"No!!!" The Queen screamed in agony as her daughter's bloody head rolled off the floor, the King's shoulders dropped in defeat as he lowered his head in sadness.
Larisa turned her face away, to avoid seeing the gory image of the headless corpse that was once Valerie. Even though she didn't like her, she couldn't help but feel pity for her mother who sobbed heavily as she sat on the floor in anguish. Felix patted her shoulder lightly as if he was comforting her but she knew it was because she was a weak human and he thought the sight was too horrid for her soft heart to take.
The next thing that happened made everyone's eyes widen in shock as Darius rushed over to Lothaire in a speed of light with anger and pain etched on every corner of his face. His grey eyes had turned bright red as he trudged forward to attack Lothaire in inhumane speed but Lothaire didn't move until he was two steps away from him when everyone had already thought Darius would be able to land a hit on him because of his speed, but he dodged his attack in the last minute and within a blink of an eye, Darius was seen pinned on the wall with one strong arm of Lothaire squeezing his neck and raising him above the floor but it didn't stop Darius from throwing out his anger.
"You didn't have to kill her you demon! She was just a kid!" Darius growled between gritted teeth in anger but Lothaire held not a bit of remorse in his eyes as he glared at him.
"She would have succeeded in wiping out the existence of vampires along with you and everyone else if Larisa was killed by those creatures, yet you act like I did something unfair by giving her the punishment she deserves, so you better keep those hands to yourself or your head will be rolling off next!" Lothaire threatened with fury burning in his golden eyes as he effortlessly flung Darius far away from him with one hand, making him collide with a wall and the effect created a large dent on it. Lothaire hadn't changed to his demonic form but his dark aura made the air spine chilling.
None of them had expected Darius to act on his emotions which was as good as useless because they had expected him to be straight headed in situations like this but it turned out he wasn't a rock after all and he felt pain too. Darius got up from the floor and his mother became alarmed that he was going to try and attack Lothaire again regardless of the threat, so she ran towards him as she wouldn't be able to watch another child of hers die in front of her sight.
"That's enough please, she's gone." His mother said with a hoarse voice as a result of all the heavy crying she had done but he ignored her and walked out of the room in silence and she followed after him, sobbing heavily as she took one last glance at her daughter's bloody corpse.
Larisa sat at the garden with Onyx beside her while Lothaire watched from afar keeping a close eye on her in case the sorcerers tried to attack again. Ever since the attack on her, he couldn't risk leaving her alone so he tend to stay by her side but he wanted to give her some alone time since her mind had been filled with bloody images with him in it and he hadn't meant to kill Valerie in front of her, but the wench was about to escape and he had been engulfed with immense anger after she tried to kill his breed mate so he couldn't help it but kill her then.
"Are you okay?" Onyx asked with a worried expression and Larisa turned to face her.
"I'd be lying if I said I was...If I never came here, then bad things wouldn't be happening and the sorcerers wouldn't be using me as a bait to cause your kind's extinction." Larisa blurted out, overwhelmed with guilt. She couldn't shake off the anguish and sorrow on the Queen's face as well as the King and Darius, she never liked Valerie but the pain of losing a child was deeply sorrowful and she couldn't imagine what kind of pain a mother would go through to see her child get murdered in front of her in cold blood and she didn't want to think about it that the person who gave such pain was Lothaire because it hurt her even more but still, she wanted to be beside him which would have been comforting since she couldn't blame him for getting rid of someone who tried to kill her and cause the extinct of her own kind without hesitation for her selfish reasons.
"He's your mate and you can't change the fact that you were destined to be with each other so it's not your fault." Onyx said, comforting her and Larisa couldn't help but stare at her gorgeous red hair dancing in the wind and she oddly wanted to brush her fingers in it.
"You always say what I want to hear but I actually feel better when you do." Larisa said with a smile and Onyx smiled back.
"It's actually the truth and I'm glad you feel better." Onyx said as she took her hand in hers, placing her other hand atop in comfort and she realized just how cold Onyx was but her touch felt warm with motherly affection.
"What about Avian?" Larisa asked, distracting her mind from the tiring problems that kept popping up one after the other.
"Well..I can say we're making progress since we've already started mating." Onyx said as a blush crept to her cheeks while she grinned.
"Oh..That's...Good to hear." Larisa said a bit startled by Onyx's outburst.
"What about you and Lothaire?" Onyx asked with a teasing expression and Larisa was a bit lost.
"What?" She asked in an unsure tone and Onyx let out a small laugh.
"Have you guys mated yet?" Onyx asked enjoying Larisa's shy expressions.
"Not really.." She said with a small voice and Onyx chuckled lightly, looking even more gorgeous when she laughed. "He's avoiding me because he thinks he's going to hurt me."Larisa continued and Onyx's eyes glinted mischievously.
"The more he avoids you, the more irresistable you try to become." Onyx said and Larisa paid attention to her, thinking she might help her out and give her a tip or two.
"How do I do that?" Larisa asked curiously, 'if Onyx could mate with her cold hearted breed mate who seemed to avoid her like a plague, why couldn't she?' she thought.
"Try to seduce him." Onyx replied shortly and she lost hope because she couldn't even flirt with a statue, talk less to seduce a man as seductive and gorgeous as Lothaire. He would probably seduce her instead so seduction was way out of the list for her.
"What? I can't, it's just impossible." Larisa said immediately and Onyx stared at her wide eyed.
"Are you shy? Is that the reason why? There's no need for you to be, he's your mate and trust me, you'll forget all about being shy when you guys get to it." Onyx said with an assuring expression and Larisa couldn't believe she was talking about this with her but it was surprisingly not as embarrassing as she'd have thought it to be.
"I'm not shy, I'm just really bad at seducing anyone." Larisa explained and Onyx had a pitiful expression on her face.
"That's why you have to learn it just like I did. I was once so meek and I never even thought I had it in me until I learnt and I put it to it's best use." Onyx advised and Larisa fluttered her eyelashes as she gave her words a thought, it wouldn't hurt if she tried, would it?
"Well...How do I learn?" Larisa asked and Onyx's blue eyes glimmed in excitement.
"You'll have to find your inner femme fatale." Onyx stated and Larisa just stared at her blankly. She had heard of the word but was she supposed to know what it meant? She didn't think so.
"What?" Larisa asked oblivious of what she had just said and Onyx let out a short chuckle.
"You still have a lot to learn." Onyx said as she settled to explain to her.
A pair of golden eyes watched the two women so intently as Onyx explained the so called 'art of seduction' to the innocent girl and he shook his head slightly as he heard every word.
"Trying to seduce me, little Angel?" Lothaire thought outwardly to his self as a mischievous grin spread on his face.
