"It's better I speak with Lucifer now. The earlier the better." Lothaire said with a serious look as he got up to leave and Larisa's face had a saddened look on it.
"Be careful.." She said in a whispering tone and he gave her a small smile before leaving. She set out to look for Onyx as she strode through the corridor.
"Larisa!" She heard Onyx's voice call out her name behind her and she whipped her head around to meet the smiling face of Onyx with bright blue eyes shining at her.
"Hi Onyx." She said with a smile on her face as she was truly happy to meet Onyx.
"We've brought Laverna back." Onyx informed her suddenly and she nodded.
"Lothaire told me." She said.
"She might be able to help with your nightmares and figure out the source soon." Onyx said as they approached the garden.
"I hope so but how would she know?" Larisa asked with a concerned expression.
"I don't know but she's very powerful so it won't be a problem for her." Onyx replied as she removed the thorns from the white rose and plucked it. She gave the white rose to Larisa who accepted it and brought it close to her nose as she inhaled the sweet scent.
"Lothaire told me about the war that's coming with the sorcerers." Larisa said with creased brows.
"Oh! You don't have to worry love, everything will be fine with Lothaire, his father and Laverna around to help protect you." Onyx said with an unsure small laugh. If anything would happen to Larisa during the war, then they would all be doomed because their safety meant nothing to Lothaire and even though Avian wouldn't die, she would and he would be left in eternal pain no matter how cold hearted he seemed.
"I'm not so sure I'll live either, even Lothaire was worried." Larisa said with a sad voice as she looked down in sadness.
"Don't say that, no matter what, I know Lothaire would never let anything happen to you." Onyx assured her with a heartwarming smile but Larisa had her doubts.
"Could you teach me how to fight then? So I could at least protect myself." Larisa said and Onyx looked at her surprised by her words.
"I'm not sure Lothaire would be happy about Me stressing you out, you know how overprotective he is...." Onyx was interrupted by Felix as he came to their view.
"She has the right to make her own decisions without Lothaire's interference." Felix said as he neared locking his gaze with Larisa.
"But Lothaire is..." Onyx was again interrupted by Larisa.
"Yes, Lothaire's very hard to deal with but Felix is right, it's my decision. I can't watch everyone risking their life to protect me while I sit in a corner and watch." She said with determination but Onyx was in no position to be in Lothaire's bad side if she hurt his mate in the slightest way possible.
"So you want to fight the creatures?" Onyx asked with an disbelieving laugh.
"Of course not, I just want to be able to protect myself in case something happens." Larisa explained.
"Well I'm not going to be in Lothaire's bad side so, No! I won't teach you but you can ask Felix to teach you since he's already Lothaire's eternal enemy." Onyx said referring to Felix who squinted his eyes at her.
"I and Lothaire aren't enemies, we just have a complicated friendship." Felix said and Onyx laughed hysterically at his words.
"Fine, but I'll get going now and avoid the wrath of Lothaire." Onyx said warily.
"He's not going to do anything to you, I promise." Larisa pleaded.
"I'm not taking any chances with him, but Felix can teach you." Onyx said as she pointed toward Felix.
"With all pleasure." He said with a smile.
"Have fun." Onyx said as she walked away and Larisa watched her red hair dance in the wind till she disappeared.
"So..Are you ready?" Felix asked as a beautiful silver sword manifested in his hands and Larisa's eyes widened in awe.
"Is it sword fighting?" Larisa asked as he gave her the sword which she took from him but the moment she held it, the weight of the sword almost pulled her down but she hardened her grip on it and managed to hold it.
"We don't have much time so we'll go straight to sword fighting." He said as he stood close to her and supported her hold on the sword, making it light for her.
"The sword's heavy, can't you make it any lighter?" She complained and Felix chuckled lightly. He hovered his hand above the sword and he stopped supporting her hold on the sword but it became as light as a feather.
"Why didn't you do that before?" Larisa asked with widened eyes as she effortlessly swung the sword around playfully.
Felix taught Larisa the basics of sword fighting for some time and she quickly caught up the steps which impressed Felix but it was getting dark soon and she looked tired so they had to end the training for the day.
"Was I good?" Larisa asked like a girl waiting to hear the praises of her teacher.
"You're a fast learner and it's pretty impressive." Felix said with an impressed expression and she grinned happily at his words.
"I'll get better within a week." She said but Felix's expression turned into a grim one.
"We might not have a week." Felix said and she became worried knowing that it was only a matter of days before the war with the sorcerers would begin and the thought made her stomach churn.
"How do you know that?" Larisa asked curiously.
"Avian told me they tested the creatures on them, so it won't take long before they attack us." Felix explained and she shuddered in slight fear with heart beating faster than a panther's.
Larisa walked through the hall looking lost in her thought as she headed to the room when a gust of wind brushed past her. It felt eerie and strange that she couldn't shake the feeling off. She looked around but there was no one around and she continued walking when she heard familiar faint voice whispering distantly and she recognized it as the voice that called out her name in her recent nightmare. She became wary of the voice because it was definitely suspicious but deep down, she was curious to know where the voice was coming from and who it belonged to. She took slow steps as she followed the direction of the whispering voices which led her to places she had never went to before, so she explored. The deeper she went, the more eerie and darker it became but she couldn't seem to turn back because she figured that whatever was whispering would be connected to her nightmares and she could figure out who was behind it. She reached an even darker corridor with not a hint of light and she wanted to go back because she was too scared to go into the creepy corridor but the torches on the walls immediately lit up with purplish flames, making the corridor bright for her to see a door at the end and she jumped backward in fright. She fluttered her eyelashes totally confused on how the torches lit up by themselves and the flames were strangely purplish in colour and she pondered if it was a good idea to continue but she did anyway. She walked past the torches as she stared at it in wonder and stood in front of the door, with hands shaking as she touched the door knob, about to open the door when she felt Strong arms on her hands and she shrieked in fear as she turned around to meet Lothaire. Apart from noticing Lothaire, she noticed the flames on the torches were a bright red instead of purple and her brows creased with widened eyes.
"What?!"
