"Speak of the Devil and he walks right in." Laverna drawled as a mischievous grin reached both ends of her cheeks and Larisa's spine froze when her eyes met Lucifer. He was as breathtaking as Lothaire but his blood curdling, dark aura was too terrifying for the fragile girl it seemed as if she would faint at any moment. He was a dangerous replica of Lothaire but his long black hair was the only difference but even if he had short hair, she could clearly tell the difference because of how evil emanated from his body as he blended with the darkness like they were one and the air around him spoke of nothing but pure evil. Lothaire had the same dark and evil aura as his father but she felt safe with him and she could feel the warmth in his eyes when he looked at her unlike his Father whom spoke of nothing but evil and threat and his golden eyes held no signs of warmth, only of cold darkness.
He walked up to them in a majestic way and every move he made felt threatening even though he hadn't even made a threat yet. He was wearing a luxurious black coat with gold designs and black pants with black leather boots. Every thing about him spoken of darkness and royalty but he was royalty in hell. Larisa saw his golden eyes lock gaze with her for a few seconds and she shuddered in fear as she got sucked in his cold, flaming golden eyes which were exactly like Lothaire's but totally different because it lacked warmth and void of emotions.
"I thought I'd never get to meet your breed mate." Lucifer's ice cold deep voice rang in their ears with the most expressionless face she had seen.
"You're not here to exchange pleasantries, you're only here to protect her." Lothaire said coldly as he glowered at Lucifer and Larisa could hear the deep hatred in his voice for his Father.
"I'll do my best to protect her and you'll fulfill your side of the bargain." Lucifer said as a devilish grin cut through his face making him look even more deadlier than before and Larisa gulped.
"You're scaring the poor child, she's already turning pale." Laverna drawled as she looked at Larisa in a pitiful way.
"Am I, Larisa?" He asked in a dark tone even though he wasn't trying to scare her, Larisa's breath hitched in fear when his dark gaze locked with hers and she quickly averted her gaze from his as she pressed her lips in a thin line since words failed to form. "Let's exchange pleasantries then. I'm Lucifer." He said with a beautiful smile which also looked terrifying as he reached his hand out to her but was violently flung away by Lothaire.
"Get your bloody hands away from her!" Lothaire growled as he shot a dangerous glare at Lucifer.
"That's no way to treat your Father." Lucifer said calmly, with no signs of anger on his face but only his stoic expression.
"Then don't ever touch her again with your filthy bloody hands. And for the record, I owe you no respect!" Lothaire said dangerously as he glared at Lucifer.
"As if your hands aren't soaked with the blood of the guilty and the innocent like mine." Lucifer calmly said with a deep voice as he stared at Lothaire with a stoic expression.
"I'm nothing like you!" Lothaire growled even though he knew he was just as dark and evil as his Father in the past when he didn't care about anyone until he met Larisa but still, he wasn't sure he could ever turn away from his dark sides.
"You are the prince of darkness, Son of the Ruler of hell. You're exactly like me....Or worse." Lucifer said calmly, taunting Lothaire who was at the verge of ripping his Father apart, his eyes blazed furiously at Lucifer as he growled at him, baring his sharp fangs but the moment he felt Larisa's small hand on his, he calmed down.
"You should watch the next word that comes out of your mouth." Lothaire warned, his golden eyes blazed hellishly as he glared at his Father and a sardonic smirk cut through Lucifer's lips as he turned to leave but the air still remained heavy and dark because of Lothaire's anger.
"What a beautiful Father and son moment." Laverna drawled as she laughed hysterically and disappeared out of their sight also.
"I'm sorry." Lothaire said apologetically when they stopped at the balcony as he looked at the fear stricken face of his fragile breed mate.
"You shouldn't be sorry, it's normal for any human to be scared of 'him'." She said with a small voice as she looked up at the dark sky.
"Let's take some fresh air." He said and a large pair of black wings sprouted from his back and she gasped in awe as she stared at his wings in admiration. Behind them, a pair of black eyes watched them from afar and a wicked grin crept to their lips.
With a swift movement, he carried her in his arms and she wrapped her arms around his neck as she buried her face in his chest and he soared through the sky, the cold air whipped through their bodies until they arrived at their secret garden.
Larisa could never get used to the brain twirling flight or the shilling air as they soared but she managed to keep her balance and they walked through the illusion wall in the cave and came out of the magical eerie garden. The feeling of being in the garden felt so surreal and peaceful even though it felt dark and eerie at the same time. They sat down on the grass covered floor near the lake in comfortable silence and Lothaire called for Lycan who soared high in the sky, whirling above them in circles, leaving Larisa perplexed before he came down beside them with a large thud which shook the earth, making Larisa startled as Lycan sat beside her, peering at her with it's golden eyes. Lothaire watched as Larisa lightly touched Lycan's scaly body and he noticed that even though she liked him, she was still scared of it exactly the same way she felt towards him too.
Larisa couldn't help but admire the gorgeous but frightening beast as it stared at her with it's golden eyes, peering through her soul. She touched it's scaly body feeling the incredible hardness which she was sure a bullet couldn't go through. The dragon was seated as stiff as a rock which gave her the courage to touch it because it wasn't moving but then it abruptly moved it's head slightly, which made her almost jump in fear as she quickly withdrew her hands from it, making Lothaire laugh loudly at her and when she stared at him, she was lost in his ethereal beauty. His golden eyes shone brighter than the sun, his inky lush hair flew back and his care free gorgeous face was surreal when he laughed with genuine happiness which made her feel a mixture of emotions because she wanted to see him happy every day, with not a care in the world, but would that be possible?
"It's not gonna hurt you love." She heard him say with his husky voice which jolted her back to reality.
"I know..I just got startled." She said, obviously lost in her thoughts but when Lycan growled lowly, her eyed widened and she moved closer to Lothaire and he chuckled lightly at her cuteness.
"It won't hurt you." Lothaire repeated.
"I know, it just startles me." Larisa said with a small smile and Lothaire smirked sarcastically. "You hate your Father so much, why?" Larisa asked curiously. She had wanted to talk to him about his Father until she was sure he was no longer angry enough to talk about 'him'.
"You don't have to worry about that?" Lothaire quickly replied. He was so secretive which was unbelievably annoying to her. Lothaire didn't have any problem telling her the reason he hated his Father so much but he just didn't want her to worry since he had already placed a workload of his problems on her.
"You know how much I hate it when you keep things from me, no matter how small they are." Larisa said and he felt guilty for a split second because he was keeping a huge one from her that he was sure she'd stab him in the heart if she ever knew.
"He never once saw me through out my childhood, until I killed the queen and her family and the only reason he came to see me was to make me rule the world and the underworld with him but I refused and then he wiped out half of the vampires species and I never saw him until now." Lothaire explained and Larisa had a glum look on her face because of how badly both his parents had treated him with no love, care or attention and how dark his childhood was. Larisa was about to say something but was interrupted by the sudden appearance of strange creatures out of thin air surrounding them and Lothaire immediately stood up defensively in front of Larisa along with Lycan who stood behind her protectively, baring it's sharp fangs as it growled ferociously at the strange creatures while Larisa shook in fear, confusion written on her face.
