Grana stepped inside the kitchen. There was a middle age woman sweeping the kitchen floor. She was the one who cooked meals for the Monorich family for years.
She was surprised to see the young lady early in the morning.
"Young miss, good morning!"
Grana smiled warmly at her.
"Very good morning aunty Chinthiya! Today you don't have to cook for us."
Chinthiya raised her eyebrows.
"You're gonna go out to eat?"
Although they were extremely rich, they rarely went out for meals. Besides it was still early and the darkness didn't entirely fade away.
"No,no. Today I'm going to make the breakfast."
Chinthiya's face lit up with a bright smile on her face. She had seen Julian growing up and she cared about him as her own son.
That poor boy lost his parents and grandpa on the sameday. She was so sad, thinking how much that kid suffered from his family's loss.
However now it seemed like he found a person who cared and loved him dearly. He won't be alone anymore.
"Oh, that's good young lady. Young master will definitely love your delicious food." She said nodding and smiling.
Grana clicked her tongue.
"You are flattering me.I'm just an average cook." Chinthiya waved her hand.
"No, no. They are special as you add love to them."
Grana's face flushed and she lowered her head shyly.
"Okay, I won't bother you anymore, young lady." Chinthiya quickly cleaned the kitchen and left.
Grana wore an apron. She took out a pan and rubbed her hands together with a nod.
'Let's start!'
Julian came towards the living room while wearing his cufflinks. When he passed the kitchen,he smelled a sweet aroma through his nostrils. He automatically followed the smell all the way to the kitchen.
"Oh, you're here. I've made some soup and sandwiches. Eat while it's hot." Grana said settling down the plates on the table.
Julian grabbed a piece of sandwich and swallowed it.
"Mmm...delicious!" He praised her with a smile.
Grana's face lit up instantly.
"Why thank you!" She said with a happy and wide smile.
Julian put his index finger on his chin and pressed his lips.
"I'm thinking... when did you learn to cook? Went to cooking classes?"
Grana shook her head.
"Cooking is a basic knowledge. In my opinion, everyone needs to learn how to cook. And I didn't specially go to classes instead I learned it from mom."
Julian pursed his lips.
"Are you insulting me?" He asked angrily and unhappily.
Grana was taken aback by his sudden question. 'Why is this guy so unreasonable?'
"Why? Why do you think so?"
"Don't you know that?... That... I don't know how to cook."
'Oh he's so cute!'
She really liked his expression.
He was like a kitty who missed its fish. She patted his shoulder.
"Don't worry. I'll teach you."
"No, I'm busy. I have no time."
"Jully..."
"Don't call me that."
"Then jelly?"
"Granaaaaa!!!"
Grana laughed out loudly shaking her head. She really liked to piss him off. It was so good to see his darkened poker face which looked like the bottom of a pot.
"Okay, I won't mock you anymore. Now eat properly."
"Hmmm... you can join with me." Julian invited. Grana's lips curved into a smile.
"Okayh!"
Julian put a piece of meat in Grana's bowl saying, "You are too skinny. Others might spread rumours about me abusing you. So eat properly."
Grana wasn't happy to hear that at all.She pressed her lips like a baby and glared at him which he found rather cute than fierce.
"I'm not skinny. I'm slim. You are just jealous of me."
Julian wanted to laugh when he heard it.
"Why should I be jealous of you?" He asked showing off his well built muscles.
Grana wanted to roll her eyes but when she saw his strong arm, she swallowed unconciously. Momentarily, she fell into a daze like she was bewitched by his attractiveness.
"Don't drool. I know how handsome I am." Julian said proudly raising his chin.
Grana's face turned red in embarrassment.
"So narcissistic!" She mumbled pretending to be annoyed.
After finishing his breakfast Julian prepared to go to his work. Before leaving, he turned to face his wife.
"Although I don't love you, since we got married and now I'm your husband, I should fulfill my duties that I'm capable of. Thus... Do you want me to bring you to your workplace?"
Grana's heart, which was filled with joy due to the breakfast they had together a moment ago, instantly turned sore.
"No need, I can drive by myself." She pretended to be unaffected and said coldly.
"Okay, your choice. I'm leaving now, bye!"
Julian waved his hand slightly and turned back and left in his Rolls royce. Grana looked at the direction he left untill he dissapeared from her sight completely.
Then she sighed softly before returning to their house to get ready for work.
Grana worked as a government officer. She got a satisfied salary but compared with Julian's it was too little. But she loved her job.
So she continued her career although now she became a wife of a billionaire CEO. Before their wedding, they'd already discussed this matter with elders.
Two families gave their approval for her to do her job. Even Julian didn't disagree.
"She has the freedom of choosing what she wants to do." At that time, he said that.
His words made her severely touched and she loved him even more.
But now... all she felt was loneliness.
She was a person who craved for love from others including her family, teachers, friends. Not to mention her husband whom she spends the rest of her life with.
But she wasn't lucky enough to have a partner who loved her. However Grana made up her mind. Since she agreed to marry him, she would fulfill her duties as a faithful and a responsible wife.
Her love for him would be enough for both of them for the rest of their lives. After thinking that way, her anxious heart finally calmed down.
