Figure Skating used to be Yui's whole life, that was until that incident happened. While skating around, his body swayed and danced on the ice doing advanced movements that made people look at him with mesmerized gazes while he danced on ice.
That was until he suddenly needed to stop, he was going to bump into another person, going real fast he stopped himself planting his skating boots on the ground with extreme force, which then caused his Achilles tendon...
To break. The tendon was placed on an immense stress causing it to be torn apart, thus causing Achilles Tendon Rupture. Ever since then, he could never skate anymore. The severity was too critical.
After a few months with physical therapy, the doctor announced the end of his skating dreams. "You can never skate again." At that time, he felt his eyes widen his soft eyes moistened and tears dropped rapidly.
His face turned into a frown while he raised his hand trying to remove the tears on his eyes. He could never dance on ice again, because of a simple incident. How fragile the human body was.
Suddenly his whole trance was interrupted by Hotsuya speaking. "Ice skating, huh? Sounds nice, were you a skater?" She asked while looking at Yui who was staring at the sky once more.
"Yes. A figure skater to be exact, but now... I can't do it anymore."
"Why?" Hotsuya asked, her face looking at him with concern.
"An injury. My Achilles tendon was severed." Yui said with a bitter face. He looked at those who were skating, he couldn't help but feel envious of those who can freely skate once again, those who can dance once more on ice.
Because it was taken away from him. For what purpose though? Why him? He just wanted to dance... to dance once more on ice.
To see that girl's smile while he danced on ice with a small smile on his face. But that girl didn't truly love him, and the ability to skate was taken away from him. All on the same day.
'I-I'm sorry..." Hotsuya said while looking away, Yui's eyes softened, he gazed over at Hotsuya's figure who looked like a cat worried.
"It's not your fault." Yui turned around while walking slowly towards the stairs on where they stood on. His face was clearly normal, but his eyes truly told an unknown story that he keeps on hiding.
Hotsuya trailed behind slowly before she held the back of Yui's hoodie. Yui felt this and stopped walking before looking at Hotsuya. Hotsuya who had a sympathetic gaze on him, made a small smile.
"I'm sure that ability of yours was taken away for a reason." Hotsuya said her gaze fixated on his amethyst eyes. "I'm sure something is waiting for you if you keep on walking down that road." Yui's purple amethyst eyes widened in response.
Maybe those words were simple lies, but to him those words felt so real. It felt like he was under the warmth of a gentle palm. Yui suddenly turned around, a small smile gracing his lips, but it didn't reach his bored eyes.
"I'll trust you on that one."
Hotsuya's reply was a small giggle.
