Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

When Clarke opened his eyes he saw nothing, but a massive wheel. The wheel was probably larger than any structure built by man, it was the type thing you'd see on a "spin the wheel" game show.

On it he could see words written within the slots, all of them were the names of different works of fiction. Some bad, some good. In the centre it said "SPIN THE WHEEL".

The entire scenario was familiar to Clarke, it was earlier today that he had been writing his own rebirth fanfic where he used this exact format. "HAHAHAHAHAHA YESSSSSS!" He laughed in utter joy.

If this was what he thought it was, then his life was about to change. He didn't care about his past life, he was an only child and his parents had already passed away. Clarke has friends, but they really weren't that close. Not close enough to feel bad about this opportunity.

Without any hesitation he ran towards the edge of the wheel where a small handle was attached, grabbing onto it he gave a mighty swing. The massive wheel that should have been physically impossible for any human to move, spun with an intense speed. Clarke waited in anticipation.

After a agonisingly long 20 minutes the wheel came to a halt on "Percy Jackson Books Series." In the centre it said: Difficulty 6.

Clarke had no idea what "6" meant as he didn't know how high the scale could reach. "Is it 6/10 or 6/7? Maybe 6/20?" He could only sigh in annoyance and move onto the result

"Percy Jackson Huh? Only read a few books, not all, but my basic knowledge of Greek should be good enough alt-" Clarke was cut of but the words on the wheels changing. The wheel also became smaller and the words changed to names of multiple people, some he recognised, others he didn't. They were the names of Percy Jackson characters.

With this scene having also been in his story Clarke walked forward towards the wheel and spun again, this time with a light push. The wheel began turning, but at a much slower pace than before.

After 12 minutes the wheel landed on "Hades-ALIAS

God of the Dead and Wealth

Lord of the Underworld

The Rich One

The Silent One

The Hospitable One"

Clarke expression turned thoughtful as he pondered on this outcome. He was happy with how it turned out, as it could have been much worse.

The next thing that appeared was a pen and a piece of paper. Clarke immediately knew what he had to do and began writing

1) To be more powerful than all Olympians

2) To have Complete control over the fates

3) To have a Spear significantly more powerful than Zeus's lightning bolt

4) To have Thanatos's domain of Death

5) For my Spear to be capable of killing any immortal if I choose.

6) To be immune to the divine laws

With the last word the world around him shook as his vision slowly turned black.

——————————————————————————-

When Hades(Not gonna call him Clark) opened his eyes he was welcomed to the sight of a dark and ominous world, the only light was coming from the large amount of random fire and lava that littered the place. There were souls of the dead flying around, giving the place a depressing feel. All in all it looked like something straight out of a little kids nightmare. Clearly it was his new domain, the underworld.

Hades was instantly assaulted by his previous memories and fell onto the ground. He remembered being born, being swallowed by his father Kronos, being rescued Zeus. He remembered fighting in a war with the Titans that lasted many years, only recently coming to an end with them winning. After the war he and his two brothers Poseidon and Zeus decided on how to split the three largest physical domains of the world, even though as Kronos's first born son Hades was next in line to rule. Zeus received the Sky's, Poseidon the seas and oceans, and Hades the underworld.

Hades was seen as the most ruthless god, and was greatly feared by all his siblings, nephews, and nieces, and hence, he was hardly ever invited to Mount Olympus, except for the Winter Solstice, the darkest day of the year. However, by gaining the Underworld, Hades also gained divine authority over all of the precious metals and jewels under the earth, becoming far richer than any other Olympian. Hades would be so feared by mortals and demigods, that they rarely even used his name, and instead referred to Hades as either "The Rich One", "The Silent One", and/or "The Hospitable One".

After the war Hades left for the underworld along with the monsters that were now under his control.

Standing up he flexed his new found strength and spread his awareness all over the underworld. He could feel every inch of it, every soul. In the past Hades was weaker than Zeus by a tiny margin, but now he was stronger. It'd probably take Zeus, Poseidon and 4 other Olympians to defeat him.

Hades was revelling in his new found godhood when felt a presence behind him. Turning around he saw a floating pitch black spear that radiated a foreign energy, unlike anything ever seen. It was so black that it seemed to absorb any light in came into contact with.

"This should my spear, the spear capable of killing even gods" Reaching out Hades grabbed the spear and felt himself become even stronger.

The weapon was connected to him on a deep level, so deep that he could summon it to him from any distance. Zeus's lightning bolt was said to have made H-bombs look like fire crackers and this spear was supposedly even more powerful.

Hades was not at his full strength currently as he had multiple forms of himself running around collecting dead souls. Now that he had taken the domain of Death/Peaceful Death from Thanatos it was his job to escort the dead to the underworld, as well as keep deaths doors under control.

Splitting themselves into multiple versions of themselves is how all gods coped with their godly duties as one body would be incapable of getting the job done.

The reason he had chosen to take the Domain of Death was because it would give him more leeway with bringing people back to life. If he resurrected anybody it would cause him a lot problems, and Thanatos would know, and if two people know a secret it isn't a secret. This way bringing people back from the dead would be a simple task with the three domains of the Death, The Dead and The Underworld.

"FATES!" With a shout from Hades the three fates appeared before him. They were clearly confused and wary as to how they had suddenly appeared in the underworld.

"How have you summoned us?" They asked cautiously. They couldn't see the young gods fate, they couldn't even control it, this caused them to feel a deep sense of foreboding.

Hades did not have the best reputation, and now he seemed to have a certain control over them, how could they not be defensive?

"I have called you here to give you your orders. You will not meddle or attempt to control my fate in any way, I will control my own fate. You will not tell anybody of this conversation or of the power I hold over you. You will not tell others of your lack of control when it comes to my fate. You will not attempt to harm me in any way, physically or otherwise. That is all, leave." Before they could even respond the fates teleported away with shocked expressions.

Hades didn't know where he had gotten this new found confidence as he was extremely shy in his old life. "Must have something to do with being a god." He muttered to himself.

Gods were naturally arrogant, prideful, lustful, selfish and petty. He prayed that he wouldn't turn out the same.

....

Hades returned to his palace and found his Helmet of Darkness resting upon his throne. "Wow, he really left it on his throne" He said thinking that the old Hades was an idiot, forgetting that he was now talking about himself.

If Hades remembered correctly, the Helm of darkness was stolen in the first book by a Luke Castellan, a demigod son of Hermes. Apparently the guy found it lying on the throne as well. The old Hades thought it preposterous that anybody would even try to steal from him, and didn't care where he left his symbol of power.

Hades picked up his Helm and put it on, immediately feeling even more powerful than before. The Helm granted the wearer multiple abilities, most Hades already had, so the Helm on strengthened him and granted him a few more powers. He took his spear and hid it the deepest and most difficult to find room in his palace. It was guarded by many monsters and would be extremely difficult to steal. As for the Helmet he would wear it at all times.

.....

Hades now sat on his throne wondering what to do with the rest of his immortal life.
