A blonde lady in a blue robe, with one of the sleeves cut off was walking through a forest surrounded by wildlife. Next to her was another lady who wore a red robe that hung down to her knees, with long red hair hanging down her back.
Both Margret Field and Emma Ironheart were together, joining forces to look for their children that went missing yesterday. They could no longer sit in their house and weep, believing that their child had been murdered. No. They decided to take matters in their own hands.
Emma rotated her head to the side, glancing at Margret, saying, ["The nobles are a bunch of nobodies, they have no empathy for us commoners. If we made our way to the CJU, they wouldn't even bother to investigate the loss of our children."] The CJU stood for "Criminal Justice Unit" in Atlantis City, responsible for stopping crime and enforcing most laws upon the city.
They were toxic, they didn't care for the commoners and their problems, and only solved the problems of nobles inside Atlantis City.
["Yes, the CJU may be a reliable source when it comes to Atlantis city, but for us, it is a waste of time. I say we make our own justice system, that stops crime inside Mediocre village."] Margret responded, causing Emma chuckle.
["Yes, indeed. But doing that will cost a lot of gold, and we rarely have much to spare."]
["I suppose you're right, Emma, however we commoners are hardworking people, so what will stop us from working until we could make enough?"]
["Well to make things easier on us, we can rely on my son to guide us commoners to a better path."] Proclaimed Emma.
["Your son? His name is Godfrey, yes? I see potential in him, but being a leader, or guide, is something he lacks unlike my Olivia."]
["Hoh? Your Olivia, she is quite hotheaded, but I do see that leader-spirit inside of her — though she lacks potential to truly guide us unlike Godfrey."]
["My Olivia lacks potential!? She may not be up there with your son, but she is still powerful nonetheless. I would rather follow behind a great leader, than a boy who lacks leader-traits, and is mostly just power."]
Emma stopped in her tracks as she crossed her arms.
["You may have raised your daughter to become an iron-wall, unstoppable, fierce, and honorable, for the most part. But I raised Godfrey to show everyone respect, care, kindness, and love. I would rather look up to a person like my son, than your daughter in any life."]
Margret twitched in her eye as the hoody behind her started to waver in the wind, releasing mana from her body, and constructing an aura.
Anger engulfed her mind, and she could only think of making Emma regret her words greatly.
Margret clenched her fist, surrounding it in flames.
However Emma did the same, matching Margrets energy from her spiked anger.
They both stared at each other as Emma turned around, smiling, smugly.
["I knew it would come to this sooner or later when we traveled together. I always told Godfrey that Olivia's mother was a bit prideful, and hotheaded just like herself. Me giving my point of view on things seemed to anger you enough to fight me, rather the men who captured our children."]
Margret sucked her teeth, grunting at her words.
["Tsk… don't get me wrong, Emma, I would love to take the heads of those men that captured my Olivia, but I will also take the head of someone who belittles her to such a degree, like yourself."]
["Sure, Margret, but what is more important? Fighting here and now, or finding our children?"] Emma frowned, holding up her fist as she clenched it tightly.
["More than ever I want to find my Olivia, but you need a bit of discipline! I'll wipe that smug look off your face!!"] Margret made the first move, charging forward as she cocked her fist back.
["Pitiful, you're blinded by anger."] Emma accelerated towards Margret, also cocking her fist back.
They both clashed their fists together which caused a fiery explosion that traversed the forest, burning trees, bushes, and other poor wildlife that was caught in its mix.
Their arms bulked up in detail with their fists clashed together, causing the ground underneath them to crack… slowly forming a crater from raw strength alone.
["So… it seems we're even!?"] Margret muttered.
["I haven't battled in ages, it's been 10 years, ever since the Great War of Daguro; if I was in my prime, things would be different!"] Emma proclaimed.
["Is that so?"] Margret risen her leg, kneeing into Emma's gut which forced her to spit blood.
Her body was rag-dolled into a burning tree, toppling it over as many other fell in the process.
["You let your guard down too easily in battle, Emma, I wonder if you were really the so-called "Iron queen" in the Great War. You don't live up to your name, at all."] Margret scoffed at her, mocking the Ironheart.
["Ah, so you have heard of my nickname. They called me the Iron Queen due to my indomitable will, equal to my husband's."]
A voice appeared behind Margret, causing her to jump frontward.
["H-How did you—?"]
["How did I get behind you? It's called skill. I am a Warlock you know, despite my years of resting, I still have muscle memory when it comes to fighting."] Emma cocked her fist back, slamming it into Margrets stomach, and forcing a shockwave to bestow upon the area.
Margrets body skidded backwards while her feet dug in the mud below her. The woman eyes were bloodshot red, falling to her hand and knee, and holding her stomach with the other palm.
She coughed up blood, spitting it on the ground… but then recovered instantly.
["Haaaaah!!!"] Margret stood up and tackled Emma while using wind magic to take flight, bulldozing through hordes of trees, boulders, and even cliffs.
She accelerated with Emma in front of her, forcing the mother to take the brunt of the damage while Margret wrapped her arms around her waist, making escape impossible.
["Aghh! Ughh-! Oough!"] Emma groaned in pain, feeling her body smashing into sturdy objects one after another.
A tree, boulder, cliffside, even smashing through a mountain as Margret refused to let go.
["You fool, using wind magic to pull us away from our destination! Our children could've been there!"] Out of pure rage, Emma decided to use all of her power, exploding with a fiery mana to push away Margret.
Emma's aura was fierce, boiling the very lake underneath them, and even evaporating the entirety of it.
Margret widened her eyes from such a turn of events, leaving her with no choice but to cast a wind barrier in front of her.
["By Ferdows!"] Margret held out her arms, opening her palms to erect a barrier of wind around her, which averted the heat off its course.
The immense heat carried behind her and burned away the environment, leaving nothing alive from its temperatures.
["Its steadily increasing… 2,000 degrees… 4,000 degrees, it won't stop!"] Margret had trouble keeping her barrier of wind up, feeling the heat seep through. ["My skin is being melted!"] Margret shouted, unable to take anymore pain, thus, she disembarked her barrier of wind, and was engulfed in the intense heat.
It felt as if she were being melted alive, however the heat soon went away from Emma's control of emotions.
What just happened? How did Emma obtain such an explosive power out of nowhere? It left Margret confused as she laid who lying inside a large hole, which was once a lake. But was simply melted away.
["Such power… why? Why do you have such magic bundled inside of you."] Margret muttered under her voice as her body was covered in severe burns.
["I was once known as a Nazerak before I married Richard, becoming a Ironheart. I'm sorry it had to come to this, Margret, but you show no empathy for others. You follow a straight line that is not always best. You were even willing to battle me like a fool when your daughters life can be at stake."] Emma stood over Margret with her palm against her hip.
["We need to be women. We need to be mothers! Our children need us, and here we're fighting one another, that is not always best."]
Margret slowly lifted her head from the ground.
["You mentioned… Nazerak? The clan that died out decades ago? Are you the last one? The last remaining Nazerak?"] Margret seemed baffled.
["I was the last one until my boy, Godfrey, came along. My legacy rests on his shoulder… as well as his fathers."]
Nazeraks were a clan of people, wiped out ages ago by some unknown cult. The cult burned down their village and slaughtered them like sheep, stealing them for experimental purposes that are yet unknown, however theorized.
The Nazeraks were able to force their bodies into their prime state, or at its maximum when they feel a certain emotion, or even frustration in battle.
["Come with me, shall we start over?"] Emma held out her hand, offering help.
["You nearly killed me…"] Muttered Margret.
["I was only protecting myself, wouldn't you do the same if your life was on the line?"] Responded Emma.
["Do not make me regret this, Nazerak…"] Margret closed her eyes and sighed… reaching her hand up to grip Emma's.
