Chapter 11 - Before Meeting You

Yui stared at the window, the city lights shining while he sat there with an expressionless face once more. Now that he thinks about, his past was something that he already discarded right?

Yui was skating on ice, using the skate boots to propel himself forward using force. The cold wind from the ice made him feel lively but he didn't feel cold at all. The adrenaline rush was getting to him through how fast he is.

He had a small smile on his face before he stopped, digging his skates on the ground and looking at her. A woman with black midnight hair and sky-blue eyes. Her mouth was smiling but it didn't reach her eyes.

Yui smiled towards her back, unnoticing of her true feelings. Her smile was truly fake, and it took Yui a while to notice that. The fact that all of her smiles were fake.

And Yui didn't know. Yui got out of the ice rink and he immediately approached her. "So how was it?" She asked and Yui made a big smile, different from his present self which look like he was bored.

"Amazing!" Yui said while Himaki, the woman with the black hair, the one that Yui is facing right now. Himaki turned around.

"We should stroll around first before going home."

"Sure."

Their conversations felt so monotone, which the present Yui wishes he had noticed sooner to end this stupid trance that he was in.

Her silky voice was just a sound of another snake, while Yui was a victim that hadn't known he was struck by said venom. While they strolled around the place, the conversations they had were empty.

Even though they were in a relationship, it was quite hard to see it, they looked like friends more than a relationship. At that time, Yui was a bit more energetic than present Yui. His whole life he was lied to by this woman.

1 year, 1 year of being together, all drained all down, and all disappeared. The present Yui can only lament and regret his choices with bitter sadness and loneliness.

Yui looked towards Himaki while they were walking home. "Tomorrow again?"

"I'm sorry, I have "plans" tomorrow."

"Oh, then I'll just be skating alone." Yui said before Himaki stopped, and then made a sharp turn going into another direction while Yui left. There wasn't even a hug, or any goodbyes when they separate.

Making it feel bland, but of course to Yui he didn't notice it, he thought this was normal as it was his first time getting into a relationship. A relationship full of lies that is.

While Yui tried to be a bit more honest, Himaki didn't. She was obviously bad at this lying thing, but she kept on going with it because Yui was just a dense boy, who didn't know much. Yui didn't know that he was just being used as a laughingstock for them.

Betrayal was a funny thing... the next even happened... and it only left a shattered and broken brittle heart.
