It was the beginning of August, and the morning sky in kolkata had a dark overcast. Vidhi woke up late, with a cranky mood. Her eyes fell on the open window and all the memories of the previous night flashed upon her mind.
"Uff... These dreams!"
Vidhi held her head and groaned.
Her eyes fell on the rectangular digital clock kept on the table as she jumped up on the bed.
"Shit! It's ten already." She groaned again, dragging herself out of the bed, as she carefully bypassed the pieces of glass.
"Good Morning Miss." Sampurna greeted her cordially. "Did you get good sleep last night?"
"I wish!"
Vidhi pouted her lips at her as she headed towards the bathroom.
Her head pounded from the exertion of the previous night and all she could think of was how a day got wasted because of those silly dreams.
She had planned to study so much today!
The room was already cleaned when she entered back to change her nightsuit into something more suitable.
She pulled out a new floral dress that hung inside the cupboard.
'I wonder who might have chosen these beautiful dresses for me.' She thought, slipping into the pretty cotton dress. She brushed her hair gently with a comb and stood infront of the mirror.
There was a subtle glow that had enveloped her demeanor and Vidhi couldn't help but stare at her own reflection.
Her cheeks were pulm and pink, her lips were a little reder than before and there was a hint of shine in her brown eyes.
'Did I always look like this, or is today a special one!' She slapped her head sheepishly, walking out of the door.
The dining table was laid with delicious food, but just for one person. Instead of breakfast, Sampurna had prepared a sumptuous brunch for her.
She pulled one of the chairs and as she was about to sit, a soft familiar voice echoed from behind.
"Hey Miss Sengupta. Good morning!"
Vidhi jumped at the voice.
'Anirudh! What is he doing here? He never comes for breakfast!' Vidhi thought as she greeted him back.
"So, how are you doing this morning?" Anirudh sat down on the other end of the long rectangular table as he kept a glass of red juice infront.
Vidhi looked at him sharply.
No wonder she was happy to see him, but her heart was heavy recalling the incident from the previous night.
"Why do you need to know how I'm doing? You didn't come to check on me last night." Vidhi blurted out in an emotion.
"I'm sorry. But, did you miss me? Did you wish me to come to you at night?"
Anirudh smirked at her, enraging her further.
"No... I didn't! But, I thought you would, because if it would have been you in my place, I wouldn't have left your side."
Vidhi looked down, trying to concentrate on the food as she pulled the dishes mindlessly without thinking what she was taking on her plate.
Anirudh had crept behind her without her knowledge. He stood behind, resting his elbow on the chair-stand as he started to speak, startling her once again.
"Dal, capsicum and raita! Excellent choice of combined." He smiled.
"I really want to see how you eat it."
Vidhi fumed up even more. She dipped the raw capcicum in the dal and took a spoon of raita along with it.
"Yikes!" Vidhi almost puked.
Anirudh laughed out loud at her genuine reaction.
"Don't show your anger on the food please. I'm your offender. You can punish me if you like!"
Vidhi smiled.
"I'm sorry. I know you are scared of blood and it's a medical condition. I shouldn't have reacted."
Anirudh pulled a chair infront of her and sat down.
"Hm... Thank you for understanding." Anirudh smiled genuinely.
"Now, let me see you eat properly."
"Won't you eat?"
"I have already." He pointed out towards the almost empty glass, strained with a thick red liquid.
"What's that?" Vidhi narrowed her eyes.
"Blood!"
A spoon of raita spilled from her hand as she gaped at him at his answer.
Anirudh laughed out loud again.
"It's beetroot and cranberry juice Miss Sengupta, relax!"
Vidhi rolled her eyes at him, as she finished the last morsels from the plate.
"By the way, tell me in which direction the sun has risen today? I've heard that you are a late riser and never come for breakfast!" Vidhi looked at him quizzically.
"That's the fun Miss Sengupta. The sun hasn't risen today at all, so here I am." Anirudh smiled at her, extending his hand, helping her up from the chair.
"Umm... I actually have a small request and a small gift for you."
Anirudh muttered in a low voice.
"Gift and request? Odd combination. Tell me what they are."
Anirudh took out a small box from his pocket and handed it over to Vidhi.
"Open it."
Vidhi slowly opened the dark blue velvet box as instructed.
"My my... What are these!" She gasped, taking a tiny sparkling silvery nose-pin, similar to the one that she wore. And along with it was a thin long silvery snake chain.
"As you already know, I'm allergic to silver. So, I prefer to discard all traces of silver metal from this house. So, I got these for you... If you would kindly..."
Anirudh requested her politely.
"But, aren't these silver too?"
"No, platinum actually. I believe you have a special liking towards cool toned metals, so I got you a replacement."
"And the chain?"
Vidhi asked softly.
"Um... Last night, I saw that thin silver waist chain that you are wearing... So,..."
Anirudh smirked.
Vidhi's face flushed at once. She was wearing a regular top and hadn't expected him to have noticed the chain, but yet he did!
"I'll wear these." Vidhi murmured softly.
"But, you'll have to stay with me the whole day. I get lonely here... And, promise me you won't ditch in the middle."
"I won't, I promise!"
It took her a few minutes to open her old silver nose-pin and discard it in the trash bin. She wore the new one and took out the long chain from the box, admiring it's dazzling beauty.
"Allow me." Anirudh took it from her hand.
Vidhi's heart started to beat faster as he kneeled down on the floor.
"It seems we have a little problem, you are wearing a dress!" Anirudh remarked, looking up at Vidhi, as she saw her own reflections in his deep hazel eyes.
There are moments that defies the law of human nature, and some of those moments are purely driven by passion and instincts with a sizzle of dare in it.
This was one such moment for Vidhi.
As she heard Anirudh's words, she pressed a smile on her lips, and bent down a little. Keeping her mischievous gaze fixated on Anirudh, she lifted her dress upto her thighs and slid a hand inside, pulling out the long silver chain from her waist.
She held it up, letting it dangle infront of his face, before tossing it away in the bin.
Anirudh smirked at her behaviour, making Vidhi bite her lower lip subtly.
"Now your turn!" She hushed into his ears before standing upright.
Anirudh took the platinum chain from the box and looked up into her eyes once again.
"If this is what you want..."
He didn't complete his sentence as Vidhi felt his hands sliding down smoothly inside her dress, without touching any part of her thighs. A sudden shiver ran down her spine as she felt a light feathery touch in her hips, brushing over her new lace panties, as his hands moved up further reaching her waist.
His eyes were still on hers as he held her waist underneath her dress and pulled her closer.
"Don't move!"
He hushed, increasing her heartbeat a hundred times and her rugged breathing echoed inside the empty dining hall.
She clutched Anirudh's shoulder with her right hand, keeping her balance as her left hand gripped the table. She closed her eyes as an inexplicable ecstasy sheathed her mind and body.
"And, done!"
Anirudh clipped the chain expertly and stood up. His hands didn't touch any part of her body except for one light brush, but that small touch sparked thousands of bubbles inside her stomach, ready to explode with desire.
"Miss Sengupta, I said done!"
Anirudh snapped his fingers infront of her, bringing her back from the world of sensuality.
Vidhi opened her eyes, but his smirking face made her bash instantaneously.
"Um... Well... Thanks..." Vidhi fumbled.
"And now I have to study... So bye."
She turned around and was about to leave when Anirudh grabbed her hand and gently pulled her towards himself.
"I want to make up for last night." He looked into her eyes and spoke in a low polite voice.
"Would you give me a chance?"
Vidhi swallowed hard and nodded her head in response.
"Alright, so be ready by six in the evening. I'll take you out for dinner."
