"What's going on?" Jude asked as he saw Hades laugh like a maniac.
"Well, well, well... I just hope that you won't be swallowing your words back now." Hades continued laughing before he suddenly stopped. "So, the system that you are allotted, yea? It's not the usual one. Rather than it being a system that gives rewards to the players, this one simply monitors the player, aka you. Which means that you will get nothing for doing any tasks the system asks you to do, other than some congratulatory words." He spoke.
"... Ha, well, I guess that it makes sense. I mean, they should only give rewards to the heroes to be honest. And I'm not one." Jude mumbled.
"At least you realize that." Hades replied.
"And I'm not gonna ask you for any help or anything. So, you don't have to worry about that, if you were. I made the conscious choice of making fun of you, and I deserve to get punished for making fun of a God. So, yea." Jude shrugged as he spoke.
"So, you're not gonna grovel at our feet and ask for my forgiveness or anything?" Hades looked quite surprised as he asked.
"Not really. I may be an asshole, but I have my own creed, dude." Jude replied.
"Wow, I did not expect that from you. That is not that villainous of you, to be honest. I mean, the usual set of suspects would've been crying by my feet asking me to help them and all, then do a complete turn after I end up helping them and all." He spoke.
"Well, I told you already. I don't have their aspirations. I mean, wouldn't they have cried at you, asking not to send them to hell and all as well?" Jude asked.
"I guess so." Hades nodded his head.
"But I won't. I already told you that. I'll gladly accept my fate and if it is hell, that would be because I deserve it." Jude spoke.
"Hmm..." Persephone looked perplexed as she heard what Jude had to say.
"I gotta say, man... I quite rate you as the villain." Hades muttered.
"Thank you." Jude chuckled at that point.
Hades gave out a loud sigh at that point. "Ha, man! This is so unfair! I mean, I was supposed to berate you and do some sort of happy dance and then ditch you over here, and now it wouldn't feel that nice." He spoke.
"Well, well... Do what you want to. I mean, I'm not gonna stop you or anything." Jude replied.
"This, yea? This is exactly what's stopping me. I mean, you and your strange methods to guilt-trip me and all!" Hades cried.
"I'm being extremely honest when I say that I'm not trying to guilt-trip you or something." Jude spoke.
"Even if you are saying the truth, now I can't be leaving your side now because that would mean that you would be winning the argument." Hades replied.
"Then I'm glad to have you by my side." Jude smiled.
"Ha, that smile! Hell, your entire plan! You are truly evil, aren't you?" Hades asked.
"Honey, I don't think he has shown his evil side yet, to be honest." Persephone shrugged as she said that.
"Hmm, I don't know, girl... He's been showing quite the signs of being evil!" Hades was adamant about that.
"If you say so." Persephone couldn't help but shrug at that point.
"Anyhow..." Hades turned his attention back towards Jude at this point. "What do you want from us, then?" He asked.
"As I said, you can help me in whatever way you want. I'll be thankful anyway." Jude replied. "But if you were to give me an actual choice, I would ask you to fix my appearance because everything else could be mended by sheer strength and effort." He spoke.
"Ha..." Hades sighed. "You asked for the thing that might be the only thing that's impossible for us." He spoke.
"Hmm. If that's the case, I'm fine with anything." He spoke.
"Although...." Persephone was keen to interfere at that point. "If you were to somehow get to Proteus' treasure, then you could have something in your hands." She mumbled.
"Oh, that's true. I didn't even think about it, to be honest." Hades seemingly agreed with what she said as well.
"Okay, who's Proteus? I mean, I know that they are supposed to be a God like you, but I'm asking for their particular post or specialty per se." Jude spoke.
"He's a sea God." Hades replied.
"... And how is a sea God's treasure gonna help me with my appearance?" Jude asked about what confused him the most.
"Well, here's the thing. Even though being the sea God is supposedly his main thing, the thing he is the most famous about is his shapeshifting abilities. Now, I hope you understand what this would mean." Persephone was the one who explained it for him.
"I mean, had you read about the Greek mythos when you were back on Earth, you wouldn't have had such doubts, to be honest." Hades shrugged as he spoke.
"As if I knew that something like this was gonna happen." Jude scoffed as he said that. "Anyhow, so this treasure is gonna let me shape-shift?" He asked.
"Yea. Although I haven't seen his treasure work on humans though. So, I don't know if there are any restrictions placed in it and all." Persephone replied.
"Well, even if there are human restrictions, it's not like that's going to affect me." Jude spoke. "So, how am I supposed to find this treasure?" He asked again.
"Ah, you should really be thinking before you speak, you know? I mean, if it's the sea God's treasure, it's bound to be in or near the sea, right?" Hades shrugged as he spoke.
"You're right. I should've probably thought about it." Jude nodded his head as he spoke.
"But there's a problem though." Persephone spoke.
"What is it?"
"You're gonna have to make it to the treasure by yourself. Your efforts won't be appreciated if you were to get help from us, and you might lose out on the treasure." Persephone warned him.
