It's been about an hour or so, and I've been telling Olivia about what happened...
She didn't believe me at first, but with Twirl here to back me up, it made things much easier, also I had the literal dragon egg right next to me, so my story was impossible to deny at this point.
Me, Olivia, and Twirl were sitting down at the campsite while the other kids ran around and started to play with each other, enjoying their time outside their prison cells.
["Hmph, it's not fair at all! I could've joined you on fighting a dragon! If anything, Godfrey, you should've brought me with you so I could show you a dragons weakness! Remember, I know everything about this world, especially the wildlife!"] Olivia proclaimed.
And she was right.
That was stupid of me for not bringing her, she would've been the perfect leader in taking down a dragon, and maybe I wouldn't have killed it if she came along.
Just thinking about it made me wanna slap myself a dozen times like the idiot I was.
So I sighed, and said;
["You're right Olivia, I should've taken you with me. If I could turn back time, then I would... so I wanna say I'm sorry, for my stupidity, and for Zarathruuka's death."] I bowed my head in shame, facepalming myself from regret.
I screwed up, big time.
["What are you talking about, Godfrey? Even if you brought this human girl with you, she would've died during teleportation, remember?"] Twirl exclaimed, causing me to widen my eyes.
I totally forgot about that.
I didn't tell Olivia about that part yet, so of course she was confused.
["Huh? Teleportation? Is that what you did to me when I came charging at you?"]
["Hahaha, yep! Wouldn't believe it until you see it, huh? Twirl here taught me how to use teleportation so I can travel instantly to one place or another, but there's one thing wrong with it."]
["Whats wrong with it then?"] Olivia asked as she tilted her head to the side.
["Teleporting from Earth to Underearth breaks down one's cellular structure and prevents them from regenerating on a cellular level. After that happens, it changes your biology before converting it into mana-fuel to empower the forcefield around Underneath and making it stronger."] Twirl proclaimed.
["Is this done from the Warlock centuries ago? I heard that a powerful warlock by the name 'Leon Ironheart' had sealed off access from Underearth to keep all earthlings from interfering with minority groups down below."] Olivia asked.
["Yep, that's correct, human girl! Wow, you must know your history, huh?"] Twirl responded.
("Leon Ironheart? My last name is Ironheart... that's odd.")
Wait, could this powerful warlock be connected to me?
Was that the reason I could even pass through the forcefield around Underearth?
This started to sound pretty suspicious, I'm sure it's no coincidence, right? Only one way to find out.
["Twirl."]
["Huh? What is it Godfrey?"]
["I have a question to ask you."]
["Sure, go ahead."] Twirl turned to face me, looking a bit curious.
["Has there been any occurrence where another human has passed through Underearth and survived? Either by teleportation or any other method."]
Twirl looked up in thought at my question, humming to himself.
["Hmmm, not that I can think of... well... the only way to really breach the forcefield between Earth and Underearth is by the help of Ferdows, the god, since she can manipulate fate and change a course of events. Another way is by doing whatever you did!"]
I widened my eyes—
Did he say change fate?
["Wait, is Leon Ironheart's Magic so powerful to the point you need the help from Ferdows herself?"] I asked.
["Yeah, he was one of the most powerful warlocks to roam this world!"] Olivia proclaimed.
["W-Well if that's the case... I think we may have a connection with each other."] I responded, which caused both Twirl and Olivia to look at me questionably.
["A connection with Leon Ironheart? You may be jumping to big conclusions Godfrey."] Twirl exclaimed.
["Like heck you're, Godfrey! I agree with the slime, you being connected to Leon is impossible, right?"] Olivia asked.
["I seriously doubt it; I can survive the breach into Underearth with teleportation magic when it inevitably kills someone who tries it. I managed to come out just fine while I thought it was from my mothers physiology, but I may be wrong. What if I survived because of my connection with Leon?"]
["What makes you think you have a connection with Leon in the first place, Godfrey?"] Twirl asked me in a suspicious tone.
["O-Oh... I haven't told you my last name, have I? Well, its Godfrey Ironheart, my surname that carried from my dads side."]
["Holy fucking shit..."] Twirl muttered.
["Hey, language slime!"] Olivia called out.
["Godfrey Ironheart? Why didn't you tell me sooner that your last name was Ironheart? There's only one family in this whole world with the last name of Ironheart, and you're one of them!"] Twirl started to frantically jump around. ["This is big news! Super big news, holy crap I can't believe it! Godfrey is an Ironheart!"]
Olivia crossed her arms and frowned.
She wasn't mad or anything, it was just her normal expression as she glanced at the ground below her.
["I suppose it makes sense, due to your last name and all. But can we really be sure? What if it's just another last name from a completely different family?"] Olivia asked which caused Twirl to land flat on his bottom, turning around to face her.
["Nope, that's not possible! When we met with Leon Ironheart, he was a great man who told us a lot about his family, and he also told us that his family was the only one with the surname of 'Ironheart'! He said if we ever run across another one with that last name, we're suppose to show great respect unless they're conducting evil."]
["I-I guess so, but things change! That was over centuries ago when the great Warlock was alive!"] Exclaimed Olivia.
["On a funny note, Twirl is over hundreds of years old, I find that funny."]
["Watch it, Godfrey, that's only teenager years for us slimes compared to you humans!"]
["WAIT WHAT?"] I shouted. ["THATS WAY TOO LONG!"]
["People are born differently, idiot!"] Olivia shouted.
["I know that, but one hundred plus years for a slime to be counted as a teenager is too much! The slime family that tried to get me to marry their daughter would've been shocked if I told them I was only 9!"]
["Wait what? What is this about slimes trying to marry you, Godfrey?"] Olivia stood up, placing her hands on her hips.
["I-I declined of course, I'm not ready for marriage, trust me, I'm not lying, Olivia!"] I held up my hands, a bit shaky from her angry expression.
["Uhuh? So, Twirl, was it? Is Godfrey telling the truth? You were with him after all, weren't you?"] Olivia looked at Twirl.
["U-Uhhhh..."]
WHAT THE HELL, EVEN TWIRL WAS SCARED OF HER? HE STUTTERED! I NEVER HEARD HIM STUTTER!
["Yeah! Godfrey is lying, he totally wanted to get in those slime cheeks."]
["Twirl, are you kidding me???"] I stood up and looked at my slime friend that ratted me out with a lie!
["Sorry, I'm not dealing with this girls angry side, she's scary!!"] Twirl started to hop away, making his way behind one of the stone-igloos.
["YOU TRAITOR!"] I yelled.
****
Thirty minutes had passed... and I had a bruise on my face while my cheek was swollen.
Olivia socked me without any hesitation, while also claiming that she was gonna tell my mom when we get home.
I guess I deserved that, somewhat.
I was still deserving of punishment for killing a dragon who was pregnant.
So I can take the punch like a man- I mean boy... and go on about my day.
Twirl apologized but I was still a bit angry at him for lying like that, then again, I understand.
Olivia is one scary chick.
It must've been from her mothers side like my mom said.
Anyways, we finally destroyed our campsite and moved onwards.
It shouldn't take long to make it to the children's village, where they were captured from.
Twirl was flying above our heads with his make-shift wings, looking in vast distances for any shortcuts to our destination, and boy oh boy was he helpful.
He made us avoid troll camps, goblin camps, and even saber-tooth cat territories.
There were so many different kinds of wildlife in this world, it astonished me.
Saber-toothed cats were extinct in my world after the age of dinosaurs, but they existed here, naturally.
Any dinosaur you could think of that went extinct from the asteroid that hit earth, exists here in this world, and in their own territory.
It was like a world of imagination, and it also reminded me of Jurassic park, a classic.
["Hey, up ahead is the village! We made it, this is the right path!"] Twirl shouted from above, causing the children walking with us to cheer with their arms above their head.
It was a wonderful journey with them, finally coming to an end.
When this is over, me and Olivia can finally return back home.
