I have no idea what universe I just entered but I do know something; I need to hide. This place is filled with things that don't move, I think their homes of people but I don't see anyone. I do see lights though like the lights I used to see back home from fires when we were playing late at night. It's suffocating here and the air feels dense and the little creatures in the atmosphere are dying. I can smell death from here even though the wind is brushing past me in gushes. Suddenly the air I was breathing started to fill with the scent of roses and I saw a girl; she looks like she can give me safety.
She resembles my sister. I started following her and she entered one of those houses. How was I going to enter without being noticed? It's a very big house for a single person but it wasn't a single person's house because there are a lot of people in the rooms; many, many rooms and I saw her going upstairs; some weird stairs that moved on their own. How was I going to follow her if I couldn't even see her because the thick wall blocked my view and before I knew it, she was gone. Should I just walk in and act like I know her. Would they kill me?
At least now I know what species she is, she's a human being I had to first blend in with them and look like one of them. I had to look for their clothes because the clothes I was wearing were not for these people. Being about a hundred feet above the ground I'm sure no one will see me unless of course they're looking for me. I saw a man walking in a lonely lane so I followed him. Will it be wrong if I stole his clothes and left him naked?
I flew myself closer to the ground and when I landed it seems the man heard me because he turned around to look at me. I made sure to hide my wings right after landing so he didn't even get a glimpse of them.
"Who are you?" he asked sticking his hand into his pocket like he was about to pull out something.
I waited for him and he pulled out some metallic thing and pointed at me. Was he trying to hurt you with that? Fairies can't be hurt with that. It seemed like a handle and a small barrel that were connected with some pin like thing where his index finger was ready to press.
"I need to borrow your clothes." I said and he looked confused.
"I asked you who you are so don't try and act smart with me boy." he said in a warning tone.
I heard a loud clicking sound as he pulled on something on the barrel then he pointed the metallic object to my head specifically my forehead. I waited to see what he was going to do with it. Somehow I was curious. Did he really think it would hurt me? I want to see what kind of things the humans use to kill one another. I waited but he did nothing and said nothing.
"I need your clothes, please." I repeated my request to him hoping he would give them to me willingly because I didn't want to fight.
"I told you boy, who are you? Until you answer my question I can't just start stripping for you."
"I might be your worst nightmare so just give me the clothes please. I need to go now and follow someone. She might be sleeping right now."
"What are you? Some kind of sick pervert?! First you act gay by asking for my clothes and now you're talking about a lady. I'll report you to the police!"
"And I'll report you for violence." I retorted.
Who are the police? It doesn't really matter because it seems to have the man shaking. They must be powerful people if it had such an effect on him.
"So will you give me your clothes?" I as feeling hopeful now.
"In case you don't know boy, homosexuality is banned in your country so you'll be going to jail with me if you report. Pretend you never saw the gun, okay? We can come to an agreement; I'll get you some clothes. Just wait for me right here and I'll be back."
I waited for him but he never returned so I started to move. I flew up to the top of the building and looked at the building that the girl had gone into. Maybe I could follow her scent to the room she had gone into then I could find her. So I decided to do that. I looked back at the lonely lane that the man had been standing in and saw that he still hadn't come back. I have been lied to, how foolish of me to have believed that he would come back when he was trying to kill me with a...gun?
Her scent was strong around the building like she wasn't the only one with that scent. How was I going to find her now? If I had took in her scent for longer I would have been able to know her specific scent but all I knew was roses now so I had to find Rose; that's what I'll call her, Rose.
One of the lights went on and I went to to peep in through the window and it was her! So I didn't need her scent after all! She started undressing and then I looked away not wanting to be a pervert but I had to get in so I tapped on the window lightly and she looked up at it like she was surprised. Obviously at this height that no one could reach it was only fair. She couldn't clearly see me because of the translucent curtains. She cautiously walked towards the window and pulled apart the curtains and I was there. She moved back in shock like she had seen a ghost and I looked behind me just to make sure that thought was in accurate.
When I turned back she ran out of the room only to return shortly after with wooden smooth long stick with some rigid looking flabby sticks at the bottom part of it. I waited for her to open the window for me but she continued to study me. My wings were getting tired from all the flapping so I tapped on the window again to urge her to open it for me. When she did open it I rushed in through the window and fell flat on the ground because I was exhausted and so were my wings. They slowly retracted into my back and her eyes widened at this. She closed the window after taking a look outside then she looked back at me and I stared at her.
"Who are you?" she asked me pointing the stick at me.
"I'm a friend." I said wanting to be as friendly as possible because obviously my first answer to that man in the lane was unsatisfactory because it had scared him. "What you mean by a friend? I don't know you." "I am an unknown friend." I answered then I smiled at the end to make her feel more comfortable.
Her face contorted at my words and I wondered if I had offended her but she didn't say anything as she frowned at me. The room we were in was quite small with some kind of thing with a hole in it and a square basin above it and in the left corner was a long rectangular shaped thing that had a depression in it and in the right corner was some long metallic stick like barrel with a flat square at the tip and it had holes in it.
"What's that?" I asked her pointing at the circular thing with a hole in it and square basin above it.
"Toilet?" She answered in a questioning tone.
"I'm very sorry to have intruded but I really need your help. I'm running from someone and I need somewhere to hide for a few days. Would you be my asylum for the next few days, please."
"Did you kill someone?" she asked getting worried.
"No." I quickly answered because I hadn't killed anyone but someone close to me had been killed by someone else who was close to me and it is that person that I was running from because he also wanted to kill me and this was the only place I could call home; for now at least.
"You won't hurt me will you 'cause I'll be going home tomorrow. You won't hurt my dad either will you?"
"I don't hurt people so don't worry." I assured her.
I was harmless until harmed so she and her father would be safe as long as they didn't harm me.
