Chapter 5 - I love you

Two hours ago...

Grana stopped her car in the parking lot which was belonged to the building where Meera's apartment situated. Then the both of them got off and took the elevator to reach Meera's apartment.

"Wow," Grana cried in surprise when she saw the decent looking apartment of her friend's. It wasn't her first time visiting Meera.

But this year, Meera decorated her house in a different way changing the colours of the walls and building a small garden in a corner. It was truly beautiful despite of the small space. But to a single freak like Meera, it was more than enough.

"It's not as good as your good-for-nothing husband's mansion," Meera uttered mockingly.

"No, it's really cool. I wish I can live in an apartment as well instead of that giant mansion," Grana said sincerely.

"Why don't you ask your good-for-nothing husband then? You guys can move on to an apartment. Isn't it boring to live in such a big house?"

Grana thought about Meera's idea and shook her head. "No, Mee. Grandma is still in hospital. She will be discharged soon and return home. She won't be able to bear with it."

Meera squinted her eyes unhappily. "Why so?"

"She can't live without her grandson and she possibly can't live in a small apartment at such an age. So nope."

Meera rolled her eyes, annoyed.

"Why? Isn't she currently living in a hospital ward WITHOUT her grandson? Don't tell me she's already dead."

Grana pinched her arm hard.

"Ouch, Granah! It hurts." Meera rubbed her hand, sparing a glare at her friend.

After a while, they finally selected their dresses and quickly wore them before applying light make-up. Meera wasn't satisfied with her makeup after doing so.

"Should I change my makeup into an exclusive one?" She asked after giving it a thought.

"No. You look charming, simple and elegant with light make-up."

"Wow, G!" Meera couldn't help exclaiming loudly the moment she turned around to face her friend. "I don't know whether your theory is matching with me or not. But it's definitely matching with yours. You look stunning and I'm not lying."

Grana giggled. "Aren't we looking polar opposite?"

Meera examined their dresses before nodding her head like a rat. "Like a white lotus and a badass girl in a Chinese romance novel," She said.

Grana was wearing a white gown which reached her knees. She looked simple but noble at the same time. The dress hugged every inch of her body as if it was made just for her although it was one of Meera's dresses.

On the other hand, Meera wore a black v-neck dress which reached an inch above her knees. She wore black boots unlike Grana who put on white high heels. As Grana said, they looked totally different. However, both of them looked dazzling on their own way.

"Wait a minute. Did you just call me a white lotus?" Grana asked with a cute pout on her lips. Meera shook her shoulders with a playful smirk on her lips.

Fifteen minutes later, they went to a bar and took seats next to eachother. The minute Grana sat down, a handsome man with a 5 o'clock shadow beard approached her and took the empty seat next to her.

"Beauty, Can I accompany you for a drink?" He asked in a seductive voice. It sounded bewitching and any girl would throw themselves at him if they were to hear his magnetic voice. But, Grana was an exception.

"No, thanks. I have a friend to accompany me," She politely refused him, pointing her finger at Meera.

The latter was drinking a cocktail, not paying heed to their conversation at all. She looked like she was immersed in her own little world. Grana was suddenly at a loss for words. 'Is she doing it on purpose?'

"You meant her?" The handsome man asked doubtfully. "Oh, come on, baby girl. I'm not asking you to have sex with me. It's just a drink, okay? Don't make a fuss."

Grana rolled her eyes, showing her annoyance at him.

"Although you ask me to have a one nightstand with you later, I can't agree because I'm a married woman." She didn't even know why was she bothering to explain everything to a total stranger.

The handsome man chuckled when he heard her. His low chuckle was like soothing music to hear. It sounded like ringing bells.

"Oh, woman, it's not a big deal whatsoever. Your husband won't find it out anyway. If you gets pregnant with my child later, you can just tell him that the child is his. Problem solved." He even whistled after he finished talking.

Grana felt so disgusted. She didn't know that someone could be this shameless.

"What if your future wife does the same to you one day?"

'Why am I even asking such questions from a jerk?'

The young man was suddenly stunned and looked at her, speechless.

Grana sneered and got up to change her seat. She dragged Meera far away from that man and chose a dark corner to sit down, hoping to escape from wolves's sharp eyes.

They drank various kinds of drinks to their hearts' content and finally they were feeling dizzy. Both of them were talkative like parrots when they were drunk.

"Jully Jelly, I love you!" Grana screamed like a mad girl.

"Good-for-nothing husband of hers, can you hear her? She says she loves you! At least, from now on, treat her the best." Meera chimed in.

Thereafter, she thought of something and shook her head babbling, "No, he can't hear us no matter how much we yell and shout at him." She half opened her drowsy eyes and reached out her hand for Grana's phone. She could barely sit on her seat and her body was swaying to both of the sides like a swing.

"Gimme..."

"Give you what, psycho?" Grana chided. "Let me continue my confession. Jully... I love you, okay? I really, really do."

Meera rolled her eyes. "Hey, you're the psycho here. Gimme the phone so that I can call him."

Grana let out an 'Oh' before doing as she instructed. "Here you go."

Meera searched the contract list with difficulty. Nevertheless, it wasn't that hard because Grana had his number on the top even above Meera's number. Meera's face darkened when she realized that. But she forgot it for the time being and dialed Jullian's number which was saved by Grana as 'My loving Hubby'.

'Loving honey, my ass,' She scolded in her heart.

After a few rings, Jullian eventually picked up the phone.

"Hello," Since Meera had turned on the speaker, Jullian's cold voice echoed through the bar and hid among many noises.

Jullian frowned when he heard the sounds from the other side. Without thinking twice he figured out where she was.

"Are you in a bar?" His voice turned even colder as he interrogated his stray wife.

"Why do you even care, you good-for-nothing husband?!" Meera barked.

Julian was so angry that he was about to yell at her when he realised that something was wrong. It wasn't Grana's voice. Unexpectedly, his heart filled with anxiouty. 'Did something happen to that silly woman? What should I tell grandma then?' He felt troubled. His wife was such a pain in the ass!

"Give the phone to my 'WIFE'." He emphasized the word wife. Meera sneered. "She's right next to me. The phone is on speaker."

Julian sighed. He didn't pay attention to Grana's friend again as he spoke, "Grana, listen. Don't be silly and destroy my family's reputation. Just send me the address so that I can pick you up."

"Jully..." Grana called out to him sweetly. "I..."

Beep

Beep

Beep...

Grana: "..."

She was about to say that she loved him but Julian Hung up the call before she could finish confessing her feelings. Grana let out a soft cry before hugging the wine bottle to sleep.
