Seth smirked. "Do you think you can stop us if we want to harm him." He tilted his head and stared at Jack as if he were a little boy.
"You wouldn't dare," Jack retorted then he smiled. "Because you wouldn't want to spoil whatever you were sent here to do." Seth smiled widely as he nod his head. "I like him." He said to Alvin.
Alvin didn't respond to Seth. He was still staring at chairman Lee who had a calm expression. The knock on the door lessened the tension in the room. "Mr Jack I have brought the refreshments you order." Jack then went to get the door. He came back with the maid so she can serve the snacks. The maid was scared, the atmosphere inside the room was suffocating. She quickly finished her work and left the room.
The room was silent for a while as they all stared at each other. Seth was the first to speak. "Are we just gonna stare at each other all day?" He asked with a playful smile hanging on his lips then he took one cookies and threw it into his mouth. He was an easygoing person, so all this tension was boring to him.
It looked as if Seth's voice broke the ice bringing everyone out of their thoughts. Jack cleared his throat before speaking. " You were talking about a proposal." He directed his question to Alvin as he served chairman Lee some tea.
"I wasn't talking to you. " Alvin said coldly watching their movements.
"It doesn't matter, just say why you are here and leave." Jack sneered.
Ignoring him, Alvin faced chairman Lee. "This are documents that explain the proposal in details. " He said handing over a black file to chairman Lee.
"What kind of proposal are we talking about?" He asked as he scan through the file. The benefits where too much for just a simple business proposal. He isn't even as rich as his granddaughter, so why would they offer this kind of deal to him.
"A marriage proposal. " Alvin replied coolly. But what he said made Jack and chairman Lee froze.
"A marriage proposal? " Jack said in bewilderment. "To who? You? Oh hell no!" He said with a frown making Seth laugh.
"Why? Aren't we good enough for your young miss?" Seth asked.
"In your dreams." Jack said in irritation. Chairman Lee quietly listened to their banter. He stared at Alvin who was still looking composed. "Who are you standing for." He asked Alvin.
"The last prince of Vermont Empire." Alvin said with an obvious pride in his voice. Jack's eyes widened in surprise. The Vermont Empire is a well-known country. It was ruled by royals who are very secretive of their identities. Not everyone can enter the Empire as they like regardless of who you are. Even the president of US needs an invitation from the royal family before he would be allowed to enter the Empire.
' So this man was from Vermont Empire.' Jack thought as he stared at Alvin with a frown. "What does the Lees has to do with Vermont Empire?" Jack asked not liking where this topic was going. The royals of Vermont were very secretive.
"I don't think it concerns you, young man. " Alvin said coldly. He didn't like how Jack was interrupting him. Jack snorted but he didn't say anything even if he wanted to because he could sense chairman Lee's irritation with his behavior. But he couldn't help it, he just doesn't like this people especially after learning of their identities.
"Does your prince know that his father has already proposed the same thing to me on behalf of the fourth prince." Chairman Lee asked Alvin.
"He knows and that's why we are here." Alvin said "And you and I know that you don't want it. " He spoke nonchalantly.
"Ohh! Right! Then who does he want to marry. Is it my Rue or my Marcy?" Chairman Lee asked cheerfully. Alvin frowned in response. He knew what the old man was doing mentioning the other ladies' names. He also noticed that he didn't mention Ava's name.
"You know who we are talking about. " Alvin spoke rigidly. He didn't like the fact that Chairman Lee wasn't taking them serious.
"Who were you talking about then." Chairman Lee tilted his head in confusion wandering 'who' was missing. He knew that Alvin and Seth won't fall for it, but he was enjoying the subtle change in their expressions. "Well I don't know who you are talking about but I won't decide for either of them. The decision will be left for the person you choose. " He wasn't going to make a decision for for anybody. "Tell your prince that if he wants to get married then he would have to convince his bride." He said with a straight face.
"He is already doing that." Alvin said as he stood up. "We would take your leave now." He gave a curt nod and head towards the door. Seth followed suit not before irritating Jack. "Bye grandpa, bye lil' bro." He waved at them with a bright smile before leaving the room.
"Gr... Grandpa..? lil' bro? What the fuck is wrong with that guy." Jack yelled. While elder Lee chuckled at his reaction. "So, what are you going to do about the proposal? " He asked.
"What can I do? " Chairman Lee said lazily.
"Aren't you going to inform miss Ava?" He asked asked again.
"Did they say that it's Ava they want." Chairman Lee said with a mysterious smile.

"Grandpa is very funny trying to trick us like that, " Seth said. They were already inside the car. "Do we look stupid?" He snorted as he started the car.
"I don't know about you but I don't." Alvin said with slightly crease brows. "And what's with the name calling. Grandpa? When did you become close to them?" He asked.
Ignoring Alvin's remark about him being stupid, Seth said. "What? I'm just getting used to it. Afterall we would soon be one big family." There was a childish grin on his face. "You should try it." He said to Alvin before driving away.
It was only the two of them that came as the mission was hidden from the others. Plus they were the only ones the prince could trust with such a task or anything at all. As they zoomed along the express, Alvin sent a message to the prince.
'It's done.'
Somewhere in the city inside a luxurious room, a man with grey eyes was standing in front of a ceiling to floor wall made of glass. He was enjoying the sunset with a glass of red wine in his hands.
When he saw the message from Alvin, he smirked. "I'm coming for you my little rose. Just wait a little longer." He said in a low voice. An unknown glint flashed in his eyes as drank his wine.
