Chapter 3 - 3. Heart stopper...

"Erina, where are you?"

"I told you I was going out for my lunch break." Erina Barret says with a mouth stuffed with bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. "Come back immediately the manager is panicking because they say the boss is coming today."

"But Roxy, I just started eating." She complains almost in tears as she looked at her table. She still had one more sandwich to go, and her blueberry smoothie which she was sipping slowly.

"You won't have any money to buy food again if you get fired now." Roxanne reasons, and with grumbling and tears in her grey eyes, she lifts herself up from the chair and walks out of the Cafe.

But then she runs back in, packs up everything she still had on the table, and went to the counter... "Can you pack all these for me?" She blinked her long white lashes and smiled cutely causing the guy to blush. There was no way she was going to let her money go to waste.

With her sandwich wrapped in a bag, and her smoothie transferred to a paper cup, she runs out of the Cafe.

She just got the Job a month ago, and since then, she had never seen the boss before. She'd only heard tales and stories of the man.

That he was a heart stopper, that he was the dream of dreams, that he was just twenty-eight, and yet no one could try going against him. Everyone bows to him.

That he was extremely fine, a dark and toxic aura emitted around him, he had dark hair, emerald green eyes, and was tall enough to make short women crane their necks till their heads touched their backs. According to the stories, he had the features of a vampire prince.

"Today I get to see the almighty Reuel Caddel... Let's see if the stories are true for once." She said to herself as she stopped running as soon as she reached the front of the building, straightening up her gown as she didn't want any trouble with her manager.

All set, she waltz into the mall and didn't realize that the almighty boss she wished to see was slowly and silently walking three feet behind her, studying her every move...

Not until she heard a weird song that she'd never heard play in the mall before, and she saw the manager run past her like a bolt of lightning, and she turned to see what in the world had her haughty manager on her toes and...

"Tall..." She mutters, "Black hair... Everyone bows to him." she continued listing them, as he took further steps, and she was glued to the spot. And she saw the staff lined up, bowing to him.

"Dark and toxic aura..." she could feel it, a kind of breath-seizing wind overwhelmed her. She could see that the sun had done some wonders on him, as his white skin was healthily tanned, giving him some kind of light bronze color. "All in all, a beautiful prince of darkness. A heart stopper." *WOW.* she drools, her heart pounding in her chest. "For once the rumors ARE true."

"Kids... Don't chase yourself around the mall." A woman called out to her troubling triplets as they ran around the mall, and toward an awestruck Erina.

"Stop!! You're gonna fall d..." before their mother could say the words completely, one of them tripped over his own foot, and pushed Erina, causing her to propel forward with her eyes and mouth wide open, and her hands in the air trying to find some kind of balance as she fell forward and was crashing...

"oh no." she thought in her head as her palm held onto the paper cup tighter, and the blueberry smoothie dramatically squeezed out of the cup in slow motion and was headed straight for none other than...

*SPLASH*

"ehhh!!" Gary and the other staff gasped. The manager's phone dropped from her hands, and her eyes remained wide open.

Reuel's eyes closed as the cold liquid spilled all over him, and he stood there, dripping with blueberry juice from head to shoulders, and buried in his arms with shame was the lady whose name he was yet to know.

With embarrassment and shame, biting her lower lip, slowly she looked up at the man who held her in his arms, and he tilts his head to the side to give her a better view, her lashes dawdled close, and open, as she looked directly into those eyes.

"They are not emerald... They are malachite green," she mutters.

Seeing her dazed state wasn't a surprise for him. It was something that always happened, but shouldn't she snap out of it already? "I know I'm breathtakingly beautiful, and I know my arms are as solid as a rock, and yet they feel like a comfortable pillow, and you wish to remain in them forever, but don't you think you should get off me now?"

Lords! His voice was deep and lazily enchanting. It had a mysterious ring to it, and she was lost in this mystery. So lost.

"You want to stay like this forever?"

Like she was knocked back to reality, her mouth opened even wider as she freed herself from his really firm arms... Damn, what are those arms made of? She wondered but instantly told herself to come back to her senses.

"I..." Before she could even utter a word, she was shoved out of the way... "I am so sorry sir, this is all my fault... Let me wipe this off for you. I have failed to train my subordinates. I will get her out of your sight this instant. You will never see her again... I'm so sorry sir. Please come this way..." The lady says as she ushers him into the mall.

" I am really sorry about this sir... Let me take you to your room, I'll get new clothes for you this instant sir... I am desperately sorry sir." The woman begged as she cleaned his shoulders with her handkerchief as she walked with him, constantly eyeing Erina with all the evil her eyes could emit.

" Hey," he suddenly paused, and everyone turns. Erina looks up, down, and sideways, wondering if she was the 'hey' he was referring to. She pushes her eyes and neck forward, as she points her index finger at herself as if to ask... 'Me?'

"Yes, you." He answered her silent question. "Bring me a new pair of clothes." He simply says and walks off.

And Gary instantly runs over to Erina, dragging her by her arm so they could go get something that fits the boss's taste.

And Erina could only follow him like a lamb to be slaughtered.
