--Ray's POV--
"Why is everything spinning?" I said to myself while coming out of the portal. Everything around me was spinning and I was feeling a strong urge to puke right now.
I somehow controlled it and sat on the chair nearby. While I was trying to recover from what happened just now, a guard in black clothes came and gave me a reddish-brown medicine. He told me to swallow it which I did without any second thoughts.
I guess it was a common problem since the guard was giving the medicine to other people as well who just came out of the portal and were making weird faces.
After swallowing the medicine, I finally felt better. Turning my head around, I took a look at my surroundings. I was in the city of Rio right now, the capital city of the Human Domain.
It is located in the center of the Human Domain.
Even the smallest buildings I could see were ten storeys big. I was surprised to see such big buildings. What do these people have in their houses? Why do they require these humongous buildings? That was the question in my mind right now. Sadly, there was no one to answer me.
Other than the buildings, the atmosphere was pleasant and the people were moving around in their vehicles. No one seemed to care about the fact that I was carrying a spear.
They ignored it, as people ignore the advertisements that come on their mobiles.
If it was my previous world, then half of my country's military would be standing right in front of me just because I was carrying a spear.
I guess people here are used to seeing weapons, since all the heroes in the human domain carry weapons except for a few of them. After resting for a few minutes, I made my way to the station from where I could get a train to Isgar. I decided to take the train to Isgar since I was broke.
The portals run on mana, which comes from mana stones. Mana stones are rare stones that hold mana in them, and they drop randomly when someone kills a monster or a demon. Any monster or demon at B rank or above is sure to drop a mana stone, while monsters below the B Rank have a one in a thousand chance of dropping a mana stone.
Because of this, mana stones are very expensive, with some S-rank mana stones even costing billions. Since portals run on mana, they are quite pricey, and I have no money to afford them.
After walking for five minutes, I reached the railway station, which was quite big, and there were a lot of people, making the place crowded and noisy. I made my way to the booking counter and got a train ticket for myself. Keeping the ticket in my pocket, I got on the train and sat in my seat.
My heart was beating as fast as drums. The train I was currently travelling on moves at the speed of 3,000 miles per hour. After just ten minutes, I reached Isgar. I hopped out of the train and quickly made my way to the outskirts of the city.
I didn't know the exact location of the dungeon, but in the novel, it was on the northern border of the city, located behind a large tree. So I did what any wise man should do.
Thud! boom*
Thud! boom*
Thud! boom*
After an hour of chopping down trees left and right, I finally stumbled upon the entrance of the dungeon. The entrance was covered with thick vines and rocks, which could have been the reason it hadn't been discovered until now. Despite knowing the general location of the dungeon, it took me an additional hour to find it.
However, the entrance to the dungeon was still not visible. Instead, there was a hole where the entrance should have been. After managing to squeeze my way inside, I crawled for a few minutes until I could finally see the entrance of the dungeon.
"Why is this F-rank dungeon located so deep in the forest?" I shouted at the top of my lungs. The author probably did it just to add a few more words to his story, and now I was suffering because of it.
After taking a deep breath, I calmed myself down and entered the portal. My head spun again upon emerging from the portal, but it wasn't as bad as the last time.
Without wasting any time, I made my way towards the inner part of the dungeon. A foul smell suddenly entered my nose, worse than that of a rotten egg, and I couldn't locate the source of it.
The dungeon was pitch-black with hardly any light seeping in from the roof. Skeletons and the heads of various creatures were strewn across the ground.
[After 30 minutes]
"Finally," I exclaimed in relief. After wandering for what felt like hours, I finally spotted a group of goblins. The sight of them made me nauseous - they were about 140 cm tall and their putrid odor was overpowering.
Without hesitation, I readied my weapon and prepared to take them down.
"Ice Spike," I murmured as I summoned a long, sharp icicle in my hand. I launched the spike towards the goblins, piercing the chest of the first one and killing it instantly. Pulling out my spear, I decapitated the second goblin with ease.
Their bodies hit the ground with a thud. "Finally, the stench is gone," I muttered to myself as I took a deep breath of fresh air.
[After an hour]
swish!!
Thud!
swish!!
Thud!
I had been slicing through monsters like a hot knife through butter for the past hour, leaving only the Dungeon boss left to defeat.
I regretted not bringing a storage ring to collect the monster's remains, but there was no use dwelling on it now.
"I should take a break before I face the boss," I decided and sat on a nearby boulder.
As I rested, the ground began to shake and rocks started falling around me. I turned around to see what was causing the disturbance, and to my surprise, there were...
