Susan didn't know if Derek was sincere or just messing around.
She wanted to believe he was messing around but the look in his eyes spelt sadness. It was already enough that she made him sad, she didn't want him to regret taking her out of the mansion.
She moved her hand behind her only to get cut by the edge of the wash bowl.
"Ouch!" She looked at her hand, it was bleeding.
Derek instantly caught the scent and almost lost control. His eyes turned red die to the influence of her blood but he quickly regained himself and his eyes returned to normal.
"Tsk!" He tsked and brought out an handkerchief from his pocket. Sure enough, it was dangerous to leave her alone, even for a second. "How did you become so clumsy?"
Susan turned to the sink, backing Derek and put on the tap.
"I'm fine!" She said while rinsing the blood. "It's just a cut."
"No matter big or small, you still ended up bleeding." He said and she turned, their eyes met.
"That's..." Her words were lost.
