Felix flew a bit above the ground as he flew towards the creatures in inhumane speed with a glowing silver sword in his hand which he lunged forward at them. The creatures jumped high towards him with their claws ready to slash through him but he struck them with his silver sword as fast as lightning. There were hundreds of them attacking all at once but he didn't weaken even a little bit, his wings shielded him and he whirled like a tornado as he went through most of them in a flash and the effect made bloody pieces of the creatures drop to the floor.
Laverna watched Felix obviously impressed at his shocking strength and prowess as he killed the creatures. She had her fill of watching the impressive half Angel, half vampire and joined in the fight as she levitated high in the air with two blood daggers appearing in her hands and she landed in their middle, slashing through the creatures viciously in a speed of light, causing more of them to drop dead in the blink of an eye but more kept coming and she knew it'd keep them all night if she decided to have fun but they had to help out Lothaire after getting rid of the creatures so they had to be quick about it. Laverna levitated in the air again engulfed with red mists and her hands spread wide as she closed her eyes and Felix knew what she was about to do so he flew as fast as he could from the vicinity before he ended up a bloody corpse. The red mists engulfing her slowly disappeared then within a blink of an eye, it exploded all over the area where the creatures occupied and the moment it touched their skin, they shriveled up and their bodies exploded into tiny bloody chunks, which were scattered on the floor.
"Why didn't you do that before?" Felix asked as he looked at the bloody pieces obviously impressed with her powers but the goddess just smiled mischievously as she slowly landed on the floor but her smile faded and Felix knew exactly why as he whipped his head around to see the thousands of creatures swarming towards them. Laverna couldn't risk doing what she had done earlier because they occupied the temple and Felix would most definitely die from it so they both attacked the creatures as fast as they could in order to help Lothaire before his breed mate got killed. Laverna levitated high in the air as she landed in front of the creatures with her daggers in her hands, slicing through them viciously. Felix's wings sprouted out of his back and he flew forward as he lunged his silver glowing sword at them ready to attack. He pierced and slashed through the creatures more viciously as more kept appearing endlessly and he became furious as he saw the never ending bloody fight, his body glowed with a burning light that blinded the creatures eyes and the light engulfed in his body became hotter as it spread ten meters from where he was towards the creatures, burning through their skin and a good amount of the creatures turned to a crisp, leaving Laverna with admiration for his fighting skills but they still had a long night ahead of them, it felt like the more creatures they killed, the more they multiplied but nothing had a beginning without the end so they didn't stop for a second as they laid waste to them.
....
The air was cold and eerie but most of all intense as they all anticipated the war. Larisa's eyes caught sight of Lycan flying above them in circles until he flew towards them and landed on the ground with a large thud which made the earth rumble. She figured he was also going to take part in the war and she was glad because his immense strength would be a great help to them, mostly her. Larisa was still filled with fear of the unknown that anything could happen especially her death. Her chest and stomach tightened at the thought and she couldn't help but feel nausea, anxiety and fear. The feeling was mutual for Onyx and Zion as they couldn't help but feel uneasy for their own personal reasons. Onyx was scared because vampires were no match for the creatures and she couldn't possibly put all her hope on Avian protecting her because Larisa was everyone's top priority, since her death would mean they would all die too so it'd be useless trying to protect her while endangering Larisa's life because one mistake would take the fragile girl's life. Zion had no doubt he'd die in the war because he was the weakest in the group so he had already anticipated his death and made peace with it but now that he was at the verge of dying, he couldn't help but shudder in fear as his heart pounded hard in his chest.
Lothaire could hear the heart pounding chest of Zion, even though the lad was pathetically weak, he had watched him grow in the palace before he was recruited to be an Emperial and a tiny attachment had been formed but at that point no one mattered as much as Larisa did but there would be no use for him in the battlefield so he thought it'd be better for him to stay beside Larisa like a shield.
"Zion, stay beside Larisa....." Lothaire said and Zion felt hope that he would maybe survive. "....As a shield." Lothaire continued and Zion had a disappointed look as he stood beside Larisa. No one was surprised at his words as only his breed mate mattered to him.
"Everything's going to be fine, Lothaire will protect you." Onyx assured Larisa as she patted her hand on her shoulders in a comforting way when she saw how anxious the human girl was. Larisa gave her a small smile but she was still fidgeting and Onyx held her hands and pressed it softly in comfort and Larisa wasn't surprised by her gesture to make her feel better and it worked because the anxiety and fear she felt lessened. The fear and uneasiness of Larisa didn't escape Lothaire's eyes but he couldn't lose focus and comfort her when the creatures could attack out of nowhere so he ignored it as he awaited the creatures, he saw Onyx comforting her and he felt relieved that there was someone like her with a heart of gold to help comfort his breed mate in a problematic situation.
They had been waiting for the battle to start for over an hour and Larisa wondered if Lucifer wasn't going to help because he was nowhere to be found. Her thoughts where interrupted when a black mist of cloud appeared in front of them and everyone got alarmed thinking it was the creatures but Lothaire knew who it was so he didn't bat an eyelid. The black mist slowly disappeared to reveal Lucifer, exuding darkness from every fibre of his skin, making the air as cold as ice as he walked towards them with a calm but terrifying expression on his face. He felt a presence behind him and he turned to meet the dark gaze of Nyx, the mistress of sorcery, as they called her because she was their leader but there was something off about her, her aura felt different, more powerful and darker.
They all narrowed their eyes to the strange woman that had appeared in front of them. She had black long hair that moved along with the breeze, her skin was greyish in colour and her midnight black eyes glinted darkly at them but what captured their attention was her powerful aura that seemed to make the air around them heavier.
Lothaire wasn't expecting Nyx, the leader of the sorcerers to be present since he thought she'd be sending her minions but now she was there and she was more powerful, which left him confused on the new turn of event.
"What have you done?" Lothaire asked and her black eyes glinted with malicious intent.
"You didn't think I kidnapped vampires to create those monsters, did you?" She asked rhetorically as her lips turned up to a smirk.
"That's impossible." Lothaire said firmly as he was aware of what she meant.
"I made myself powerful with the use of Laverna's powers and the vampires blood, through dark magic and now I'm unstoppable!" Nyx exclaimed as she laughed darkly.
"Did you just underestimate us because you have a bit of power now?" Lucifer's voice echoed darkly as he glared at the woman.
"I'm more powerful than you think!" Nyx growled with glowering dark eyes at him.
"And you've forgotten that we're immortal and you're not." Lucifer said with a calm but dark expression and Nyx's face twisted in anger as she felt intimidated by his words for a split moment.
