had worn on the journey with Godfrey and the other children.
She laid on her bed with one leg hanging off the edge as Twirl next to her was fast asleep; she held up a book, reading something that looked familiar.
Ah, yes. It was The Epic Tale of Ferdows.
She was curious on why Godfrey found the Biblical story of Ferdows so interesting, so she decided to check it out herself, by taking her moms copy from her room.
["I don't know why I'm doing this… wait… why am I doing this? Why do I wanna know so much about the things Godfrey knows about?"]
Olivia was reading the biblical story of Ferdows to only relate more to Godfrey. She was clueless when it came to her emotions, and she couldn't control herself either.
Turning around, she laid on her stomach and sat the book on her pillow, kicking her legs up into the air as they swayed back and forth. She was invested in the story.
["My mom always told me not to read this until I'm old enough… but Godfrey can do it, so that means it's fine for me, right?"] Olivia whispered to herself. ["Either way, I'm not taking my eyes off this book, the story is incredible, did Ferdows really do all of this? Cure the sick, come down to earth, and create peace among the world? I wonder if she can still do that… since things are so chaotic now."] Olivia flipped the page in the book, as the fire-lamp next to her burned dimly.
It's been hours of her reading the tale of Ferdows, but she didn't complain, she enjoyed the story more than anything.
Tossing and turning in her bed, she found comfortable positions for each chapter she read. She went through emotions of sadness, anger, despair, and happiness in one sitting.
The story was wonderful. She understood why Godfrey was so invested into it!
Mustering up the courage… she decided to get out of her bed and make her way to the closet, rummaging through it for clothing. What was she doing?
["Godfrey must be tired… but he's sleeping alone, by himself. I don't care how strong he may be, it still worries me! If he can stay up all night protecting me, then it's only fair I do the same. After reading that story, Ferdows showed no fear to her enemies when she's fighting for those she cares about — So I'll do the same!"] Olivia threw on her tunic, brown shorts, and boots to keep her warm before sneaking outside of her room into the streets of Mediocre village. ["Godfrey's house isn't that far away from mine, but I should still be careful."] Olivia managed to stumble forward, nearly falling on her face, but luckily she caught herself on some railing. ["Woah… it's so dark outside, I can't see anything. Did no one keep torches burning tonight? They must be scared from the goblin attack…"]
Olivia regained her footing and made her way through the streets of the village, holding out her palm to conjure a small ball of fire to act as a light source.
["This should do the trick."] She kept the fire burning on her palm as she leaned down to pick up a stick, dipping it into the fire, and creating a mini-torch. ["This may be highly unnecessary, but who cares? Olivia Field isn't afraid of anything, especially when she's protecting her friends."]
["So, what's the next plan?"]
All the sudden a deep voice was heard whispering, which scared Olivia to death.
She nearly jumped outta her skin, but managed to run behind a building, hiding herself.
["Someone's outside this late? And they're by Godfrey's house… who are they?"] Olivia dropped her stick with haste, stomping on it to become undetectable.
["Our next plan is to enrage him; Godfrey's mother is currently on her way to his last location, at a small village where he reunited the experimented Guinea pigs with their families."] A woman wearing all black spoke to a man with pointy hair, and a large sword on his back.
["What will happen when his mother arrives at the village, Lady Mammon?"]
["Its simple, Lorthel, she will be ambushed by a group of our men. Emma Ironheart, and Margret Field will be captured, and locked far away in our strongest headquarters. That way, Godfrey will have no choice but to use his dark spirit magic, and bring the awakening of Erebus."]
Olivia looked down at the ground in disbelief, unable to process all of this at once.
["Mother is going to be ambushed…? At the village we were previously at? Who are these people, were they the ones who captured me? The BlackWing…?"] Olivia experienced ptsd, causing her to hold her head in pain.
The memories came flooding back all at once, forcing her legs to shake uncontrollably.
["Oh no… this is bad… if Godfrey doesn't find out about this… then they are in a lot of trouble… I have to do something!"] Olivia inched her way to the corner of the building, peeking her head out.
She noticed the two figures and their outlines in the dark was gone.
She took a deep breath and quickly ran to Godfrey's house, coming to the front of it and twisting the doorknob.
However it wouldn't budge.
["Of course it's locked, what was I thinking? S-Should I wait at the entrance all night, until he wakes up? No… that won't be wise, our parents are in trouble! But then again he needs rest… m-maybe I should be the one who does something about this."] Olivia slammed her forehead on her door, frustrated at her thoughts. ["This isn't right… I'm suppose to be someone who leads! That's how mom always raised me… but I suck at it when I'm in the heat of the moment. What should I do?"] Olivia started to tear up, slowly falling to her knees while her forehead remained on the door.
["I'm too weak… I realized that… I'm too weak to do anything. It's only up to Godfrey! What can I do to help? I have nothing in my arsenal to help anyone!"]
Olivia turned around, slamming her hand against the ground.
VRMMM
A sound similar to that of an engine had echoed, as the ground beneath Olivia had turned pitch black.
The leaves, flowers, and insects around her had shriveled away into nothingness.
What did she just do?
["That sound… what was that? Was it my arm?"] She looked at her arm, and forgot the power she had stored inside of it.
Olivia remembered it was the power that Godfrey had given to her once he restored her arm.
Could she use this?
But then again—
["This power is dangerous… I don't even know how to use it that well."] She spoke out loud, clenching her fist.
Olivia was debating with herself, trying to decide if it was right or not to use such a gift.
["He said if I continue to use it, bad things will happen… but this situation calls for it!"]
She stood up while looking down at her arm.
["I don't know it's capabilities, but I do know that I deconstructed an entire wall, and rotted away life with one touch; it's like I can kill anything I touch with it, regardless of what they are."] She smirked once dozens of ideas came rushing through her head. ["Its a unique power… I'll call it… Instant Demise!"]
Olivia held out her other hand, conjuring a ball of flames on her palm.
["It doesn't matter what it is, if my arm touches it, it'll die."] To test her theory, Olivia extended her right arm forward, touching the ball of flames until it suddenly combusted into nothingness. ["It works… it really works! Everything that comes into contact with my arm dies. But I have to be careful…"] Olivia nodded to herself before turning around to face Godfrey's house.
["You can leave this to me Godfrey, just sleep easy. Olivia Field will now be the one who saves the day this time."] She ran away, leaving the village-border and out into the wild once again, however she went by herself this time.
Olivia didn't bother looking back.
She didn't bother to rest, especially when it came to saving her mothers life, and Godfrey's mother as well.
The BlackWing and their schemes wouldn't end until someone puts them down. This evil organization took advantage of their enemies resting. They thought of it as a weakness from their foes.
["Once I find out who's behind this, I'll beat them down for good! All it takes is one touch and it's over. I can rely on my power to aid me till the end. Don't worry mother, I'm coming to save you."]
Olivia was filled with determination from running through a dark forest.
The young girl knew she had a power that no one could rival, thanks to Godfrey.
The BlackWing making a move on her could be deadly if they had no plan.
Olivia was safe… but was Emma and Margret?
