Father Asher gazed at the sleeping figure in front of him, he thought he started to understand the sister, he thought he can tell who she is, but after witnessing all that unfold in front of him, he doesn't know anymore.
Who is she?
What is she?
Where did she come from?
And how did she end up... Here?
"What are you?" He mumbled.
The next few days, things were back to normal. Hun didn't attract any type of attention, he tried to avoid them at all costs since his body was still recovering after making contact with the two Archangels.
Speaking of the Archangels, things weren't good on their side. Archangel Uriel's health wasn't as they hoped for, even Archangel Raphael was left helpless.
Archangel Gabriel asked Archangel Michael to ask God for a cure or a way to control her symptoms, but he'd avoid it, every single time. Archangel Raphael stood from his seat and gave the two Archangels a helpless head shake.
"For this heaven's sake Michael!! Talk with God about this!" Archangel Michael kept walking not giving Archangel Gabriel any attention. He wants to do as she said so badly but he can't, he's not able to.
"Michael!!!" He held his sword and stabbed the wall beside them, "Archangel Gabriel, I have to warn you, you are crossing boundaries you're not allowed to" she glared back at the black smoke coming from Archangel Michael's eyes, "I don't care what made your eyes turn to such dangerous state, but I have to warn you as a fellow warrior... You're putting yourself in grave danger"
"I already am" he mumbled making the two in front of him shiver.
"Wh- What did you do Michael?" He looked at them helplessly before he put his sword back in its sheath and walk to direction he aims to.
The 6th heaven is where those of pure souls gather, he flew his way there searching for certain human. When his eyes found him, he landed and walked toward him, "Adam?"
"Oh? Look who we have here! How are you Archangel Michael? It's been a while~"
"Yes, Adam. It sure has been" Adam stared at him but a sense inside him made an eyebrow rise in question. "Haha, I guess you will never miss a thing, eh?"
"No, Michael. You're the open book here. Even a blind person can tell something's wrong. Who is it about?"
"Uriel" he mumbled. Adam stared at him in pity making the Archangel question his choice of the person to tell all that. "I'm all ears and I hope you won't leave anything out because every piece of information would affect my insight toward the problem at hand"
"You don't need to tell me." He chuckled and shook his head. He did come to the right person.
Back to Earth, Hun was adjusting to his current stat, but things weren't easy for him yet. His body gets exhausted fast, and he can barely use his energy as if the core inside him that contains divine energy has shrunk. The source of that problem is still unknown.
All wings tried to find out anything about it but all in vain, as if it's far from earthly and divine power, something stronger, something... "Darker..."
"So this is the conclusion you've reached?" Hun stared at the priestess with teary eyes.
"I'm really sorry Hun but that's all we can do. If the holy power Archangels Michael and Gabriel couldn't deal with indirectly, then that's the only option left"
"But what demon is willing to give its energy to grow a core of a previously divine being? They'd probably try to steal the core instead and leave Hun to die" Father Asher shuts Hun's ears so he doesn't hear the last part, the little demon doesn't need any more depressing thoughts inside his small head.
"I can just feed on human's energy" they all turned to look at Hun in horror. The ideas that rolled in their minds made their faces twist to an expression of disappointment.
"I didn't mean THAT type of energy" the little demon chuckled hiding his smile behind his small hand, "I can feed on any type of evil energy, hatred, anger, lust, even nightmares!"
While everyone was listening attentively to what Hun was saying, Father Asher was busy thinking of something else, 'cute' he thought with his imaginary tail wagging with excitement and his cheeks slightly blushing.
"If that's possible then why don't we go with that for now?" Archangel Gabriel's first wing said excitedly.
"Need I remind you his evil core was taken away for purification?" the Priestess rose an eyebrow.
"... Oh"
Uriel's first wing turned to look at Hun with a warm smile. "and let us not forget, this place is empty from all evil thoughts and actions"
Hun looked perplexed trying to understand things, "if this place has nothing under the category of evil, then could you explain why I can still sense that kind of energy?"
"What do you mean?" Saintess Jane halted pouring the water for Hun and turned to look at him.
"I mean it as you heard it. Ever since I entered this place, evil energy didn't subside" Father Asher held his chin and looked at the wings in disappointment, "some of the candidates aren't fit to become Wings"
"This is a matter we can't ignore" Saintess Jane said breathlessly, "Hun? Can you do something about this?" He flinched, took a few steps back then shook his head after hiding his hands behind his back.
"Why?" She asked worriedly.
"Don't get me wrong Saintess, I want to help you but... I'm not allowed to make changes to humans' future. I'm a devil after all-" He started while changing his form to the devil one, "- Any changes I make would have great and most times terrible consequences to the cycle of life to most humans, those I'm supposed to change and those who have nothing to do with it"
His thin and tall tail started wiggling, "I have a destructive power Saintess, a one that could ruin lives" his black polished nails showed up and his skin revealing clothes finally appeared. Leaving those in the room speechless and mesmerized by the view in front of them.
"No wonder you're a devil, you're the definition of temptation" Archangel Gabriel's first wing said with a hand on her chin and a smirk plastered on her face.
"See?" He pointed making all those in the room giggle and laugh.
Saintess Jane sighed and gave the young demon a sad smile, "I understand, thank you for letting us know of all that Hun. Thanks to you, we got to know how strong demons and devils could be... And how harder our mission is turning out to be..."
Hun pursed his lips and gulped before he rose his head and stare at everyone in the room, everyone's expression turned serious and silence filled the place awaiting to hear what the devil has to say, "Back in the days, when I was residing in hell. There was something I remember hearing from older demons... Humans have devils scarier than us"
The Saintess and Wings in the room gave weak chuckles, sighs and shaking heads, the Saintess finally decided to speak, "let me elaborate those stories you've heard, little demon. Humans... sigh, do have devils worse than you. That's why some people count scary or called demons, it's because of the amount of cruelty they have that even a devil would worry and pity the victim receiving those types of energies"
"We..." She kept going after sitting down, "hmm, we are from clay, what makes a clay is water, and sand, and if you're planning to shape it, you use fire. Devils are created from fire so; we have that side in us."
"And that's why being good is not easy, yet it's easy to be the opposite," concluded Father Asher.
"Humans are complicated creatures" Hun pouted, while the others laughed. "Well, even we still struggle with each other, haha!" The Saintess assured him
