It looked to be the reanimated skeleton structure of an ogre or some sort, as there was a sighting of tusk growing from the lower jaw of him. Within this giant skeleton's eye sockets, there were white dots. At some point, the white dots glanced at Kivas before the giant skeleton clanked its teeth and everyone in front of him followed suit.
'Much excitement and zeal! It seems like they are provided with a great working environment!'
And just like that, the giant skeleton ignored Kivas and went somewhere out of his sight.
The torch let out a golden light and chime, and so Kivas acquired his second purple orb of this run.
There was no known boon this time, so both of the options were [???]. The symbol of the first one illustrated three of unknown runes, and the symbol for the other panel was a three head of a canine.
'Wait, could it be…'
The three headed hound of hell, the Cerberus!
'Boon of Constitution! It is also something that I know from my former life!!'
In Greek mythology, Cerberus, often referred to as the hound of Hades, is a multi-headed dog that guards the gates of the Underworld to prevent the dead from leaving. This nightmare fuel for a child was the offspring of the monsters Echidna and Typhon, and was usually described as having three heads, a serpent for a tail, and snakes protruding from multiple parts of his body.
Seeing how the cerberus was alway depicted as strong and menacing, Kivas had a childish urge to try this familiar boon.
Albeit, for most of the case, the symbol illustration usually depicts the kind of changes that Kivas would acquire from the subject of the constitution. If he would follow this pattern, then he would have a high chance to acquire three extra heads like that of a cerberus.
He began to imagine his tadpole slime body gaining the feature of three heads akin to that cerberus.
'That looks nasty…'
If only he got the 'serpent for a tail' part of cerberus, it would be nice to have an extra talking friend to replace his useless tail, he thought. That is, if he can even talk.
Meanwhile, the other option includes three lines of runes that doesn't really indicate a thing he knew whatsoever. Of course, at the early run like this, it would be better if he acquired a 'Boon of Utility' as it would mostly be associated with the torch itself, a direct upgrade with no downside.
'Well, who cares for efficiency? I can just die and see if I can get that option again!'
Easy for you to say.
And just like that, Kivas ended up choosing the most cool option out of the two. With the [???] letting out a serene humming of wind as the other panel disintegrated into nothing. The chosen panel then rearranged itself, sliding into the center of Kivas' view before revealing its content into a language that he could understand under the golden light.
-Boon of Constitution-
[Cerberus' Constitution: Three Flame-Breathing Heads]
-Cry havoc and slip the dog of war! What do the howling hounds hear that we can't? The moon sharpens its sword on the Earth's stone, fallen to the tear by the hell's bark. Promise, by the guardian of land with no seas. Dampen and fasten yer armor with the flame of Hades-
The shiny gold panel dispersed before converging into a flickering golden ball of flame, hurling itself at Kivas.
The transformation occurred.
And just like how it was depicted in the symbol, three canine heads bursted out from the core of his body. Unlike the other Boon of Constitution that changed the texture and trait however, this upgrade literally added three heads with the same texture bodily system of the original physique.
So, just like that, Kivas acquired three blue derpy jello-like canine heads on the front part of his tadpole-shaped body.
'Eh…'
Just as after the transformation occurred, a couple of the reanimated skeletons nearby began to flock into Kivas' location.
"Warf! Warf!"
He barked.
'Oh! I can bark!' One of the canine heads nodded with a smile. 'THAT AIN'T USEFUL!'
There seemed to be a visible hint of interest from those skeletons. It wasn't long until they all continued with their work, however.
'Well, at least this boon didn't cause another death of me.'
As Kivas dragged his body with his lower arms and leaped forward, his three heads flailed back and forth like an inflatable stick man in front of a retail business area.
'This doesn't work to what I imagined.'
Kivas then remembered the name of the boon.
'Oh right!' Kivas slammed his clenched claw onto the open heel of his other palm. 'It said that I can breathe fire!'
And so, Kivas imagined himself as that one dangerous monster of greek, guarding the gate of hell as there was an army of intruders marching forward.
The almighty Cerberus exhaled his flame.
And thus, an itty tiny bitty spark of flame was unleashed from the three of his heads.
The nearby skeletons glanced at him, some even clapped as if they were watching a dog doing a trick.
'I forgot that I'm still a blob of slime who feeds off moisture…'
It seemed to be highly incompatible with the current element of his body.
'Well, that is still two purple orbs in less than twenty minutes.' Kivas showed a proud face on all of his canine faces. 'That is my biggest record yet!'
After numerous tricks and transformation, his body needs a replenishment of energy. So without further ado, Kivas decided to search a source of moisture before continuing his further venture of this run.
If only he could ask the skeleton miners for direction…
'I guess I can still live without any water for an hour at most.'
In the middle of the exploration, Kivas stumbled upon a rather atypical yet understandable figure.
It was quite the beautiful woman with horns and devilish wings like that of a bat. She wore a skimpy outfit beneath a dark violet capelet, fingerless gloves, and armored boots that were up to her knees.
'Even with all the fabric combined, it still only covers 40% of her skin…'
Black short hair, with fierce and sharp eyes, thick eyelid, and a twisting blade tattoo below the left eye. This woman raised one eyebrow as she gazed at the derpy three-headed amalgamation in front of her.
'She must be that, right?'
Succubus.
While the lady wondered what the hell she was looking at, Kivas worried if she ever caught a cold.
