I made my final choice and kept a straight face without turning to my side but the closer I got to him the harder it was to keep myself from looking at him.
"Does he always have to be on my way whenever I was in a hurry to see the Princess?"I questioned myself.
The real question was why? Why he stood there without moving a muscle as if he waited for someone.
Anyways I kept my face away from him but that didn't work at all.
"Rushing to the Princess again?" He asked me before I got close.
"Shouldn't you be preparing for tonight?" I asked instead of responding to his rhetorical question.
"How about you? You should just move on with your assignment and let me do mine would you?"
Words could not express the joy in my heart when he said those words, indirectly telling me to leave was a dream come true even though I never dreamt of it.
Without wasting as much as a second, I walked away swiftly and smiled inwardly until I realized that I had made no effort to fix things, not even an apology, for some reason I felt it was foolish of me to have walked away, especially after Samantha's had threatened me.
I shaved those thoughts off my head and slightly knocked twice on the Princess's door. Usually, she would have asked me to come in but there was no response.
Before I understood why, she opened the door.
"Good you are here, let's go!" She instructed, grabbed my hands and ran through the hallway.
"Don't hurt yourself, my princess, please slow down," I told her.
"We don't have time Sage," She said to me and suddenly came to a halt where Allesio stood and asked.
"Where is it?"
"Where was what?" I wondered what she asked him to do, but I didn't wait too long when Allesio clapped twice, and right before my eyes a chariot of two horses came out from the bend with a guard riding on it not so far from where I had spilled the tea earlier that day.
I was dumbstruck, never in my life have I seen a single horse inside the palace, but seeing a whole chariot was a sight to behold, the hallway was big enough to hold five horses standing next to each other so it was no surprise that a whole chariot could fit in there.
The chariot had two sitting compartments, a smaller one in front where a guard sat and directed the movement of the horses and a second compartment where the Princess sat and I entered after her.
It was unfair how the Princess had a faster way out of the hallway because in no time we were out of the building, through a long bushy path with lots of trees, and finally out of the palace through the large metallic gate that requires three hefty men to push it open.
It had been a while since I left the palace so the atmosphere felt different, vibrant with so many people who moved about as they did their daily jobs.
The seamstress's shop wasn't so far away and with our horse, we got there in no time and the eye of villagers peered at us like strangers.
After changing into several blue-colored dresses, we picked a sky blue dress designed for a royal ball with several dark blue sequins and beads arranged beautifully from the waist to the rim and with that I imagined the perfect hairstyle for the outfit.
The sun was almost setting when we left the marketplace because we went everywhere looking for the best shoes for the dress. Princess Agatha was all about the features of everything she purchased, she wanted everything to be glamorous.
We got to the palace in time and I took a quick stop at the dining hall to look at what had been done and I must say they understood the assignment, I also went to the kitchen and was more than delighted to see that the raspberry Charlotte was ready alongside several other dishes, things came together perfectly.
"I see you are getting a hang of leadership," Her voice echoed in my head and I shook in fear before I turned around to meet her evil grimace.
My thoughts ran dry instantly and I couldn't find any response, I only stared at her an hoped she would walk away without speaking further.
"I just hope you haven't forgotten our little deal, it's already sunset, before sunrise tomorrow and nothing has been fixed just know there is no mercy for you from what I'll do," Her words made me shiver a bit but I showed no sign of fear even though I remained speechless.
I thought it was over, and was about to walk away but she stopped me, and stared into my eyes, and slowly inched close until her lips were close to my ear gates, and then she mumbled,
"You may get killed for it,"
My eyes widened in shock and my heart raced once again, I stared into her eyes that screamed death continuously with an evil grin that was visible on her face.
"The Prince has arrived!" We were Interrupted by the voice of those who screamed about the arrival of Prince Andrew all over the place.
It reminded me of the Princess and how I was supposed to take care of her immediately, and I only had a few minutes to do it.
The announcement concerning the Prince's arrival didn't mean that he was at the palace yet. He had entered the kingdom and was on his way to the palace which gave me time to get the Princess ready, she was taking a bath before I went to see how things were going so all I had to do when I get back to her was dress her up and make her hair which wouldn't take a long time.
I was determined to make sure that nothing goes wrong that night.
