Then they took the second and most effective measure, that was, most of them slept in the day time and woke up at nights. It was very effective. For centuries they had been nocturnal, so that they could see better at nights. They had commissioned scientists and researchers and came to the conclusion that after centuries of nocturnal habit, the members of their lineage could see better at nights - at least seven percent better than an average human being. After a millennium perhaps they would do better. John was hopeful.
They allowed sunlight into their households and even bed rooms when they would be asleep once a week.
Their diets were also controlled. To compensate for the lack of sunlight, they had to add omega three fatty acids, tryptophans. They regularly ate eggs, cheese, salmon, seeds and turkey and always drank pineapple juice and other fruit juices. This diet helped them to compensate for the lack of serotonin.
When they changed to fight against fate, fate also took advantage of their weak points. Werewolves also observed that Silverarrows were getting scared of light and day time. And they used it several times against them - they had used light against them on several occasions.
Then Silverarrows started relying on their ears. They increased their focus through dedicated meditation and increased their hearing and perceiving power.
Again there they were no match against the werewolves, for werewolves' hearing and smelling power surpriseded Silverarrows' by thousand folds. Yet they meditated and increased their hearing power. And increased their hearing power by two point three percent than that of average human beings.
