After the Turners left, Rue called butler Charles. "They signed the papers. " She said immediately the call got connected.
"Is that how you greet your elder?" Butler Charles asked.
"We spoke this morning. " Rue replied. "Anyways send my message to Ava." She said before ending the call.
"Tch! So rude. " Butler Charles said he walk toward the dinning room to check if the table was set. Ava can wake up anytime soon. And it would be bad if the servants were still running around trying to set everything right. She hates noise and they know that, so they made sure they were done with their chores before she wakes up.
Satisfied that everything was in order, he dismissed all the servants before going to Ava's room.
"Young miss, your supper is ready." Charles said as he gently knocked on Ava's door. After some minutes, the door opened and Ava stepped out. As usual, the room was silent until Ava finished her food.
"The issue with the Turners has been settled. " Charles started. "Chairman Lee requested your presence at his office tommorow." He signaled the maids to clear the table as Ava was done eating.
"Reasons." Ava's lips twitched.
"None given young miss." Charles said as he bowed his head. "But I think the young miss should go." Charles didn't raise his head when he spoke. Even though the young miss respected him, he knew she wouldn't hesitate to get rid of him.
"Who wants to be a millionaire is in season now. Maybe Charlie should register and use his brain to its full capacity. " She said sarcastically before leaving the room. Charles sighed on relief as Ava left the room. He knew he had cross the boundary because Ava doesn't like anyone making a decision for her. Charles shoulder hunched in fatigue for the days ahead. If his young miss eventually find out what the chairman had done, she was going to flip and it won't be good for anybody as mood wasn't the best since yesterday.
"What's wrong old man. Why do look as if you carry the weight of the world on your shoulder. " Maxwell, one of Ava's bodyguard spoke. He was just coming from the young misstress' room and he happened to see this prideful old man looking so dejected.
"The weight of the world will still fall on each and everyone of our shoulders." Charles replied without sparing him a glance. Maxwell's face scrunched up in confusion.
"Has this old man finally lost his mind?" He whispered as he stared at Charles hunched back. Shaking his head, he left to carry out the new task assigned to him.
That night Ava didn't visit her heaven, instead she went to her sercet lab located underground. The lab was equipped with different kind of technologies varying from AIs to ammunitions, potions and deadly poisons that she created herself. The lab is very wide and was divided into different sections for different purpose. There were large test tube and inside it was ranging from humans to animals that were either dead or partially alive. The tubes were filled with green liquid that preserved what was inside. The section where Ava was where the tubes were kept so it gave a chilling and creepy feeling.
But Ava didn't feel creeped out in there instead she felt more at ease as she mixed some potions together. She looked serious as she poured a greenish liquid inside another beaker that contained white liquid. When she was done, she took off her google and the white gloves on her hands.
"Weldone miss. " A feminine voice that sounded exactly like hers spoke.
"Hm. Pack them up nicely." Ava said as she left that section. She walked through a brightly lit hallway that had doors on each side. The doors were like the walls so it would be hard for an intruder to tell the difference but it wasn't so for Ava as she was the one who built this place. When she got to the end of the hall, another door automatically opened and Ava stepped inside.
As Ava entered, the room lighted up and Mirror's voice echoed in the room. "Everything is ready and location of the target has been determined. "
"Hm." Ava's reply was short. She walked towards a small podium that is circular in shape and when she stepped on, it red lights immediately appeared, circling her body before it started moving up. And as it moved Ava's clothes slowly changed into an all black body-hugging cloths. It was an automatic dressing machine that not only change your clothes but also apply make-up along with others accessories to beautify you. It was one of the many technology Ava created for herself as she was lazy to dress herself.
"Lower the lights." Ava said as she made her way to the center of the room.
"Sorry miss." Immediately the room became dim. "Is this to your liking? " Mirror asked. Ava hummed in satisfaction as she sat down on the chair. Immediately she settled down, Miŕror began speaking of the mission and about the person she was going to meet.
Ava relaxed on the chair with her eyes closed as she listened to Mirror's briefing. "That's all to know about the target. " Mirror said after she was done telling Ava the important details. "Good luck miss." There was no reply as she left the room.
Inside the garage of the villa, Charles stood waiting for his mistress. When he saw her, he immediately bowed his head till she stood in front of him. "Here is the keys to your motorcycle. " Charles opened his palms waiting for her to take the keys.
Ava sighed. "If you want to break your back , don't do it in my presence. Though I'd love a good show." Her lips curled up in mirth as she spoke. Charles immediately raised his head up. The aura around the young miss was dark and filled with restrained blood lust. When Charles raised his head, his young miss was no longer standing in his front. She was almost at the exit of the garage. How she got there , he didn't know nor did he bother to ask questions. "Your keys young miss." He said as he hurriedly moved to where she was standing.
"I think the weather is nice." Those words made Charles stop in his steps. He his mouth opened before closing. "Okay miss."
"Keep it on standby. Just in case. " Ava said. Her voice wasn't loud but he could hear clearly without having to strain his ears as the wind brought her voice to him.
The night was becoming quiet as the world was slowly falling asleep. A shadow moved along with the wind giving chills to whoever it passes. The wind blew strongly and a lightening struck in the sky even though there was not a sign of storm. It gave off an ominous feeling.
