The pain started to ebb as the memories of Lancer was ingrained in my brain. I saw his childhood his training his loves as well as his death with a sense of detachment. I knew I wasn't as skilled as he was but I could become that powerful, he wasn't known as Irish Heracles for being nice.
As I came to I started to see the life I had here, it was very similar to Lancers childhood except I am unsure when I am in the timeline. As I was unsurprisingly not in America but Ireland. Guess I'm Irish in this life.
My first plan is to get used to my abilities and to train with Gae Bolg as I can tell from my memories that I am 17years old and have been alone for a long while.
After a while training I had made up mind. I was going to search for nature spirits or a satyr while trying to save as many demigods that I can. I genuinely wanted to help those children and make sure they survive as a thanks to my own second chance.
It was at that moment that I noticed one glaring downside to asking to be Lancer, His E rank Luck but not just any E rank Luck but E rank Lancer Luck. The reason I just took notice was the monster staring at me. It was giant clearly around 11ft tall standing by the trees as it's one eye looked over at me with obvious hunger. His muscles are easily bigger than bowling balls while his legs look more like tree trunks and thank all the gods that he wore pants or I should say shorts.
As he moved towards me I summoned my spear as muscle memory got me into a proper stance to take on this for.
As he swung his club, I dodged to the right while flanking him. It was then I slashed at his legs aiming for behind his knees. His enraged roar signalling my hit shocked me that I was almost hit if not for my instinct.
The battle continued until I decided I wanted to try my noble phantasm.
With a roar I bellowed " Strike true, GAE BOLG!"
I threw my spear and when I saw it going for his shoulder my weapon rewrote casualty to strike the monsters heart. Seconds later it exploded in a shower of gold which showed my victory leaving its heart still pierced by my spear on the ground.
After the battle, I set up a camp and even used a rune to start a fire and cook some rabbit that I hunted. Before I started to eat I remember that I should give an offering to a god or goddess and decided to sacrifice the Cyclopes eye to Hestia to protect my temporary home and some rabbit to Artemis as thanks for the hunt.
Well first day in this new world of god's and monsters but I can't deny that I'm looking forward to how my adventures shall go.
