--Ray's Pov--
"Finally, It's the day when I will achieve immortality," I said to myself in an excited and joking tone. I had just gotten up and was full of energy.
[ 5 a.m. ]
It was 5 a.m. so I decided to go to the training facility for a little training. I have been training like crazy for the last two weeks which has boosted my rank by a minor realm and I was quite happy about it.
Putting my shoes on, I made my way to the training facility. As soon as I arrived, a man around the age of 30 waved his hand towards me.
He had a tall build with an average face and dark brown hair. His eyebrows were swirled up in a triangular shape making him look like a weirdo. I thought he was some strict-ass dude who just minds his own business.
But it turns out, he is quite a chill guy who loves to meddle in others' business. He is the caretaker of the training facility but laze's around most of the time. His name is Jason.
"You are quite early today kiddo," he said to me with a smile on his face.
"Yes, today is a holiday so I decided to come train early."
"You have been working hard but remember to get some rest as well or it will burn you out."
"Yea, yea I will only train for 2 hours," I said to him.
"Ray, do you plan on keeping your word?" He asked me with a serious face. He looked quite dangerous right now because of how he looks coupled with his expression.
"Yes, I promise to keep my word," I replied to him while gulping my saliva. I am planning to keep my word though since I need to go to the dungeon.
The dungeon is located on the outskirt of the city of Isgar. The city of Isgar shields the humans from demons, that are trying to attack the human domain from the Northside.
This is the city, where the fourth strongest guild of the human domain [Sacred Fire] resides.
The leader of [Sacred Fire] guild is the youngest SS rank hero in all of the human domain. Because of his presence in the North, the demons have not attacked the human domain from the north for the past four years.
And the dungeon I am planning to go to is on the edge of the human domain making it very dangerous, even tho it is an F-rank dungeon. The reason why I planned to go to such a dangerous place is because that dungeon has not been found by the Supernova so I can enter it easily.
For entering a dungeon, one needs a hero license card or permission of a higher-up but since I have none of those I need to go to a dungeon which has not been found by anyone in the human domain.
As you know 'risk it for the biscuit.' If I want to become strong I need to take some risks.
"How's your spear practice coming along?" Jason asked me while I was busy in my thoughts.
"It's coming along well. I am improving at a good pace."
"That's good but don't get ahead of yourself."
"I won't, I am a very down-to-earth and the modest person after all," I said to him with a smirk.
Jason has been teaching me how to use the spear efficiently for the past two weeks. Ignoring how he looks, he is the best teacher I have seen after Mabel.
The way he teaches is easygoing and chill so it's easy to understand what he means to say. Unlike those teachers in Avalon who will write two pages long answers for a question that could easily be done in two lines.
The most important thing he taught me is to not make any unnecessary movements.
If I make unnecessary movements, it will result in me showing openings to the opponent.
Another advantage of not making unnecessary movement is, that it will save energy which is a very important factor in a long fight.
The person who has more energy always has the upper hand in a long fight.
The second thing Jason has taught me is to master the basics. The stronger your basics, the stronger you will be. I still remember when he said to me, "Don't fear a man who has practised a thousand moves once But fear a man who has practised a single move a thousand times." This line sends shivers down my spine even now.
The third and no thing Jason has taught me is to always keep my mind calm during a fight. Don't let your emotions control you, control your emotions. A calm person can analyse the situation quickly and acts according to it. That's what he said to me.
Other than that he hasn't taught me shit. He is a lazy bum ass person who loves to eat potato chips more than teaching me. Even now he is holding a bag of potato chips.
"I am going to train now, see you later," I said to him with an annoyed expression and started leaving before I lose my calm and pounce upon him.
[ After 2 hours ]
"Finally I am done," I said to myself while I was covered in sweat. I have been practising for the past two hours.
After practice, I returned to my room and took a shower. After taking the shower I ate some ramen and packed my bag. I packed some daily necessities in the bag which could help me, in case something went wrong.
I always prepare for the worst because of my luck. I had even taken my brush with me in case I got trapped in the dungeon.
Putting the spear which I had gotten from Avalon on my back I made my way to the portal.
Avalon is located on an island, so the portal is the only way to go somewhere.
As soon as I reached the portal, two guards stopped me from entering it.
"Show us your ID card," the first guard said he a monotone voice. I showed him my ID card and entered the portal.

[ Training facility ]
In the security room of the training facility, two people could be seen standing. One of them was Jason, while the other one was an old man around the age of sixty.
"Adam, did you disguise yourself like me again just to laze around?" The old man asked Jason in an angry voice.
"No old man, I didn't do it this time," Jason replied to the old man with pleading eyes.
"Don't lie, I just saw it in the camera."
"Old man you dream too much these days."
"Dream my ass, you are the [Seat of Zero] go do some work."
"Ok, ok I am going." Jason finally gave in and took off the face mask.
If Ray would have seen Jason just now, he would have instantly recognised him. He was none other than Adam White, The Seat of Zero.
His face was so handsome that it could make any girl faint. Golden hair coupled with his golden eyes made him look divine. The aura around him was that of a ruler. Even by seeing him once, one could say he was born to achieve something great.
