They entered inside the venue. The hall was decorated beautifully with red roses and gold decorations on the walls. The chandeliers were lit with fairy lights hanging from it creating a beautiful atmosphere. There was music playing in the background and people dancing together. As soon as they entered everyone one eye fixated on them.
Mira was wearing a light blue gown that she got early with her ash brown hair straightened falling down her waist. She wore pearl studs in ear lobe. Heila wore a light purple gown that hugged her curves perfectly. She also straightened her short black hair and wore beautiful silver earrings which had a purple gem in the middle of it and a diamond attached on the other side. While Lianna wore an A-line light pink gown that had a slit on the left side of it, exposing her legs. Her long dark orange hair curled and fell down on her shoulders. She was wearing light pink beaded earrings on her ears as well as a ring on her index finger.
"Everyone is looking at us girls," Helia smiled teasingly. They went to greet the star of today. One and only Harold Marston. Harold Marston was standing in the middle of the hall with his family members including Zion.
"Happy Birthday Grandpa," Mira smiled brightly as she hugged him.
"Thanks my dear, let me see. This dress looks nice. You have a good taste Zion," Grandpa exclaimed with a huge smile on his face.
Mira confusedly looked at Zion. While Helia and Lianna exchanged their curious glances.
"Wasn't this dress chosen by grandpa?" How come he picked it out?
"Grandpa, I have a surprise for you," Zion replied. Mira looked over her shoulder to see two guys approaching them. Both of them were tall and handsome. On the other hand Lianna and Helia's jaws dropped after looking at the two men approaching them.
"Dr. Kyree?"
"Mr. Stranger?"
"Look like we have to talk girls," Mira whispered to her friend. The two men approached them.
"Happy birthday grandpa," Sila wished with a smile and hugged his grandpa.
"Here comes my grandson, your mother didn't come?" Grandpa asked Sila, hugging his grandson tightly.
"Grandpa, Am I not enough?" Sila
said as they released from the hug. The guy who was hugging grandpa looked quite familiar but Mira couldn't remember who the guy was.
"Of my son, I am glad that you are here. It's just that I am getting older, I want to meet all of my children before I leave this world," Grandpa stated while patting Sila's head gently with a smile on his face.
"Grandpa, why are you talking about inauspicious things Grandpa?" Mira asked with a frown on her face.
"Yes, Grandpa is your birthday. We shouldn't talk about it," Zion joined the conversation, looking serious.
"Of course Grandpa, you have to see my wedding," Sila whispered in his Grandpa's ear while gazing at Lianna.
"I think I found her," Sila muttered while still looking at her. His gaze was soft as he looked lovingly at her with warmness.
...
"Girls, our target is here," Heila said, taking a sip of cocktail.
The three ladies sat across from each other on the table as they watched Rachel walking inside the hall tugging her arm in Rafael's hand. Rafael was holding her hand softly stroking it with his thumb making her feel comfortable and calm. Rafael's gaze was loving on her as he gazed at her. His eyes sparked with love Lianna felt a pang in her heart seeing them like this.
"Let it be girl, I don't want to fight," Lianna said, trying her best to keep her tears inside but she knew she would burst into tears any minute now.
"No way Lianna, you have to fight. Rachel has been taking everything you have from toys to your boyfriend. Are you really okay with that?" Helia replied harshly.
"Toys are just objects; they can't make decisions. Rachel takes advantage of that. That's why she always takes away my toys. But Rafael's a person with his own thoughts and feelings, and he's chosen to be with her," Lianna asserted, controlling the urge to cry and show emotions through her voice.
"See, my two year love became weighed down by two days of infatuation," Lianna commented as she took another sip of cocktail.
Mira consoled Lianna quietly patting on her back as they watched Rachel and Rafael walk toward their table. Lianna sniffled slightly as she looked at Rafael.
"I feel suffocated by this situation, I need some fresh air," Lianna muttered as she stood up and walked outside the hall. She took a deep breath in to compose herself. The cold night air was refreshing as usual and calmed her nerves. Lianna inhaled deeply as she closed her eyes feeling the cool breeze blowing past her face.
"Seems like you don't like parties?" Sila's voice came from behind her causing Lianna to turn around abruptly. Her ocean blue eyes met with his hazel brown eyes. He had his shirt button open, slightly showing off his silver chain. It was the second time she was seeing it and now she was curious about it. She was also curious why this man always kept showing up in her embarrassing situation. Like he was there when had her break up. He has seen her crying twice.
"Have you seen enough? " he asked, smiling softly. Lianna averted her eyes quickly embarrassed.
"I wasn't looking at your exposed chest," Lianna replied nervously while fumbling her fingers nervously as her cheeks reddening. Sila chuckled lightly.
"I didn't mention anything," he said calmly. His calmness was killing her.
"Can I sit here?" he asked, pointing to the bench where she was sitting.
"Suit yourself," Lianna said crossing her arms over her chest. She tried to ignore his presence next to her.
Sila took the seat beside her and leaned back against the bench as he relaxed. He placed his right arm casually behind the bench.
"I saw your ex in the party with another woman. And here you are crying for him?"
he asked raising his brow curiously. Lianna glared at him.
"Do you really have to rub salt on my wounds?"
"Sorry, I was just asking," Sila sighed rubbing his neck and shifting uncomfortably on the seat.
Lianna stood up and started walking away ignoring him when he called her name again. "Where are you going?" he asked following her.
"To enjoy party," she replied without turning her head to look back at him.
