"I swear to God, if this is going to happen every other minute when we get into the outer world, I'mma end up going rogue, even if you guys would be over there to bind me and all. I can't handle this amount of cheesiness, to be honest." Jude sighed as he said that.
"Ah, so you are a hater, huh?" Persephone pouted as she said that.
"Yea, I'm a hater. I'm the kind of guy who will do his best to ruin someone's date if they seem extremely happy. I'm the kind of person who will fake call their best friend in a girl's voice just so his new girlfriend could hear it and get freaked out and all." Jude looked really frustrated as he said that.
"Well, well... I guess they don't call you evil for nothing." Hades shrugged as he said that.
"Yea, and I will do the same to you if you aren't going to behave over there." Jude spoke.
"You seem quite haughty when you are just a sliver of soul right now. We are actual Gods, you know? We have the power to destroy your puny soul whenever we feel like it!" Hades gave out a sharp look towards Jude as he said that.
"Do it! Do it, then. I mean, I don't care. Destroy my soul. Make sure that I won't be reincarnated in some other world and all. Hell, don't leave a single trace of me. It's not like I'm particularly interested in traveling to the other world and all, you know? It's you guys who want me to do it and all." Jude shrugged as he spoke.
"..." Hades was dumbfounded for a moment. He didn't expect Jude to behave the way he did. The usual evil people that set foot in the underworld are really greedy about their lives and they try their best to weasel their way to getting reincarnated into another world and all. However, Jude seemed to possess no such dreams. Instead, he was quite content with his soul getting destroyed forever. It was truly an eye-opening event for Hades. "No wonder why you are the most evil person to ever exist." He mumbled.
"What are you talking about?" Persephone turned towards her husband and asked.
"Well, nothing." Hades decided not to talk about it at that point. "Anyhow, I assure you that things like this won't be happening. We are going to be real professionals about it. Trust me on that." He turned towards Judas as he spoke.
"I hope that will be the case," Jude mumbled. "So, how are we going to do this then?" He asked.
"Here's the thing. There are about hundreds of people that die in each second. So, we're just gonna choose a random dead person's body for you to occupy." Hades replied.
"That's it? I mean, aren't you worried about the fact that someone might recognize the dead person? Don't you think that's gonna bring a sheer amount of chaos?" Jude asked.
"Hmm, I didn't think about it that way... Well, let's reduce the number of potentially suitable bodies into orphans with no social skills then." Hades spoke.
"I mean, that isn't any better if you think about it. Like, just because a person is an orphan and he lacks the social skills, doesn't mean that there aren't people that wouldn't recognize that person!" Jude argued.
"Argh! I don't care. We'll try hiding your face or something like that. We'll discuss this when we get to the outer world." Hades seemed really frustrated as he said that.
"Fine. You do it your way. I just wanted to chime in with my opinion, that's all." Jude shrugged as he said that.
"Well, your statements are valid, but I feel like the council of Gods would probably have prepared something for you in advance, to be honest." It was Persephone who spoke up this time around.
"Yea, that's totally possible as well." Hades nodded his head in agreement at that point.
"Cool, then. What about the contract process then? Were you done with it? Or is it still left?" Jude asked.
"Ah, we kinda forgot about that in the midst of all this talk, huh?" Hades chuckled as he turned towards his wife.
"Yea, and that was supposed to be the most important thing." Persephone smiled.
And in the next few minutes, they set up the contract, which essentially bound Hades and Persephone to Jude until he successfully completes his task. And once he is done with it, the contract will double up and if Jude were to show any resistance, he would be forcefully dragged back into the underworld. It was pretty much a simple contract, but it was made much more complicated by all the sub-clauses in it.
"...Are we done then?" Jude, who had his eyes closed the entire time, slowly opened his eyes when he heard no chanting on the couple's part, and asked.
"Yea, we are." Hades nodded his head.
"Great. What's going to happen now?" Jude asked.
"Now, we depart before someone else realizes that we are leaving." Hades smiled as he started emitting a blinding light.
"What's going on?" Jude cried.
"Just enjoy the show. Well, maybe don't, because it could literally damage your soul if you look into it too much." Hades shrugged as he said that.
"Why didn't you tell me that beforehand?" Jude cried yet again.
"Well, that's cuz you never asked," Hades replied.
"How would I have-" Before Jude got the opportunity to finish his sentence, he felt himself being teleported to a whole another realm.
#
"Open your eyes, dude. Just get up!" Jude could hear Hades shouting at him, but it was too difficult for him to do that. He tried his best to do that, but every time he tried opening his eyes, he felt as if something was weighing his eyes down.
"What's going on? I can't open my eyes!" Jude mumbled.
"Oh, give it some time then. You're probably getting used to it now." Hades chuckled as he said that.
