Chapter 7 - 07

That night was long but remarkable, for the Princess it was a dream come true but for me, it was very uncomfortable.

Allesio's eyes were on me the whole time and I did nothing about it, I just stood behind the Princess motionless unless when I was told to do something like serve the food to everyone sitting across the dining table.

Princess Agatha kept a smile on her face and stole a glance at Prince Andrew at every given opportunity.

Her cheeks flushed all shades of red when he placed a kiss on them, her hand shivered when he grabbed them and she looked breathless whenever he drew near.

I thought they would share a chamber and get intimate like they probably always dreamt of but I was shocked when the Prince requested a separate chamber. I found it awkward for the both of them to stay in separate rooms but everyone at the table agreed with it.

The dinner came to an end and I panicked because I had to tell Allesio that I would dance with him and it was never part of my plan for that night, but my fear of Samantha's threat was greater.

"What would it take? It's just one night, one dance and that's all, it's not like he intends to get married to you, "I spoke to myself like I was going insane.

"Thank you, Sage," The Princess said to me and snapped me out of those thoughts.

"You are welcome my Princess, I am glad you liked it, I'll go prepare a warm bath for you immediately, I can see that you are sweating a lot from anxiety," She chuckled at my words before she left to speak with the King.

That was her third bath for the day but I didn't complain, besides I was looked for an excuse to leave the dining hall and away from Allesio. I had to suspend telling him this that night and planned to do so the morning before Samantha declares that it is sunrise and get me into trouble.

I still found it strange that I was that scared, why was she so concerned about me fixing him, is there something I was missing? Because I didn't see how a simple rejection could cause a full-grown man's sister to act the way Samantha did, I believed there was something else beyond that.

The night came to an end and everyone went to rest, I had no idea what chamber the Prince was taken to and u didn't care about it, the thought of telling Allesio was my bedtime story as it sent me into a deep slumber in no time.

_ _ _ _ _

My body had adjusted to the early morning wake-up time that I needed no head maid to wake me up with the sound of a bell.

I shared a chamber with five maids who I barely spoke with, yet, every morning they greeted me like I was a close friend of theirs.

I still felt tired after the previous night but I had a morning routine to attend to and Allesio to deal with. Unlike the day before, I walked at my preferable pace to the Princess's chamber to deliver her morning tea since I had a lot of time to spare.

As expected, she still slept peacefully while I placed the tray down without a care in the world, before I left, I stole a glance at her face which still radiated from the previous night's experience and it suddenly reminded me that I ought to deliver tea to the Prince as well.

Doing that required me to ask questions because I had no idea what type of tea the Prince loved to take, nor did I know what chamber he was as taken to.

As I walked out of the Princess's room, I asked the maids and servants I found on my way about the Prince's room but non of them had an answer to my question.

Luckily one of those I spoke to said Samantha had taken the Prince to his chamber the last night which wasn't so lucky because I dreaded her at thatnmoment so the thought of asking her that question sent fear down my bones.

But she was my only hope and I hated myself for neglecting such important information about the Prince last night. When I walked to her quarter, I was worried about how she would react to it but I needed confidence because I intended to avoid repeating the mistake I made with the Princess's tea.

I knocked twice on the door and waited for her response and she opened the door almost immediately.

"What do you want?" She thundered but I pretended not to be moved.

"Could you direct me to the Prince's chamber if it's not too much bother," I calmly requested and she squinted her face into a frown.

"Come with me!" She commanded and I followed obediently. She showed me the Prince's chamber and gave me certain instructions concerning his tea and what sweetener to be added.

I was surprised at how she helped knowing that she already despise me, "maybe because it was for the Prince" I thought. I set out to make his tea immediately.

She said that he was allergic to honey so I made use of the licorice instead to sweeten his black tea before I headed to deliver it to him.

If it was the Princess's chamber I would have quietly walked in, but it was his so I knocked slightly. His servant opened the door and took the tray of tea from me and I walked away believing that I was done with it.

But before I walked so far away from the chamber, his servant ran to me with a worried expression on his face.

"Water!"He said

"Get some water for the Prince and fast,"

I was confused, but I quickly ran to the kitchen. When I returned with a cup of water, there so many people in his chamber including the King and Princess Agatha and they all stared at me like I had committed murder.

"What have I done this time?" I asked myself.
