Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Silvery Blood

The soft silvery glow of the Cresent moon brought a comforting beauty to the graphite night. It had transformed the rooftop garden into a silvery dreamland, the white marble bathed in the beams glowed like pearls and the crystal clear water in the pool reflected the silhouette of two beautiful creature on earth, embraced in each other's arms. The soft cooing sound of the water played music to the ears and Anirudh pulled Vidhi closer to himself, making her shiver under his gaze.

"You're shivering..." He hushed lovingly. "Come closer!"

Vidhi followed his words as she felt their bodies pressed with each other's. Pleasure sparks started to flow and heart started to beat faster as she felt his strong arms caressing her spine.

This was a new feeling to her, a new emotion that Anirudh's seductive touch had caused in her mind... her body.

With a fevered ecstasy, she wrapped her arms around his back and clasped his shirt firmly. Anirudh smirked at her behaviour and thoughts, and lowering his body a little, he gave her access to his shoulders.

Vidhi swallowed hard, as the intoxicating fragnance hit her senses.

'Its the scent from my dream!' Vidhi thought in a daze.

'How could I have not recognised it before!'

"Because, you were never this close to me before!"

Vidhi jumped up at Anirudh's sudden answer.

"Are you seriously reading my thoughts?" Her eyes widened in astonishment as a strange pleasing sensation muddled her thoughts.

Anirudh had neared his face in hers and his breath had stroked her face with a sensuous warmth.

She saw his lips parting a little as her ears registered the faint words.

"You ask a lot of questions Bondita!"

He had called her Bondita, not Vidhita... And, in her mind, she knew she had to correct him, but, her heart didn't let her.

She parted her lips in response, invitingly, as her eyes closed in anticipation.

A soft peck... Vidhi's chest heaved with excitement as she felt his soft lips on hers, brushing lightly, as he planted one soft peck on them.

His lips were cold, but pleasing and at that moment, her mind and heart cheered out in unison basking in the glory of her first kiss... atleast, to her!

Anirudh smiled lovingly at her as he saw her cheeks become red. He patted her head lovingly in response.

Vidhi was overpowered with excitement and shyness, and all she did was hide her face, burying her nose in the crook of Anirudh's exposed neck.

It was sudden for Anirudh as well, and her soft touch had kindled a long lost happiness and desire in him.

Vidhi rubbed her nose in his neck, pecking a soft kiss on his collarbone.

But suddenly, she felt Anirudh's chest muscles stiffened as he jumped up a little under her touch.

"What... What happened?" Vidhi muttered the question, looking up at him.

"Um... Is that silver? Your nose-pin?" Anirudh pointed towards the tiny dot of white metal that she wore on her nose.

"Um... Yes... Why?" Vidhi furrowed her eyes in a question, as she saw a red burn mark on his collarbone, exactly where she had rubbed her nose.

"Oh my... How did this..."

"I'm allergic to silver... Badly allergic actually?" Anirudh let out an apologetic smile.

"Sorry for runing the moment... I promise I'll make it up to you someday."

He grinned sheepishly.

"No... That's alright. Now atleast you won't search for your old grandfather and try to ship me with him." Vidhi laughed at her own words.

Anirudh got up from the water first and extended his arms for Vidhi to climb up as well.

"And what if he comes infront and you automatically fall in love!" He remarked as he started to unbutton his soaked black shirt.

Vidhi stood in astonishment and gaped at the sight as Anirudh removed the shirt from his body, revealing his seductive ravishing physique to her. He squeezed the shirt, letting water drip from it as he stretched the half dried shirt and wore it back.

Vidhi swallowed hard as he looked up at her halfway while buttoning his shirt back on.

"What happened?" He smirked at her. "Come, let's go back and get changed, else you'd be sneezing tomorrow all day."

"How do you know I sneeze when I get cold?" Vidhi blurted out.

"Everybody sneezes when they catch cold, it's not rocket science." Anirudh looked at her meaningfully making her feel awkward.

"Too many meaningless questions... Come on... Let's go down."

Anirudh turned around walking towards the door as Vidhita inched a step forward following his trail.

But, to her dismay, she slipped on the wet marble floor and fell straight infront, scrapping her elbows and opening up the old wound on her right knee.

"Auchh...!" She screamed in pain as Anirudh turned around and ran towards her quickly.

"How did you..."

Anirudh couldn't complete his sentence as his eyes saw the dark scarlet blood gushing out from the open wound in her knee. His eyes immediately changed colour from hazel to light golden brown as with a sudden jerk, he left Vidhi and stood up.

"What hap..."

Vidhi couldn't complete her sentence.  She sat up on the floor by herself, crying in agony as she saw Anirudh sprinted out of the door.

'That was strange!' she thought, as she tried to gather herself to stand up.

Just as she crutched on an angel status and tried to stand, she heard footsteps outside the door.

'Oh... So he ran to get first aid.' Vidhi smiled at the thought.

"Miss... I heard you are hurt."

Vidhi looked up to Sampurna standing infront instead of Anirudh. A sharp pang stung her heart and she nodded her head slowly showing her the wounded area.

Sampurna sat beside her with the small medical kit as she started to clean the wound carefully.

"Don't worry... It's not as bad as it looks." She smiled at Vidhi.

"Where is he?"

"I don't know, he came to my quater at the backyard and asked for my help. So, I came up immediately." Sampurna replied.

Vidhi narrowed her eyes and her mind started to calculate. It's not even been two minutes that the incident happened. When did he go down to call her. Two minutes was justified for Sampurna to come here, but not for him to go and call her!

"Why isn't he here?" Vidhi asked again.

"Because he is hemophobic... He fears blood!"
